The heroes surrounded the great table in the center of the Justice League Watchtower, all of them in a deep discussion.
"I don't know, something definitely seems off with him," Hal Jordan was saying. Green Arrow was nodding in agreement. Opposite him was Wonder Woman, who was sitting stone-faced.
"I'd say so!" Aquaman said unhappily. His arms were crossed. "The man cucked me!"
"'Cucked?'" Cyborg asked from the far end of the table.
Aquaman frowned deeply. "You know, philandered! Fraternized! Pu-"
"Fucked," The Flash finished. "He's saying Batman fucked his wife."
Aquaman nodded fiercely in agreement. "Can you imagine? One of the great heroes of our time, a supposed beacon of light for you humans, and he... he... violates my sweet, gentle Mera! Can you imagine Batman doing that?"
To the side, both Hawkgirl and Vixen blushed violently. Wonder Woman blinked slightly faster than normal.
"If what you say is true..." Cyborg began."
"IT IS TRUE!" Aquaman yelled, slamming his fist on the table. He quickly checked his hair to make sure it hadn't gone askew.
"Well, okay, but how are we to know that Mera didn't seduce him?"
Aquaman stood up from his chair? "Excuse me???" He asked.
Cyborg put up his hands nonthreateningly. "I'm just saying, maybe it wasn't Batman's fault.
"How dare you, sir!" Aquaman responded. "My Mera would never betray me like that! Batman must have tricked her, or given her something. She is pure & innocent."
Green Arrow & Cyborg blushed violently at this. Green Lantern blinked slightly faster than normal.
"How is Mera, anyway?" Vixen asked. "Are you two okay?"
Aquaman sat back in his chair. "We both decided that it would be good for our relationship if we took a little break. She's been training some of our more disobedient soldiers." Aquaman couldn't help but smile proudly. "They say she's doing a great job! From what I understand, those boys are getting worked by her day & night!"
The table groaned. Under his breath, Cyborg muttered, "Jesus, dude..." Aquaman looked around confusedly.
"Oh, my friend," Green Arrow said, patting Aquaman on the shoulder, "You really need to get that under control." He laughed heartily.
"Oh, you're one to talk," The Flash said snidely. "Especially considering how Black Canary has been spending her nights."
Green Arrow's laughter slowly died out. "...What?"
Flash laughed. "Oh, I guess you were too busy with Arrowette to keep up on your ex. From what I hear, she's been keeping the Batcave warm lately."
Green Arrow's eyes went wide and then narrowed. "Fuck you, Wally." He began to stand up.
"That's enough," Wonder Woman said quietly. The room snapped to attention. They knew that Wonder Woman didn't speak unless she had come to a decision about something. "We all know that the world is at risk, especially with Superman investigating that rumor about his home planet."
The room nodded; they were all tired.
"That goes double for Batman," Wonder Woman continued. Aquaman opened his mouth to speak but Wonder Woman's glare quieted him. He crossed his arms unhappily. "We all know he has been working overtime to solve the mob problem in Gotham City. We just need to give him some space."
The Flash piped up quickly. "Speaking of space, I guess Batman has been filling up a lot of space in Black Ca-"
The Green Arrow leapt across the table, his hands searching for The Flash's neck. The Flash was a blur, running around the table and putting the Green Arrow in a chokehold. Everyone ran to them to break up the fight.
"THAT'S ENOUGH," Wonder Woman yelled, bringing the room to a standstill. They all stood, still holding on to one another, as silence filled the room. After a few seconds, an alarm began to sound. Martian Manhunter came from the next room with a report.
"Giganta is currently on a rampage," He monotoned. "She is currently making her way towards Gateway City."
"I'll go," Hal Jordan said. "I can get there quickly."
"No," Wonder Woman responded. "Giganta is my responsibility."
The other members of the Justice League noticed a small smile form on Wonder Woman's mouth, one that would be imperceptible if one wasn't used to her grim demeanor.
"I'll take Batman," She declared, "And check up on him. If he's the man we've all come to know, he'll have no problem taking down Giganta."
The other members of the Justice League nodded. It seemed like a good idea for all of them. Only The Flash smiled.
"Speaking of Giganta, I hear that's what Black Canary called Batman's di-"
"I'll kill you!!" Green Arrow shouted. The room fell into a clamor once more.

Tommy was currently running as fast as he could, bullets whizzing past him. He was being chased by a madman, one who was quickly gaining ground on his prey. Tommy ran through Gotham's waterfront, trying as best he could to put something between him and his assassin. Tommy couldn't believe that the villain was able to keep up with him.
'Man,' He thought, 'This guy runs really fast for a guy who wears a dress.'
The Tally Man was Great White Shark's favorite assassin and one who was incredibly deadly. That he also wore a ridiculous costume was beside the point. The man wore a tall blue hat and a long blue... frock, or something. To Tommy it was a dress. He had a long pointy nose and wide, white teeth. He called after Tommy as he chased him.
"I'll get you, Batman!" Tally Man shouted. "Your debt is long past due and I'm here to collect!"
Another gunshot whizzed past, dangerously close to Tommy's head. Tommy rounded a shop corner and pushed himself fast against the wall. He crept to the corner and stuck out his foot as Tally Man passed, tripping him. Tally Man landed with a thud and his gun went skidding about 10 feet away. Tommy ran towards Tally Man and jumped on top of him. The villain was clever, though, and flipped Tommy over him. They both came up from the ground at the same time. Tally Man swore when he realized Tommy stood between him and his gun.
"Let's see how tough you are without your gun," Tommy said with a sly smiled.
"I am going to execute you like the dog you are!" Tally Man hissed in response. The two men prepared to battle, likely to the death, when they suddenly turned to the side and noticed that a woman was standing next to them.
A Wonder Woman.
"I need you to come with me, Batman," She said.
Tally Man and Tommy looked at each other. "Um, can it wait?" Tommy asked. "I'm kind of in the middle of an epic battle with this guy."
"Yeah, I was actually going to have to kill him," Tally Man added.
Wonder Woman sighed. "How long is that going to take?"
The two man seemed to be thinking.
"About 10 minutes," Tommy said.
"Yeah, that sounds about right," Tally Man said.
Wonder Woman tapped her foot. "I can't wait that long. You need to come with me now."
"Well I can't just leave this guy free to roam the streets of Gotham," Tommy said, referencing Tally Man.
Wonder Woman sighed again. She walked up to Tally Man and grabbed him by the collar. With a casual movement she threw him, sending him screaming. He flew high in the air and out over the water. Tommy heard his scream venture off into the night air as he disappeared from view. Tommy couldn't even see the splash.
"Can we go now?" Wonder Woman asked. Tommy, wild-eyed, nodded his head quickly.
Wonder Woman grabbed Tommy and lifted him to the top of a nearby building. She dropped him with carelessly onto the ground and he fell in a heap. As he picked himself up, he scurried to catch up to Wonder Woman. She walked swiftly towards the center of the roof.
"You're not doing a very good job of pretending to be Batman," Wonder Woman called over her shoulder. "The other members of the Justice League are getting suspicious."
Tommy was annoyed. "How could they know? Crime is actually down since I took over," He said proudly.
"Well, there's the whole fucking Aquaman's wife thing, for starters," Wonder Woman said, stopping and glaring at Tommy.
