Dear Literotica readers,
If you are aware of my previous story, I must warn you: on this one, I've turned things down a notch or two. It's still excessive, mind you... but not all the way up to 11. I hope you'll enjoy it regardless -- or better, if you thought that was too much the first time.
Joy had already been awake for a few minutes when the 8.30 AM alarm ring struck on her phone. She was laying lazily on her bed, enjoying the soft caress of the morning sun peeking through the shutters, the promise of another lovely day.
She stretched languidly, cat-like, her muscles humming with the satisfaction of a nice sleep. She was glad they didn't go too hard at it yesterday, as indeed the big party was planned for tonight, and they needed all of their energy to make it legendary, as it should be. This was their reward, after all. They'd been training hard for months, the six of them, and it had paid off so well: they had made Austin the new NCAA champions for the first time in the history of the University.
After setting the alarm off, she got up, and walked over to the large mirror in the back of the room. She had slept fully naked, as she pretty much always did since she left her parents' house, and was looking distractingly at the reflection of her smooth, perfectly shaven body.
I look... okay, I guess?
she thought.
To anybody but her, that would have been the understatement of the year. But it is a fact of life that only the most egotistical people could find themselves hot-looking just after getting out of bed, and Joy was indeed a perfectly sane person. That concern about her looks, though, also had another motive: it turned out that for the first time in months, she had somebody on her mind.
It had begun yesterday, as she got started on her morning's jog. Like most people running somewhere for the first time, she had no idea where to go, and that app she was using to help her find her way had her eyes glued to phone, not improving the situation one bit. Which is how, barely five minutes after she got out, Joy had bumped into Tyler.
"Oh damn!" she shouted, totally confused. "Are you alri..."
But that guy had looked perfectly alright indeed. He was looking at her with a gently bemused expression, his deep, playful blue eyes fixed on hers, a warm smile on his perfectly chiseled face. He looked about the same age as her, and judging from the running outfit he wore, he was extremely fit, with broad shoulders and a set of arms that looked as large as her own thighs. Oh, and he was tall, too... At 5'11", Joy was definitely above the average woman in that department, but it looked like she just reached a little past his shoulder. Really, the guy's physique was overwhelming... but it was funny how he still kept a relatively boyish face. That gave him an awful lot of charm.
"Don't you worry, I'm fine," he said, his dark blonde hair falling over his forehead. He brushed it back with a smile. "Name's Tyler."
"Joy," she replied, extending her hand. He had a firm, but warm grip, that he let linger for a quarter second more than what would have been just formal.
"Hi Joy! I don't remember seeing you over here... you've just arrived?"
"Yeah, and I won't be here long... we're just on vacation here, for a few days."
"We...?" Tyler asked.
"Yeah, the girls and I. Beach volleyball team. Austin University."
"Now wait... didn't you girls win the championship this year?"
"Wow," she said, slightly taken aback. "You're good! Usually people don't even know there's a team over there! You're into volleyball?"
"Not particularly... I'm into sports in general, I'd say. That's one of the few fields where I'm... knowledgeable, I guess?" he laughed.
I'm sure there's another field where he's knowledgeable
, she mischievously thought while admiring his figure, but she quickly snapped out of it.
"Hey," he went on. "How about we continue chatting while we run?"
"Sounds like a plan," she replied, and off they went.
"So, you play sports too?" Joy asked.
"I used to... a hell of a lot! I played football all the way to high school, was about to start in college but then, you know... life got in the way... hip injury... it was deemed better for me never to play again."
"Oh crap... I'm sorry about that, really. I couldn't imagine, you know... giving up on volleyball myself. I can't imagine how terrible that must have felt for you."
"Yeah, that was hard, but... what can you do, huh? So now, mostly, I run and I hit the gym. Almost every day. Feels good. I can't complain, really!"
They kept talking the rest of the way. It turns out Tyler was their neighbor by the other side of the road, living with his roommate in an incredible mansion that used to belong to a couple that were friends of his parents. The husband was an army man who had been killed in action six months ago, and his wife did not feel like staying in that place anymore, for understandable reasons. But the lease on the house still ran for two years, and she had agreed to let him and his roommate stay in while they completed their studies in Florida. "We've been so lucky", he said, not mentioning the fact that his rather intimate relationship with the widow had certainly weighed a lot in her decision.
Five miles had passed, and they were now in their post-run walk, back to their starting point. The past 45 minutes had been a blast to Joy, as she found this guy to be funny, easygoing, and all around nice. Three out of three, that was pretty rare... especially for such a hot guy!
"So, what are you girls doing in this part of Florida?" Tyler asked.
"Well since we won... we thought that we'd like to celebrate," she explained. "So we rented that cottage for a few days, you know... to cool it off and... have fun!"
"Sounds like fun indeed," he said. "You're staying up to when?"
"Ummh, until Tuesday so... five more days? Including this one, so... yeah."
"Good, you'll have time to enjoy it! And that place's great. I know the family who owns it, they used to live there, and they've always been super nice to me."
It was hard not to, Joy thought. This guy had something about him, his super-chill attitude, the way he engaged with you, that would make him lovable to pretty much anyone. And besides... he was pretty much her taste, physically. Joy found herself looking forward to jogging with him more than she had imagined.
And maybe... doing other kinds of activities too.
She decided to push her luck.
"By the way... we're hosting a house party tomorrow night. It's a small thing you know, just the six of us, but we're together all the time, we know each other by heart, so... I think it wouldn't be so bad if someone else... joined in."
Tyler paused, his eyebrows raised. "So you want me to... crash your team party?"
Joy laughed, "No, no, I mean... if you'd like to come, you'd be more than welcome. It's just us girls, so we wouldn't mind some... change."
"Well, I'm glad you're asking, Joy. Really! I'm flattered, even. And sure, I'd love to come. Actually, is it OK if I bring my roommate? He's super sweet, and a really fun guy too."
