I learned at a very young age that you have to seize life by the moment and cherish each moment of time. As the day will come, when everything you cherish and love, is gone and your life has been reduced to memories you possess in your mind. My whole life, since I was a young teenager, I had a camera in my hand. As to this date I have collected over 3Terabaud of pictures documenting my life. I remember at the age of eight I was already working in a dark room, processing my pictures.
Not too long ago I was looking over a group of family photos when I stumbled on a set of pictures of my wife and I, back in the 80s. We really enjoyed camping, rappelling, rock climbing and doing many activities together, even if it was in the hot summer or the dead cold of winter. Looking at these pictures I am taken back to the day, this was close to our favorite snake pit, and old abandoned gold mine with 1000s of diamond back rattlers. There is a natural spring creek running through the property with some of the coolest and freshest tasting spring water, which runs year round. Looking over these old pictures, I remember they were taken in June, temperatures was already hitting in the 100s.
It was on our third day of camping when I decided to quietly walk to the creek and take a cool relaxing bath and just cool off, the temperature was already at 97 and it wasn't even lunch. There was a nice secluded spot at the creek about 16 foot round with a sandy bottom that was excellent for swimming, the water almost waist deep with refreshing crystal clear water. First thing I notice when I stepped in was how cool the water was, it felt like 60 degrees, never the less it felt wonderful, I could feel the goose bumps on my skin. I could even hear the gasp in my voice change when the cold water reached my balls. At the center it was wait deep with the best part it had no wild life or snakes in it, due to the cool temperatures.
