The Antiquities Librarian -- Pt. 2
It had been a long week, and I was looking forward to being done and heading out for a drink with my Swingles group. Then, there was a tap-tap-tap at my door. I looked up to find Jim standing there with a smile on his face.
"Hey Dr. Johnson, I was wondering if I might come in and visit for a while," he asked.
"Jim, I'm afraid it is only about 10 minutes until this floor of the library closes. Then the security guard comes through and makes sure all the doors are locked. Your timing could not have been worse if you wanted to, you know, "visit me" in my office" she said with a sad face.
"But I tell you what. Why don't you join me and my group of friends down at Jake's Bar and Grill for a beer and a burger. I'll introduce you around. They are a fun group," she offered. "Meet us there about 6. You know where it is, right?" Jim smiled and shook his head yes.

Reggie got to Jake's a little before 6. She wanted to make sure her friends knew a new guy would be visiting the group and that he did not yet have a full understanding of what the Swingles were all about.
Right at 6 Jim walked through the door. Reggie flagged him down and offered him a seat beside her.
"Glad you could make it," she said. She introduced him around as a college student whom she had met several weeks earlier at the library.
Reggie then went on to explain to Jim exactly what the group was all about. "We are a group of friends that share common interests. We call ourselves Swingles. We meet here every Friday night for a beer and a burger before we decide what, or should I say who, we want to do after we leave. You see we are all bisexual, so sometimes I leave with one of the guys and other times with one of the women. Sometimes we leave in a group of 3 or 4 depending on what activities we have planned out," she explained.
With that explanation, Reggie proclaimed, "I am laying claim to Jim this evening. So for this week he is mine." Several of the other attendees spoke a muffled "Darn."
