NOTE: The Coeds is a series of short stories (some longer than others) about the sexual exploits of six freshman girls at a fictional college. The stories are organized by character, and, occasionally, the same story is told from multiple perspectives (see separate Overview of Characters). Although it draws inspiration from real-life events (and some of the stories are not too far off), the names and locations have been changed to protect the horny, and it's meant to be a sensationalized parody of college life.
All characters are over the age of 18 at all times described herein.
Chelsea's Lesson:
I was raised very conservatively, and I was always taught that sex before marriage was a sin. The town I grew up outside of Louisville was very conservative as well. So while I knew others my age that had sex before marriage, I wasn't one of them—and it certainly wasn't the norm.
But college in New Orleans was completely different. I met kids from all over the country and I soon learned that my world view when it came to sex was very much in the minority. Everybody was having casual, premarital sex. What's more, no one was ashamed or hid their sexuality; they flaunted it.
One of the best examples I can think of was a night I will never forget. In fact, it was perhaps the event that changed everything for me...
It was early on in the school year and I had come back to the dorms after studying at the library most of the night. Even though it was late, I decided to take a shower before I went to bed (I generally preferred to shower late at night or early in the morning anyway, because the boys bathroom was next to the girls and I always felt uncomfortable when I ran into people in our respective towels/robes).
Anyway, I grabbed my shower caddy and wrapped my body in a towel. I put my robe on over that for extra coverage in case I ran into anyone in the halls. It was after midnight on a Tuesday, so I didn't figure that I would see anyone, but I always covered up to be safe.
