I'm Michelle, a 30-year-old Brazilian. I'm 5'8", I have dark brown, shoulder-length, curly hair, brown eyes, tanned skin, big breasts and a curvy, hourglass figure, wide hips, thick thighs, a hairless pussy and a big, round butt.
I arrived in Vietnam on a hot Friday afternoon. The flight from Brazil was long but I slept a little. The city was busy and the traffic was intense. My first stop after going through customs and immigration was the school where I would be teaching. It was in the afternoon and the temperature was hot. I found a taxi driver who spoke some English and he brought me to the school where I met the director, Mrs Li, a thin, elegantly dressed, fifty-something woman with kind eyes. I knew immediately that I would like her. We drank tea in her office and talked about many things, but more importantly about the school and my experience as an English teacher. I admitted that I was still a bit uneasy about teaching a large number of kids, as I hadn't had a lot of experience teaching in Brazil, but she assured me that the kids were generally well-behaved and that they would like me. The new school year was about to start. I had a weekend to prepare myself for the first class.
I left the school feeling a little calmer but still apprehensive about that first class. It was spring and blossom was appearing on the trees in the city. I sent a message to my friend Wei to let him know that I was now available to meet him.
I had met Wei on an online penpal site and he agreed to show me around the city. In fact, Wei was one of the factors which influenced my decision to accept the teaching job in Vietnam. I had explained I would be working there as an English language teacher and it was good to have friends in the city. I received a message from Wei saying he would meet me at the train station in a few minutes. I found the train station and waited. I was amazed that 13 million people lived in that city but I didn't see another person from the west. People were staring at me. I was wearing a white cotton top with long sleeves, jeans, a light blue vest (the neckline of which showed a bit of chest and cleavage) and sandals (not ideal for walking around in). I saw a man who looked like Wei walking towards me, smiling.
"Hello. Michelle?"
"Yes. And you must be Wei."
"Yes, that's me," he replied with a laugh.
I also laughed, almost a little hysterically, but I suspect this was from the relief of recognizing a familiar face. I was resisting the impulse to hug him because I did not know if this would embarrass him or not.
"What would you like to see first?"
"What can you recommend? Also, I need to improve my Vietnamese fast!"
"OK. Are you hungry? How about we go to my uncle's restaurant for lunch now and after I will take you to the mountain outside the city. There is a great view of the city from there. And also a lot of little Buddhist temples. I think you will like it."
The food at his uncle's restaurant was good. I ate fish (although I was a little disturbed by the fact that I had to choose the fish I was going to eat from an aquarium near the entrance and the chef would kill it and prepare it). As we ate, we talked about life in the city, and the differences between Brazil and Vietnam.
Wei's uncle came to greet us and insisted that neither of us had to pay for the food. We thanked him and left the restaurant. While on our way to the mountain, we visited some shops. It was a little less unnerving to be stared at with Wei walking next to me.
When we arrived at the mountain it was coming to the end of the afternoon. Wei was wearing a white t-shirt and black shorts, white socks and sneakers. We walked around the various temples and climbed further up the mountain. In all the temples, people had left offerings of fruit on an altar in front of the statues of Buddha. We stopped at one temple and a group of schoolkids asked to take a group photo with me. Wei took the photo as we posed. The kids laughed when I spoke to them in the Vietnamese that Wei had taught me and then went off with their teacher as we continued our visit. We followed a narrow path that led into a large cluster of trees and after about twenty minutes we arrived a temple which seemed much older than the others. A few lanterns had been lit in the temple courtyard. I had taken off my top as I was starting to get warm from the walk so I was just wearing my vest, my arms and shoulders bare.
"It's OK for me to be dressed like this here, isn't it, Wei?"
"I think so. Not many people know about this temple, but let me see inside first, OK?"
Wei walked into the temple and stood in the entrance looking around. Then he turned back to me. "OK, Michelle, there is no one here. Come in."
I walked into the temple, greeted by the faint smell of burning incense sticks which were glowering in the semi-darkness. In front of a cross-legged statue of Buddha, people had left offerings of fruit, although not as many. In the area in front of the altar, cushions were arranged in a square on a carpet.
"How do you pray...or worship?" I asked.
"You can pray however you want," Wei replied. "What is your religion?"
"Well, I'm Catholic but I'm not very religious although I believe in God."
"We offer things to Lord Buddha. Let me show you."
Wei took an incense stick and lit it, put it in the box of sand in front of the altar and joined his hands in prayer, bending forward with his eyes closed. He looked at me and smiled. "Now it's your turn."
I did the same and saw Wei moving about on the periphery of my vision.
Wei had taken out his cameraphone. "I can take your photo, Michelle? You look very beautiful in this light..."
I felt myself smiling and laughed as Wei took my photo.
"Aww, so beautiful, Michelle." he whispered as he moved around excitedly. "aww, so beautiful!"
"Can I see the photos?"
"Yes, sure."
