One night, I was at a bar with one of my friends. We had just gotten off work and wanted to grab a drink to unwind. We were sitting at a table in the outside seating area when I noticed a woman at a bar. She was looking around the bar when I caught her eye. I averted my gaze not to be creepy then slowly looked back at the bar. She looked over and our eyes met again. I gave her a small smile and she smiled back.
She looked to be in her early twenties; no older than 25. Her hair was blonde and fell to the top of her shoulders. She wore a purple sleeveless blouse and denim jeans. On her feet were black flats. She sat on a barstool and seemed to be drinking alone. Her hand was on the rim of a wineglass as she looked up at the televisions behind the bar. Various sports games were on and the volume was deafening in the bar.
Afterwhile, I stood up to go to the bathroom and I saw the woman turn her head and our eyes met again. I did that same small smile again and walked to the bathroom. When I returned, I saw that the woman was talking to the bartender. My friend asked if we should leave and I told him that I was going to stay for a little while. We paid the check and he left the bar. I walked over to the bar counter and sat down next to the woman. She turned her head and looked at me. I smiled at her and introduced myself. She told me that her name was Margo. We spent the next two hours or so getting to know each other.
I found out that Margo was a Marketing Manager for an advertising agency. She was hardworking and very aggressive when it came to getting what she wanted. She was in charge of a small team and she worked long hours. She told me that she had stopped into the bar because she needed a drink after a very long day.
