Author's note: In this alternate timeline, not much is different from the current world with one notable exception. A subset of males have evolved the ability to conceive and bear children (known as "fertility-capable men" in polite company, "breeders" in more common usage). A womb grows and connects to the rectum, leading to fertile periods not unlike those experienced by females.

Andy Johnson was the son, grandson, and great-grandson of a breeder, so he was expected to inherit the same status. But the hormone test he was given upon entering puberty showed no signs of developing fertility. He wasn't the first male to lose this semi-hereditary trait. Andy was slightly disappointed given the family legacy, but it meant less to think about for him and he had enough urges/hormones to deal with.
Andy's adolescence passed in the usual way: girlfriends, a few same-sex encounters, acne, and awkwardness. By college, however, Andy seemed to have turn the tide and became a head-turning young man. He was 5'9" tall with sandy blonde hair that formed lazy curls, which sometimes fell down over his blue eyes when wet. His body was toned from years of running track-and-field, but Andy's ass strained against his running shorts from regular squat work encouraged by a former girlfriend.
First semester of college was a blur of socializing, classes, and continuing to run track. During the second semester, he and three friends made arrangements to share a house starting that summer. Around the same time, Andy noticed he was feeling flushed and feverish every few weeks. The symptoms started out minor enough he was able to wave them away, but they got more and more intense, and coincided with strong sexual urges that made him jerk his 7" cock up to six times a day. After a particularly intense spell, Andy made an appointment to see a doctor.
Dr. Shaw gave Andy a thorough examination and said he had a hunch and pricked his finger for a blood test.
"Andy," Dr. Shaw said gently, as two lines appeared on the small plastic device, "it turns out you're a breeder after all."
"But the tests I had when I was younger said I wasn't?" Andy asked, confused.
"Well, just like sometimes the breeding gene leaves a family line, other times it just takes longer to express itself," Dr. Shaw said. "It's rare, but not unheard of it, and not dangerous."
Andy sat in stunned silence. He had grown up expecting to be a breeder, then was told he wasn't and had accepted that, and now it seemed like things had changed again?
"As you know, typically it takes about a year for the breeding cycle to normalize in adolescents," Dr. Shaw added. "But in your case, it's accelerated as the body 'catches up.' Based on your lab results your next breeding period will began to settle your body."
"Well, glad to hear these weird symptoms will get less intrusive," Andy remarked, still processing.
"Yes, but there's something to be aware of," Dr. Shaw sat down for this and his professional tone softened. "You're going to be incredibly fertile for the next few months. That's part of the 'catching up'. And along with this fertility will come strong sexual urges which may cloud your judgement."
"I mean, I'm not 13 any more Dr. Shaw," Andy chuckled.
"True," Dr. Shaw nodded, "but you're not so old for hormones to mess with your mind. And, based on the limited knowledge we have from other cases, you may have extra... attractive powers."
"Attractive powers?"
"Yes, you're familiar with pheromones right?"
"The stuff that like... attracts monkeys in mating season?"
"Exactly! We don't fully understand how they work in humans but we know breeders are capable of releasing pheromones at levels far beyond even what fertile women produce."
"So... I'm going to drive men crazy?" Andy chuckled.
