A Night In Gokarna

Radhika and Ramesh had taken advantage of the long weekend for Holi and ridden out from Bangalore to Gokrana. They were excited for their trip to Gokarna Beach, a secluded spot that promised a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of their busy lives. A nine hour bike ride on their mean machines saw them enter the idyllic precincts of the sea side resort town. They pitched their small tent and spent the afternoon lounging by the shore in their swim suits, dipping in the water and taking in the beauty of the pristine Arabian Sea and the setting sun. Radhika's lissome body looked ethereal in the warm glow of the setting sun and Ramesh couldn't but click a few pictures of her looking so alluring in the diffused light. Suddenly, bright lights came on and all the figures stepped into the light, they realized that they appeared to be normal people. Just then three youths in their early 20s appeared from the back ground. They turned out to be a group of vloggers who had been making fake paranormal videos to post online.

The vloggers laughed and taunted the couple, revelling in their ability to create such a convincing illusion and having seen the fear in the couple's eyes a few minutes ago. Then before Ramesh realised two of them grabbed him while two others caught Radhika and tried to touch her inappropriately. In the melee she had pulled on a skimpy crop top braless, a totally inappropriate attire considering the current situation as her nipples poked through the thin fabric defiantly. She kicked hard and one of her accosters was down on the ground in pain. A long haired man who appear to be their leader got enraged and slapped her hard while three of them held down Ramesh who fought like a wild cat and tied his wrists with a belt and gagged him. The men then started searching their belongings looking for valuables.

The long haired man then pushed up Radhika's crop top and lustfully began to grope her bare breasts with a lecherous fervour, while his cronies held her down trying to rip off her panties. Radhika, overwhelmed with terror and despair, resigned to her fate- "This is end game" she thought her eyes brimming with tears.

Suddenly, a cold gust of wind blew, and the bright lights flickered before going out completely. The vloggers froze as they heard a chilling laughter, and a ghostly figure appeared before them, dressed in tattered clothing and with a face full of rage. "Now who the hell are you....this is our area, leave or else..." said the long haired man in an irritated voice. The figure said nothing and moved closer. One of the cronies lost it and threw a punch at the figure only to go sprawling on the ground as he went through the figure. There was a sulphuric smell emanating from the apparition as the ghostly figure started attacking the vloggers, and they screamed in terror as they realized that they had actually awakened an actual malevolent spirit that haunted the beach.

Radhika and Ramesh managed to free themselves in the chaos and ran, their hearts racing as they heard the vloggers' screams being drowned out by the sounds of the raging spirit. They ran away from the beach, but the ghostly figure pursued them relentlessly, and in their panic, they stumbled and fell.

As they lay there, helpless and afraid, the ghostly figure loomed over them. But instead of attacking, the spirit spoke in a hoarse whisper, "Take you things and leave this place. This beach is cursed. Those who desecrate it shall face the wrath of the spirits that haunt it and will remain here forever." And with that, the spirit disappeared into thin air.

Radhika and Ramesh were left shaken and traumatized by the experience. They left Gokarna the next morning. A Bangalore newspaper article read that five youth who were also well known paranormal vloggers had gone missing in a secluded beach in Gokarna and inspite of the best efforts of the police were not found. Their cameras were found, which recorded some footage of what appeared to be a hoax of three of them dressing up as ghosts but surprisingly went blank after that. Rumours persisted amongst locals that they had been killed by the angry spirits that haunted the beach.
