The house was filled with people, all enjoying the annual neighborhood Christmas party. There was music, drink and socializing but I was focused on one particular guest. I couldn't take my eyes off of him. He was handsome with dark hair, soulful brown eyes and a smile that made even the customary Christmas lighting seem dull by comparison. It was those magnificent dimples... yes, those delicious dimples that made his smile that much more radiant.
The noise and jostling of the crowd was like a buzz, blending into the background while I watched him. I'd heard about him... the respectable suburban dad, an upstanding professional and community volunteer, but I suspected there was something darker lurking just below that well polished veneer.
I watched him as I casually sipped my drink and noticed how he flirted mildly with the women. It was subtle, non-invasive and the women seem to be enjoying themselves but there was just something about this man, this perfect specimen of maleness, which made me want to take that well polished appearance and strip it down to that darker side... the dangerous side.
I watched him move confidently though the crowd, never lingering for long and spreading his casual flirtations throughout. He seemed to be testing the waters when suddenly our eyes met, soulful brown to storm grey, and like a cosmic event... sparks flew.
I could see his reaction and knew that no matter what else might happen this night, I would bear witness to his roguish behavior. I watched as he moved cat-like through the throng of people toward me and a sense of urgency grew in my very core. We'd not exchanged words, but his eyes told me a story that my body reacted to in a physical way.
I tore my eyes away from his, scanning the room for any dark recess, alcove, broom closet... anywhere that might lend even the slightest sense of privacy and as he closed the distance my heartbeat quickened and breath caught in my throat. I'd never had this sort of reaction to a man in a very... very... long time.
He stopped just inches from me and I felt a shiver swim my spine and settle explosively between my thighs... god, how I wanted this man. I could feel his eyes on me and before either of us could form any comprehensible words, I took his hand and lead him to the only place I could think of that might... just might... be private enough. He seemed surprised by my actions, obviously not used to a woman taking control, but I didn't care. He was my sole focus, my main event and by god I wouldn't be denied.
We snaked back through the crowd to a door in the foyer. Admittedly it wasn't my best choice but with such limited options and an urgency that seems to burn like the North Star, I didn't care. I opened the door and we were met with a closet full of guest coats. I stepped through the door, tugging him with me and thankfully we discovered it wasn't a small closet as we pushed the coats aside and moved further toward the back.
