At that time, I was friends with them. I might have been able to get them to treat you with more respect. I really enjoy your classes, and it always bothered me when they acted up. She was struggling to control her smile. "It is very kind of you to say, but it is not your responsibility to manage my students. I appreciate the thought, though." She paused. "Are you no longer friends with Mr. Ducane and Ms. Langley?"

He shook his head. "No. I've found new friends, and I'm doing my best to learn something from the mistakes I made in the past," he admitted.

Keet's eyebrows rose.
