Two College Freshman Get Acquainted

This chapter sets the stage for this series and is devoted to character and story development. There is only a brief mention of sex in this chapter.
A few weeks after the incident with her brother and his friend, Kate headed to college for freshman orientation. She met Heather, her new dorm roommate. They bunked together during orientation and began getting acquainted.
Heather was from Wisconsin, while Kate was from Minnesota.
They discovered that they were both volleyball players in high school and had also played on some private teams in the off-season.
They were big girls, fairly tall and athletic. They were in decent condition for their weights, but let's just say they had some meat on their bones.
When there were meet and greets during orientation, the guys always noticed their big breasts, well-packed shorts, and toned legs. Two or three fantasized about what it might be like to do an intimate sweat wrestle with them.
Kate had an engaging mischievous smile that told you she was feisty and liked to have fun. Her slightly plump lips were a medium red, typical of darker-skinned brunettes.
Heather was friendly, reserved, and somewhat shy, with a good sense of humor. She was an attractive blonde with a fair complexion and she seemed to be the sweet girl-next-door type.
As they talked in the evening before bed, they discovered other things they had in common. In addition to volleyball, they were good students, liked music and going out dancing. They loved to play cards. They were both personable and got along well from the start.
For as much as you could tell about someone in two days, they were happy to be roommates.
It was a coed dorm, but the men's and women's rooms were on separate floors. It wasn't long before guys were on their floor checking out all of the babes. Before school started, they went out in mixed groups a couple of times, eating or drinking and dancing. During that week, they got better acquainted with quite a few different people as well as each other.
Kate was an outgoing extrovert, so she had no trouble meeting the guys. Heather was an introvert; so getting to know people was more difficult for her, especially with guys. Recognizing Heather's reluctance, Kate took her in tow. It was easy to meet and talk with other people when Kate was with her despite Heather's introverted tendencies.
The women also spent a lot of time talking with each other about their pre-college days. They shared stories about their experiences playing volleyball and talked about the antics they got into while traveling with their teams. They described their friends at home and the boys that they had dated.
Kate had been around the block quite a few times in high school. She had several boyfriends, and a football player punched her V-card. As evidenced by her experience with her brother and his friend, she was quite sexually active and enjoyed all of it.
They differed in their views toward interacting with the opposite sex. In Heather's eyes, Kate was the proverbial college girl gone wild, while Heather was the responsible, girl-next-door type.
Kate was looking forward to enjoying the freedom that came with her escape from the bounds of her hometown and her parents. She wanted to try out everything in the way of social life that college offered. She had developed a persona that projected the image of a smart, energetic, fun-loving woman who was a little edgy and could be a dirty girl when she wanted.
