Rob really hoped his new roommate wouldn't be weird.
From their conversations over text, Rob found out that Lisa had just graduated college and was looking for a place to live close to her new job.
Rob's apartment, which was in walking distance of the city center, was the perfect location for her.
So far, so good. All Rob really cared about was if she had a job and would pay her rent on time.
Years of living with a revolving door of roommates--whether it was old hippies who didn't believe in banking, young line cooks who spent too much of their paycheck on drugs, or slackers of any age that never seemed to have a stable source of income--lowered his standards considerably. Not that he was picky in the first place. Rob was approaching his thirties with no big rush, enjoying the city and his bartending job with every passing week. However comfortable the gig, though, there was no way he could afford an apartment in such a prime area without a roommate.
Lisa responded to one of his online posts about the apartment and introduced herself over text. Rob didn't really bother being friendly--he just wanted to make sure she could pay her rent on time.
They were supposed to meet at 10:30 in the morning so Lisa could check out the place and discuss the lease. It was 10:40 and he had no word from her. Not a good sign, thought Rob.
His train of thought was moving faster and faster into annoyance when a gorgeous brunette peeked in from the hallway.
The train froze, as did Rob.
She was just his type. Her long brown hair flowed just past her shoulders, and her heart-shaped face was framed with a large pair of glasses. She was wearing a cropped hoodie and yoga pants, an outfit that would have looked lazy on anyone else, but somehow accentuated her fit body perfectly.
"Hi," he said, or tried to. His voice cracked, making a sound much like a dying frog.
He cleared his throat and tried again, lowering his voice an octave to hide his embarrassment.
"What can I help you with, miss?" he asked in what he thought was an authoritative tone.
The girl giggled, a sound that made him feel light. Seeing this beautiful girl smiling was almost worth making a fool of himself.
"I'm looking for an apartment. Are you Rob?" she asked, an amused expression accentuating her cute features.
Was this Lisa? Rob hadn't mentally prepared for the possibility of his roommate being attractive. This was a problem, since he wasn't used to talking to hot women without at least two drinks in him.
Lisa raised her eyebrows slightly, a half-smile still on her face. Rob couldn't get over how sexy she was, even though she, by now, probably thought he was a moron.
"Um, I'm Lisa," she said, attempting to draw Rob out of his stupor.
It worked. "Lisa! New roommate, right?"
She giggled again. Rob wanted to record the sound and replay it forever.
"Prospective roommate, yes," Lisa replied coyly. "I'm guessing you're Rob, then. Are you gonna show me around?"
Rob realized she was still standing out in the hallway.
"Umm yeah, come on in!" he said, beckoning for her to enter, then he gestured around. "This is the living room."
Lisa entered the apartment and took a look around. The room wasn't that big, with only a couch and a TV in it. It felt spacious, though, thanks in part to the large windows offering a scenic view of the city.
Lisa didn't say much besides looking around the room for a second, then turning her eyes back to him.
Why was she looking at him? Rob's self-consciousness started creeping in. Breaking the awkward silence, he moved towards the kitchen.
"And the kitchen's over here. We got a lot of counter space, but not a lot of room to move around. With past roommates, we've taken turns using the kitchen."
The kitchen was also small, and was separated from the living room by a breakfast bar.
The cramped quarters didn't seem to bother Lisa, who followed Rob into the kitchen and decided to explore the cabinets.
Turning sideways, she squeezed past him, her round butt brushing up against him as she moved by.
Rob froze as he felt her soft butt momentarily push against his crotch, but she didn't seem to give it a second thought as she bent over and looked into a lower cabinet.
Her ass was right there in front of him, Rob realized. His brain told him not to stare, but his eyes knew what they wanted.
Her tight yoga pants exposed every curve of her butt as she bent over. The black material went sheer as she bent further, and Rob could faintly make out her bare flesh. Was she not wearing panties?
Lisa stood up and turned around, leaving Rob to quickly act like he wasn't just staring at her ass.
"It is pretty cramped in here" she remarked, "but I think you and I could fit easily enough."
