Note:This is my first story. Lately, I've had this fantasy running through my head, so I decided to write it down. English is not my native language, so there might be some mistakes. I'm open to criticism..
This is the first part of the story. Enjoy!
=========
My name is Carlos, and I am a freelance programmer working remotely from home. At 24 years old, I have an average height and a relatively normal appearance--fair skin, brown hair, and brown eyes.
Currently, in an effort to save money, I live alone in a cheap apartment. It's not that my salary is low; I just prefer to avoid unnecessary expenses, as I don't like to be extravagant. Sometimes, a little is more than enough for me.
Because I work from home, I don't go out much for fun and have few friends. I only feel like leaving the house on holidays, vacations, or when I want to visit my family.
My life is going well, and I have no real complaints, though I do wish I had a girlfriend. However, I firmly believe that it's best to focus on my career for now.
Recently, I received several project requests from a software company. Since the deadline was tight, I ended up working myself to exhaustion, neglecting my own well-being. As a result, I neither slept nor ate properly.
As I worked, I longed to finish quickly and rest, regretting accepting the job without considering hiring assistance.
After barely making it through this grueling ordeal, I decided to take some time off before accepting another project. A week to clear my mind would be enough--to take care of my health properly, enjoy each day of rest, reconnect with myself, and do things that truly make me feel good.
However, the day after finishing my work, I felt a strange pain in my genital area while urinating. At first, I thought it was just a fleeting discomfort, but every time I urinated, the pain returned.
I speculated that since I had neglected my health--specifically, not drinking enough water--I simply needed to hydrate, and the issue would resolve itself. But that was not the case.
Fearing it might be a urinary tract infection, I decided to consult a specialist. I called a doctor I knew, Thomas Adrian, to schedule an appointment.
Thomas is a 60-year-old doctor whom I have known for some time. He has always been attentive to me and my family, so I always turn to him when I need help. This time would be no different.
After dialing the phone, a voice came from the other end:
"Hello, who is this?"
"Hi, Thomas," I said. "It's Carlos. How are you?"
"Carlos! I'm well. And you? It's been a while since we last spoke."
"Yeah... I'm a bit worried about a health issue and wanted to schedule an appointment with you."
"Of course. Tell me what's going on."
"Well... For the past few days, I've been feeling a strange pain when I urinate. At first, I thought it was temporary, maybe due to dehydration, but the pain keeps returning."
"I see. It could be a urinary tract infection or some irritation. It's important to check this as soon as possible. Can you come to my office tomorrow?"
"Yes, I can. What time works best?"
"I have an opening at 10 a.m. Does that work?"
"Perfect."
"Great. In the meantime, try to drink plenty of water and avoid any self-medication, okay?"
"Got it. Thanks, Thomas. See you tomorrow."
"See you tomorrow, Carlos."
The next day, I got dressed, had breakfast, brushed my teeth, and left at 9 a.m. I arrived at the clinic where Thomas worked after walking for 50 minutes. After signing some forms at the reception, I sat down and waited for my turn.
Ten minutes later, the receptionist called my name, and I entered the designated room. The consultation room was simple but well-organized. The walls were painted in a light tone, giving off a sense of cleanliness and tranquility. At the center stood a dark wooden desk, upon which lay some papers, a pen, and a powered-on computer. A cushioned chair was positioned behind the desk, while two simpler chairs in front were reserved for patients.
To the right of the room, a medical examination table with white sheets stood beside a small metallic cabinet, where medical instruments and disposable gloves were neatly arranged. Above the cabinet, a shelf held bottles of alcohol, cotton, and sterilized materials.
It was only then that I noticed something odd. Thomas always greeted me with a friendly smile and a pen in hand, ready to take notes. But the person sitting behind the desk wasn't him.
Instead, a young and attractive woman observed me with a professional gaze. Her dark hair cascaded lightly over her shoulders, framing striking facial features. The pristine white lab coat she wore contrasted with the tight black clothing underneath. Her ample bust was subtly noticeable under the fabric, yet her posture maintained an air of seriousness and competence.
For a moment, I was paralyzed, trying to comprehend what was happening.
"You must be Carlos," she said, her voice smooth yet firm. "Dr. Thomas couldn't see you today, so I'll be handling your consultation. I'm Dr. Helena."
I swallowed dryly, feeling a slight heat rise to my face.
"What happened to Thomas?" I asked, feeling a slight pang of concern.
Dr. Helena placed her pen on the notepad and looked at me with a calm expression.
"He had a minor car accident this morning," she explained. "Nothing serious, fortunately. But the doctors advised him to stay under observation for a week, just as a precaution."
I let out a sigh of relief.
"Wow... That's a scare. But he's okay?"
"Yes, just a few scratches and a slight shoulder impact. Nothing requiring hospitalization. He insisted that I take over today's appointments so his patients wouldn't be left unattended."
I nodded, still processing the information.
"I see... Well, I hope he recovers soon."
Helena offered a reassuring smile.
"He definitely will. Now, let's talk about you. What's been going on?"
I remembered the reason I was there and tried to push aside my concern for Thomas. I adjusted myself in the chair before answering.
"Right... So, I recently took on a large workload with a tight deadline, which led me to neglect my health. After finishing everything, I started feeling pain while urinating. At first, I thought it was temporary, but it keeps coming back."
She picked up her pen again and made some notes.
"I see. Aside from the pain, have you felt any burning, an increased urge to urinate, or noticed anything unusual in your urine?"
I shook my head.
"Just the pain. Maybe a slight burning sensation, but nothing too strong."
She nodded, crossing her legs while keeping a focused gaze.
"It could be a urinary tract infection, but there are other possibilities as well. I'll need to ask you a few questions and then conduct a physical examination. Is that okay with you?"
I swallowed dryly, feeling slight discomfort at the thought.
"Sure... That's fine."
"You only feel pain when urinating, or at other times as well?"
I thought for a moment before answering.
"Only when I urinate. Other than that, nothing feels out of the ordinary."
