Sun streamed in through the Windows of the busy house Alex was getting his daughter ready for school

"Come on sweetie we got to hurry you don't want to be late otherwise you'll miss the sing-along."

"Okay Daddy she then proceeded to try and stick her head in an armhole."

Alex chuckled softly before gently adjusting the shirt and helping her put it on.

"There we go," Alex said smiling down at his chubby cheeked daughter.

"Sowwy I go excited."

"That's okay just got to focus a little more one thing at a time remember?"

Alex helped her finish getting ready and brought her to the kitchen.

Alex made her some toast and eggs and gave her a granola bar.

"Good morning sweetie, Brenda said walking into the room."

"Good morning Brenda," despite the greeting my tone is cold.

"Good morning dear" she says smiling at me but it doesn't reach her eyes. I can't stay long I have an early day at the office.

"Okay" I said as I cleared Cindy's dishes.

As I finish getting Cindy ready I heard a car pull up and a horn honk. That's Jared Brenda said hanging out the door without even saying goodbye to me or Cindy.

"Mommy sure does go to work early."

"Mommy has to go to work early so she can start working sooner and get her difficult work done."

_Right, screwing her coworkers is hard work._

''Daddy don't you have to start work soon too after you drop me off?''

"Yep, so I better get you to school.''

Alex drove Cindy to school and returned home to start his own work on his computer. After covid he was permitted to start working at home from his laptop and once it ended he decided to stay home since he enjoyed being able to spend time with his daughter.

She was the only reason he stayed after all. One afternoon Alex got a call from the office about an emergency meeting.

"Sorry hun" Alex said softly kissing his wife enjoying the warmth of her body from the casual contact. "I'll be back after this meeting."

"Don't worry sweetie" Brenda said gently laying her hand on his cheek. I'll be waiting for you."

Alex tried to finish up as quickly as possible wanted to get back to his wife unfortunately when he opened the door to their home.

He saw a dark-skinned gentleman he would come to know if Jared fucked his wife from behind bent over the kitchen table.

"Ugn! Oh honey I didn't know you'd be home so soon! This is Jared a friend of mine from work."

Alex's eyes stung where's Cindy's laugh echoed from her room answering his question. He rushed to go check on her and escape the kitchen.

The pain of him cheating on her hurt but he never asked for an explanation. There wasn't one he would accept. He slept on the couch that night, eventually he cleared out one of the spare rooms in the house creating a space for himself and installing a lock. After that day, he poured all of his attention into taking care of the house and Cindy today was no different.

"Okay Alex worked for a couple hours, then he took a break vacuuming, sleeping and then fixing himself something to eat. When he was almost done with his sandwich there was a knock at the door.

'Coming' open the door to find their next door neighbor Sasha standing there. She was standing there in a v-neck t-shirt wearing capri pants.

"Good afternoon Sasha, is everything okay?"

"Yes everything's fine, I was actually coming over here to ask you if you were busy this weekend?"

''No I'm not' a pit growing in my stomach but I tried not to let it show in my voice.

"Okay, then would you like to hang out at my place tomorrow?"

"Uh" Alex paused conflicted on the one hand he was married on the other hand she wasn't asking for anything that would be considered cheating cause she was doing was asking what did he want to hang out, by her pool in a possibly revealing swimsuit.

It's just hang out by the pool nothing more...

The rest of the day went by quickly and Alex admittedly had a spring in his step. He told himself that he would be good nothing would happen while he was hanging out with Sasha but he would be lying if he claimed the potential to have a little fun of his own wasn't enticing.

Brenda got home late as usual he looked away from the movie toward the front door as she came in.

Evening Brenda, Alex said glancing at her her shirt was unbuttoned and her steps weren't steady.

"Hi sweetie, where's my little pumpkin?" He words slurred

"In her room asleep." I said turning back to the movie.

"Okay see you in the morning" Brenda stumbled her way upstairs.

Alex shook his head and went to the sink to get himself a glass of water he looked at in the night sky through his kitchen window he almost turned away but then he saw the light across the way turn on.

Sasha passed by the window her skin was shinning he assumed from a shower a white towel wrapped around her waist.

Alex walked by the window again this time she was holding a stack of clothes she set them down and turned toward the window locking eyes with Alex.

Sasha smirked undoing her but held it infront of herself with one arm she mothed

_see you tomorrow Alex before winking and lowering the window shade.

Alex did the same and fell asleep on the couch with a smile on his face and a boner in his pants.
