When I got the call that my administrative assistant was transferring to another facility, I made sure to put the word out to the right people, that the position was open. I knew who would apply for it, and who I wanted to apply for it. Of course, even though my ethics were a little on the skewed side, I knew she would do it.
Lisa. My associate delivery associate, you know, the one who I'd built a very strong, emotional and sexual connection with. The one who I had spent two days with in Las Vegas, in her arms whenever I could. While we knew our relationship would need to end, we weren't in any real hurry. We hadn't met up since then, but a couple of hot phone sex conversations, and sexy Snapchat helped keep that spark going. Was it wrong? Yes. But did I care, not anymore. I was happy, and she made it so.
My work phone rang, and I picked up, not really paying attention to who it was.
"Oh, good morning Rayanne," I said quietly, the district's HR liaison was calling with her Monday updates. Going over staffing, she finally mentioned three interviews scheduled in the afternoon for the admin assistant position.
"You have two external interviews and one internal. Let me know who you pick, so they can transition over." she was blunt, and to the point. The call ended, and my Outlook calendar began to populate with the interview times. The second one was her. I knew it would be, and let's face it. We already knew she was going to get the promotion. I was biased, plus the thought of being able to enter and exit her office, whenever I felt like it, and being her direct report? It was a turn-on. She was going to see a whole side of me that she didn't get to see, the manager's side of me.
With interview one complete, I had an hour before the next one. I almost wanted to rub one out so I wasn't tempted to fuck her on my desk during the interview. But I needed to follow protocol, and I would, mostly. The hour came and went, and when I opened my office door, I could see her to the left, conversing with one of her colleagues, who she had a wonderful friendship with.
"You ready?" I said with a half grin, the other associate smiled and hugged her before disappearing into the other office, glancing to me before walking off. I knew the look. 'You better hire her'. Well of course I was going to, but not before making her try for it. Extending my arm for her to enter my office, I closed the door, urging her to sit while I took my seat across from her.
I could see the pink hue in her cheeks, and I couldn't help the grin that formed. The silence between us was deafening, and a turn-on. Thankfully from where I sat, she couldn't see the raging hard-on I had, or this interview might have started off much differently.
"Are you nervous?" I asked, writing a few little notes on the side of the interview notes, looking up to see her watching me, crossing one leg over the other. This job didn't require dressing up, but she wore a dress, and I had a feeling it was on purpose.
"A little, but I'm also confident in myself, so I'm sure it'll pass soon enough." her smile was beautiful, her confidence did radiate from her, and it was one of the many things I admired about her.
"Well, no need to be nervous, I'm going to ask you a series of five questions, and while you talk, I'll be taking notes. Let's start with this one: Talk about a time in your career, that you have gone above and beyond for an associate or customer, and what was the final outcome." I looked up, watching her take in a deep breath, her shoulders relaxing. She spoke about her position with our company, about how she made moves to make sure customers received their orders, even when mishaps occurred.
