This story was suggested and requested by Jill. Thank you Jill! This tale was a lot of fun to put together. The characters are colorful and the story line appealed to me.
Basically, it works this way: a 22 year old girl meets a new guy. She drops her current boyfriend to be with this new guy. Her ex-boyfriend has some problems adjusting to his changed circumstances while his ex-girlfriend and her new lover spend most of their time in bed. I think the story has a sexy, beautiful and positive ending for all the main characters.

PART ONE - THE PERSISTENT GUY AND WHAT'S HIS NAME
It was a grey murky day. It was a cold and wet weekday lunch rush. The cafe was filled with the sound of scraping chairs, the shuffling of muddy shoes on the hard floor, and the sniffling and harsh coughs of customers. The room echoed with the soft murmur of conversations and the scratch and tap of cutlery against crockery. Some people were pointing at greasy plastic covered menus and ordering hot food and drinks. Other people were racing about with full trays. And still more people were devouring what was in front of them.
A short, petite waitress named, Danni with fine shoulder length dark hair and brilliant sea colored eyes stood there at the edge of their table. She was an attractive female with sweet curves and light skin. Her hair was tied back into a short and neat ponytail.
Danni was all at odds with herself. She was considering a question from one of the best looking and most persistent guys she had ever met. The waiting staff meanwhile bustled and rushed about her. The impatient cafΓ© manager watched Danni out of the corner of his eye, before shaking his head and accepting a payment from the next outgoing customer. New diners shook and closed their dripping umbrellas as they filed in through the front door and waited to be seated. People were coming and going. It was pouring outside.
"Excuse me, I'm sorry, what did you just say," Danni asked, blinking, standing there at the edge of his table, her hands full of the dirty dishes and empty coffee cups she was clearing away.
"I want to take you out," the persistent guy said while his friend shoved fries in his mouth and grinned as he ate. "Stop being all coy and just give me your phone number - c'mon baby, c'mon, don't be all coy with me."
Danni stood there awkwardly. Her face was flushed. She looked all flustered. She looked confused. She dropped one of the empty coffee cups onto the table.
"Careful there, babe," the persistent guy said, picking up the cup and leaving it on the stack of plates Danni was holding, "Don't lose the plot, just give me your number and everything will be a-okay - understood?"
"I'm not being coy," Danni finally said in an annoyed, whiny tone of voice, managing to get control of the dirty crockery again, "and I don't like being told what to do, understand!"
"Yeah, yeah, you're being coy," the persistent guy said, "c'mon beautiful, just give me your phone number and we can go out sometime."
Danni was about to comment, but she was interrupted.
"Miss, miss," an impatient woman called out to Danni from an adjacent table, "how long will our meals be? It's been nearly half an hour and we're really hungry over here."
Danni turned away from the persistent guy who wanted her phone number. She looked at the impatient woman. Danni was momentarily struck dumb and didn't comprehend the impatient woman's complaint. The impatient woman was talking to her, but Danni didn't process her words. Danni's mind was filled with the persistent guy.
Danni turned back to the table where the persistent guy sat with his friend. Danni quickly dropped the dirty plates and grubby coffee cups onto her tray. The cups threatened to topple. Danni misjudged. A saucer slipped off the crockery stack. It fell. It struck the floor and shattered into pieces. Danni gasped. Diners turned their heads. Everyone froze. Silence reined in the cafΓ© for a moment. The rain sizzled on the pavement outside. A second later the avalanche of noise returned.
"Oh shit," Danni hissed, instantly reaching down and picking up pieces, while another waitress named Renee raced in with a dustpan and brush in her hands.
"She just ignored me, did you see that, she just ignored me," the impatient woman stated, raising her voice, from the adjacent table, "miss, miss, excuse me, I want to speak with your manager right now, please!"
"I'm so sorry," Renee said to the impatient woman as she got down on her hands and knees and began sweeping the pieces of saucer into the dustpan, "we're just so flat out today and we're so understaffed. Your meals won't be long. I'll check on them with the kitchen when I finish cleaning up here."
Danni scratched her head. She turned and looked at the impatient woman. She smiled apologetically. The impatient woman glared at her. Danni turned back to the table where the persistent guy sat waiting for her phone number. Renee meanwhile had swept up all the pieces of crockery. She winked at Danni. She grinned at the persistent guy. She then turned and vanished. Danni was left standing there at the edge of his table.
"Look, don't worry about it, baby, don't worry about that right now," the persistent guy softly said, "that other chick has cleaned it all up. You're too stressed out, baby, you need to chill and really focus on this thing. Please, please, please, cutey, can you give me your phone number so I can pay the damned bill and get out of here?"
Danni gazed at the persistent guy. He was a few years older than she was. He looked like he was 25 or 26 years old. He was very tall. He was well tanned. He had short dark hair and dark eyes. He looked so strong. Danni assumed he spent a lot of time at the gym, hitting the weights, because his jacket was open and she could see his white t-shirt underneath. The t-shirt was tight and thin. Danni could see the shape of his chest muscles and his abdominals through the material. She also noted his thick powerful limbs. She had trouble dragging her stubborn eyes away from his upper body.
"Do you like what you see, baby," the persistent guy whispered, smiling up at Danni, reaching out and placing his hand on hers. "Do you wanna see some more?"
Danni jumped. She gasped. She tore her hand free. She was about to say something, but the persistent guy suddenly took his jacket off, temporarily silencing a now wide-eyed Danni. His arms were as large and as muscular as she suspected they were. His shoulders and upper back were bulging.
"Oh shit," Danni softly exclaimed, while the crockery tower on her tray threatened to tumble again.
"Nice, hey," the persistent guy whispered, flexing his muscles for Danni as she touched her top lip with her tongue, "now how about that phone number?"
"I'm sorry, I can't really stand around and talk," Danni finally said, shaking her head, coming to her senses, while a smile played on her pretty flushed facial features, "we're so busy today and we're just so understaffed."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah," the persistent guy muttered, "the other chick just said that to the annoying bitch over there before she ran off. I know you're busy and all that shit, but what about the phone number, when are you going to give me your phone number so we can go out, baby?"
Danni grinned and played with her ponytail. She was about to say something, but the impatient woman began calling out to her again. Then a complaint came in from another table in Danni's section. Danni abruptly picked up her tray and whirled about. The coffee cups rolled and threatened to fall off the stack of plates they were sitting on.
