Nikkevolution Pt 01

In the world of Nikke, the robot army known as Raptures attacked, and the earth's surface turned into a permanent warzone. Humanity's last hope was to construct an underground base by the name of "Arc". It was about the size and structure of a large metropolitan city and sheltered any remaining survivors.

To fight back against the robotic menaces, researchers developed the Nikke. Mechanically enhanced women designed to go engage in combat. On the outside, they look the same as they did before their transformation, except for some lewd additions, such as bigger boobs, or a curvier and firmer ass.

One such Nikke was Rapi. She was the strongest member of her squad, and always ready to follow her commander's orders. Besides her abilities in combat, she doesn't have any exceptional features. At a first glance, one would notice her red eyes, dark-blonde hair, and a relatively average height of 5'5".

Even if her stoic exterior rarely shows it, she prides herself on her ambitions. After all, she has dedicated her life to help humanity, and with every victory against the Raptures, her contribution to humankind gains relevance.

With that in mind, Rapi was chosen to be part of an experiment. The research promised to restructure a Nikke's core based on the most recent breakthroughs in bio-engineering. By doing this, they would be able to break the limits of what Nikkes are currently capable of.

"We've taken on evolution itself as our project. We call it: NikkEvolution." The scientists had announced. "Our goal was to give Nikkes the ability to always adapt based on the situation at hand. Both physically and mentally, Nikkes are limited by their initial design.

So, what if we could align them more with their human heritage? By injecting a Nikke's efficient framework with an innovative cell structure, they'll be able to overcome any obstacle. The cells are in a state of accelerated evolution, meaning that they'll learn, change, and improve. What nature used to take hundreds of thousands of years for, can now be possible within months, maybe even weeks!"

It was clear that they had a vision, but it wasn't so obvious in what shape this accelerated evolution would manifest when put to practical use. One thing they specified in their documents is the capability of the Nikke affected by it. Past experiments on mass-produced Nikkes have shown that the true potential of NikkEvolution is relative to the power of the Nikke affected by it.

Regardless, the government wasn't a stranger to experiments that can end up harmful or lethal for their soldiers, which is why they went ahead and ordered Rapi to be the first test subject. Defeating the Raptures was crucial, and warranted such risks at the prospect of saving the planet.

*1 Week Later*

Rapi found herself lying in the bed of the commander's room. This outpost was one of the few safe places on the surface. This was the first time she regained consciousness since the operation. A glance at the white-curtained window tells Rapi that it's the middle of the day, but no one else was around.

She felt like a truck just hit her, and then went in reverse just for good measure. Despite her sharp mind, this life-changing operation had her feeling quite tired and disoriented.

As Rapi lay there, feeling exhausted, but not in the right state to fall back to sleep, a pushy sense of boredom overcame her. It was the kind of tedium one would only get from looking at a blank wall for hours on end. Fortunately for her, the scientists gave her something to put her mind at ease:

Advisory note

The subject won't be fully functional for at least 2 weeks. During this period, the Nikke essentially undergoes complete rewiring. This is necessary, as the Bio-Adaptive-Receptors (in short: B.A.R.s) need to recultivate every bit and part of the body before being able to make future improvements.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to maintain a sufficient amount of nutrients to ensure effective treatment. Increased hormone levels and other puberty-like symptoms are expected, and part of the procedure.

"That's... interesting." Rapi's eyes struggle to stay focused, but she got a general idea of her current situation.

In fact, with this, her body has already taken its first evolutionary step. During the operation, B.A.R.s were only nestled within a section of her brain. From there on, it would be too dangerous to give the cells any further specific directions that may or may not be suitable.

To avoid such complications, the B.A.R.s are hyper-receptive to any information Rapi now subjectively interprets. For the same reasons, every Nikke that goes through this procedure must be wiped of any protocols or boundaries assigned by the military they used to adhere to.

As Rapi read through those purposefully prepared words, each sentence and word was interpreted by her newly acquired evolutionary traits. In other words, this was part of the B.A.R.s' initiation and builds the foundation of tasks they are meant to follow.

- Rapi needs to be fully transformed. What used to define a Nikke doesn't apply to her anymore. New adaptations need to ensure that she still fulfills the duties of a Nikke.

- The process will take advantage of her hormones, allowing the B.A.R.s to newly shape her body.

- To preserve itself, it's of vital importance that Rapi stays well fed. The instinct for survival is a key evolutionary trait, which the B.A.R.s will highly prioritize.

- In the most primitive sense, survival means three things: Food, Sex, Strength.

With that said, the B.A.R.s have yet to develop to a point that these principles can significantly affect Rapi's appearance or behavior. Taking stock of the situation, the B.A.R.s start by targeting her hunger receptors to trigger increased stimulation.

A loud grumble takes Rapi out of her current delirious state. She has never felt this hungry before. With a groan and labored steps, she makes her way to the crew quarter's kitchen.

"No one else is here either. Must be a long mission they are on." Rapi reasons to herself.

In truth, she's already entered a one-track state of mind. Since the week-long sleep left her starved for anything to eat or drink, she was already in a dangerous condition. Getting her stomach stuffed was her one and only goal, and any distractions would be selectively ignored in favor of that goal.

The clanging cupboards, utensils, and other noises she made barely registered. For someone as disciplined as Rapi, this was already a major break of character. By the end of it all, she almost ate through an entire day's worth of food. If it weren't for her reserved nature, she probably would have also licked all the plates and her fingers clean.

On her way back to her bed, Rapi regained some much-needed clarity. Her memories of the past hour felt foreign and distant by comparison. She decided to lay her eyes on a mirror and check on her progress. What she saw frightened her.

She looked almost just like the way she did before becoming a Nikke. Her previously imposing legs and rear were once again reduced to more humane sizes.

Whereas a Nikke was built to handle heavy weaponry and the many ordeals of combat, her reflection displayed the opposite: A pudgy stomach, alongside a frail stature and thin build. She felt inadequate. As if a long-forgotten insecurity just resurfaced.

Did the government force her to be like this? They promised innovation and improvements but never spoke a word of any side effects. Rapi couldn't help but feel a tinge of anger mixed in with her fears. As her hormones are directly connected to her transformation, it was getting difficult to keep all these emotions under control.

The B.A.R.s on the other hand were already more than aware of this setback. Instead of succumbing to Rapi's fears, the B.A.R.s used this as an opportunity: A scared mind seeks either avoidance or confrontation. Whenever Rapi would try to suppress these thoughts, the B.A.R.s invite her subconscious to relinquish those parts of her mind to their own control.

This was the ideal way for her evolutionary traits to improve her chance of survival. Slowly, parts of her old self were being replaced by a more primitive mind. One that doesn't care about a negative self-image, or the possibility of betrayal, but instead thinks of three things: Food. Sex. Strength.

Though it seems forceful, it's ultimately in Rapi's current best interest to find comfort and find something that she can put her trust in. All of this was processed within the deeper layers of Rapi's mind. She wasn't actively aware of what the B.A.R.s were doing or if they had any effect on her at all so far.

In an attempt to distract herself, Rapi returned to bed and rummaged through some of the magazines that were left for her entertainment. The one that stood out to her was called "How to Win Over Your Commander: Every Nikke's Path to Success!"

The B.A.R.s were again pushing Rapi so they could learn more about her environment. Adapting can only become more potent when there are things to measure up to. They needed more specific goals.

"Hmm... Why can't I look like this..." Before even reading a word, Rapi got distracted by the Nikke that was decorating the magazine's cover. It was in her nature to be ambitious and competitive. But without the confidence to back that up, her wish to improve turned into more of a jealous remark.

The B.A.R.s latched on to that. A gurgle in Rapi's stomach signaled that her evolution would enter its next stage. Neural pathways are set to be created, to access and reinforce more and more parts of Rapi's brain. Her old self is still mainly in control of her actions and logical understanding. But the part of her that weighs in on her emotional reasoning is continuously exposed to a heavier influence.

While all of this inner unrest was ongoing, Rapi was calm as ever on the outside. She leisurely flipped through some of the pages, until she hit the advertised topic.

"Be the best at what you do"

"Have a body worth calling Nikke"

"Be kind to those in need"

"Commander... needs you..."

"Protect... humanity..."

It was a lot to take in all at once, but especially the one about protecting humanity and becoming the best resonated with Rapi. This went on until the evening, those lines getting subconsciously repeated over and over, reinforcing her conviction.

But a strong mind alone wouldn't do. Using what nutrients were left, the B.A.R.s began populating other parts of Rapi's body.

The world was still a dangerous place. When it's all about survival of the fittest, she must be at the top of the food chain. Most efforts went into her overall size and muscle structure. Rapi was more than familiar with the incredible feats of strength Nikkes were capable of. To surpass that, she would need lots of brute strength.

Then comes food. She had to become self-sufficient as quickly as possible. In primitive terms that meant bigger breasts and a curvier ass. Larger tits mean more milk. Sexier body means more potential mates.

As the night came to an end, all those changes already began to manifest. It wasn't directly apparent to Rapi herself, but she now stood 2 Inches taller. Besides that, her breasts entered E-Cup territory, putting a slight strain on her clothes.

Her arms and legs also looked visibly thicker. Although it wasn't possible to tell the full extent of their growth without putting her newly gained strength actively to use. Thanks to all these improvements, her stomach returned to being shapely and smooth.
