If there's enough interest, I may write a follow up to this... let me know if you'd want that!
It had been years since I had seen her. But when I did, I instantly recognized her... and I couldn't help myself.
My wife and I headed to Target Saturday morning to get a few things. But as most shopping trips there go, she had gotten distracted and ventured off among the racks of clothing and displays. I quickly lost sight of her, and figured she would eventually reappear and find me when she was ready.
But that would be a while, and with nothing specific to shop for myself, I wandered towards the electronics section at the back of the store. I knew I could kill some time playing video game demos, and checking out the "in-store talent".
Saturday afternoons at Target are pretty ideal people watching, especially when it's warm out. Young moms and college girls in yoga pants, cut offs with tank tops, and sundresses all make for wonderful distractions.
I was just hitting the electronics section, when I heard a familiar woman's voice. I couldn't quite place it, but knew I recognized it. I tracked the voice to a rack of clothing not far from where I was. I slowly walked past a nearby endcap, pretending to take an interest in the phone cases on display.
From my vantage point, I could observe two women chatting over the rack of clothing. The woman with her back to me had long wavy blonde hair that fell in locks over her bare shoulders. She wore an army green tank top and black leggings that wrapped around her ass so perfectly, they looked like they had been sprayed on.
"Um, stare much?"
The stranger's friend caught me, red handed. My eyes darted up, just as the blonde turned to see what her friend was referring to. I quickly realized why the voice had been so familiar. It was my ex-girlfriend Randi. The one I had fucked in the mall years earlier.
"Derrick!?" She said sounding both surprised and happy.
"You know this guy?" her friend shot back, an eyebrow raised in disbelief. "He was basically eye-fucking you."
I cringed. That was loud... too loud. I glanced around, making sure my wife wasn't lurking around any of the nearby racks.
"Know him?" Randi turned back to her friend and laughed. "Jackie, this is Derrick!" She dropped her voice down to a whisper. "You know, the one I told you about? At the mall?"
The thought of Randi gossiping to her friend about us fucking set off sparks in my mind.
"Uh... hey Randi!" I managed. I stepped forward towards them, but stayed far enough that we couldn't even shake hands. "Sorry, I was, looking for something and I, uh..." I was doing a terrible job at explaining myself. I tried again, "I was looking for someone. And I heard your voice, and, uh..."
"It's so good to see you!" Randi cut me off, closing the gap between us with open arms.
A hug couldn't hurt, I thought to myself. A hug can be platonic... like a buddy!
Except it wasn't.
It was a hug that made me forget where I was. Forget who I had come with. My head was swimming as I buried my face in her hair. Her breasts seemed bigger, crushed against my torso. She pressed her hips forward, as we held on to each other for longer than we should have. She smelled like vanilla and coconut.
"I missed you," she said soft enough for just me to hear. Her breath warm on my ear. I ran my fingers over the skin of her bare shoulder.
"Me too," I whispered back as we held on. I closed my eyes again.
"Um... hello? I'm still here!" Jackie interrupted.
My eyes shot opened. I let go. My hands fell. Intentionally or unintentionally I'm not sure, but I ran my hand down her back, and grazed her ass. She turned back to her friend, but stayed standing just in front and to the side of me.
"Jackie!" Randi shot back. "I'm just catching up with an old friend!"
She slowly slid back, my right hand hanging by my side was now perfectly aligned with her ass. She kept sliding back until there was contact. She hip checked me, "Right? We're old friends... aren't we?" Her hip now concealing any movement from my arm, as my hand moved up gently resting and patting her ass.
"Yeah, of course we are!" I tried to sound casual. "It's really good to see you, Randi! What are you doing out here?"
"Oh, yeah... we moved!" She responded, and looked down sheepishly. "I mean Rich and I moved." My hand dropped back down.
"Oh," I said surprised. "well... congratulations on the move!" I tried to sound genuine. I disliked Rich, and hadn't felt bad about fucking his wife behind his back a few years ago. But I was also single at the time. Since then, I had gotten married too -- and suddenly being on the other side of that felt different. I still didnt like him, but I had more to lose now.
"You're married, now, right?" Randi looked at me with those beautiful blue eyes and smiled. "I keep up on Facebook."
"Yes," not sure why I felt guilty about admitting that, and suddenly coming back to the realization that I wasn't here alone. "Uh... in fact," I looked around, intently looking to make sure my wife was no where near us. "She's around here somewhere."
