The evening sun cast shadows as it peeped through the semi closed blinds of the living room. Marcy sat curled on the couch mindlessly flipping through the daily mail she picked up on her way into the house. Her mind was miles away turning over her day and reliving the hours of meetings, PowerPoints and meaningless conversations. Day by day it's the same routine, each day blending into the last. She felt a need to shake things up. She felt the need to feel important and to matter. She wanted nothing more than to get some excitement and energy back into her life.
The sundress she wore to work clung to her fit form and she could feel the warmth on her tone legs as the spring sunshine splashed across them. Marcy loved the way the dress hung to her curves and accentuated her figure - testament to her dedication to diet and daily gym pop-ins. Growing up, boys always admired her. While not oversized, her breasts were pert but ample enough for her swimmer's frame.
Today, she wanted to mix things up and be a bit naughty. She wanted to regain some much-needed energy from life and decided to go the day without panties. If nothing else, it'd be a special treat for her husband Tom when he got home. She didn't really think anyone would notice but when she ran to the xerox and grabbed her presentation from the bottom paper tray, she was surprised to see her boss Rob looking at her intently with his piercing blue eyes. She blushed a bit when she realized her dress had bunched up as she bent over, and she couldn't shake the idea that she probably had given him a free show.
Rob kept his gaze as she walked by and Marcy decided that rather than be embarrassed, she wanted to own it. What's the harm, she thought, Rob may be a hard ass, but he is hot, fit and powerful. His eyes consumed her and the whole situation made her feel sexy and feminine.
As she passed, Marcy stood tall and purposely passed Rob unnecessarily close to his body, slightly invading her personal space. To put a cherry on top and assert her control of the situation, she gave him a quick wink from over her shoulder as she headed down the hallway to her office - his eyes following her the whole way.
She shuddered a bit at the thought of how brazen she acted but had to admit she was getting a bit wet just thinking about it. As her mind continued to aimlessly think about Rob and his gaze, her hand involuntarily dropped to her lap, then under her dress before slowly tracing the outside of her exposed pussy lips before slowly and deliberately circling her clit. Lost in the moment, she was suddenly jolted back to reality when she heard the front door open and shut with a bang. She immediately jumped, both startled and embarrassed. She quietly hoped that she had managed to pull her hand back in time before Tom caught sight of her and asked what she was doing.
Tom and Marcy met during college and married young. While at first the passion was palpable, many years and struggles later, they were in a rut. Creative and spontaneous when they were dating, a series of life events seemed to wear Tom down and beat the joy and creativity out of him. Despite original big plans and dreams, he found himself in a dead-end job and seemed miserable but also unwilling or unable to change anything. Some days Marcy couldn't help but think he had simply given up.
Tom worked longer and longer hours over the years and seemed all too happy to hit the road or generally be away from the house. Marcy felt like she was drowning trying to manage the household needs and a full-time job. Overall, they were both stressed and it was as if they lost their ability to connect to one another and reset like they used to.
Breaking the silence and peace, Tom strode into the room and immediately dropped his lunchbox and bag on the table by the couch. After a quick "hi" and peck on the lips, he plopped down and turned the TV on, finding the baseball game he must have been listening to on his ride home.
As he noisily settled in to watch the game, Marcy once again felt ignored and under-appreciated. Here she was looking cute and likely still radiating heat from her earlier excitement and his only focus had been on tuning into a 0-0 ballgame in the bottom of the fourth inning. Realizing he wasn't in the mood to engage, she pushed herself to her feet and made her way to the kitchen to get a late dinner started for the two of them.
As she got to the kitchen, she heard a buzzing coming from the room. Her eyes scanned the room for the source and quickly found her cell phone lighting up buzzing with the ringer silenced. As she picked it up, the buzzing stopped, evidently, she just missed the call. She cursed to herself, realizing it was Rob calling from the office. She cursed again realizing he had already called three times, but she missed them in her distracted daze earlier. She quickly called back, and Rob picked up on the first ring.
"Marcy! Thank God you called back! I was trying to print out the brochure for tomorrow's trade show and the damn file froze. It must be corrupt as I can't get it to open back up now. Do you have a backup you can send me?"
Rob had a bit of an edge to his voice and Marcy could tell he was stressed. She put her hand to her temple trying to recall if she kept the file and suddenly remember saving it to her desktop.
"Not a problem, Rob!" Marcy confidently responded. "It's on my desktop. Do you need me to come back to get it or can this wait till tomorrow?"
Rob sighed before answering, "I hate to ask but can you come back? I need to print out about 100 copies and there won't be time in the morning."
Marcy felt a surge and spark realizing he needed her and that she could be the one to save the day for a change.
"Of course!" she replied. "I'll head out now and be there in 15."
She hung up, grabbed a granola bar for the road and headed for the door. As she walked pass Tom looked up confused.
"Where you headed?" he asked.
"I'm stepping out to head back to office. Rob needs a file from my computer before the end of the night."
"Rob?" Tom rolled his eyes. "Can't that prick get it himself? And, what about dinner?" Tom was obviously annoyed, but Marcy was felt the need to hustle and was in too much a rush to deal with him being patronizing.
"There are some leftovers in the fridge from yesterday. I shouldn't be too late. Love you!" she said as she ran out the house.
Marcy quickly got in the car and headed to the office. As she was turning out of the neighborhood, she almost missed the stop sign on the corner and was forced to slam on the breaks. The sudden jar of the action made her take a deep breath and forced her to collect herself. Why was she acting like she was rushing to save a life. She's doing Rob a favor and if it takes a few more minutes to get there, who cares. Why was she acting like his approval meant so much to her that she would drop everything to come at his beck and call?
