He let Matt shower first as Jason set up his mini printer. It's been a while since he was thoroughly satisfied like that. The wobbly legs satisfied. He connected his phone and watched as the Printer did the work. He hoped he'll see Matt again soon - he had ideas for more pg versions. And maybe he'll actually get paid for that session.

When Matt came out, a steamy cloud followed, bringing the temperature in the room up a few notches. "I think you're one of my best Grindr hook-ups." He grinned, fully in clothes, much to Jason's disappointment.

"I was thinkin' that same thing." He picked up the pictures, and true to his word, gave it all back and watched as he looked through them.

"You did a good job, there's no blurriness or anything."

"I wanted to add some more lighting, bring out some of your expressions, but that will cost you." He added sheepishly.

"Nah, it's cool." Matt grabbed one and looked at it for a minute before handing it back. "One to remember me by."

"I appreciate the tip." Jason grinned, looking at it. Guy was good at choosing the good ones. Matt was laying on his stomach, arching it. The flash brought out the colors of the tattoos. It wasn't so much sexual, but just a really good fucking picture. He shook hands with Matt. "Don't be a stranger," He winked, getting to the bathroom himself.

Jason ended up crashing at the motel room, too tired to even make the short drive back home. He slept in, way after the time he was supposed to get up for his hike. He stretched his body out, noticing where he was sore. Taking his time moving around, he carefully repacked his camera equipment and cleaned the room. It was nearing noon now and he hated the nagging feeling of failure. He knew where he wanted to go. The mountains were just on the other side, gorgeous but fucking hell, he missed the sunrise.

When he walked out, his car was covered in snow. Maybe he shouldn't go up North today. He put his bag in the trunk and started brushing everything off. It was officially fool's spring. The weather had been changing all week but then remained a steady below forty range. "I should be fine," Jason told himself.

Twenty minutes on the highway and he regretted it. Multiple accidents were reported and everything was backed up. Damn, he really did sacrifice a scenic shoot to get laid.

At least once a month, he'd go out to a completely new area, usually right in the mountains to get shots of all the different colors throughout the seasons. Sometimes the mountains were green, other times they were a deep brown. He'd use the colors as excellent touches in other photos, layering them over the main subject, creating an emotional and powerful scene. There was a time in between April and June where the flower patches would be a nice red. He took shots nearby the running rivers as well, creating blurry effects, sometimes adding in different flowers or plants to keep things interesting. He was supposed to go to another new area with new hiking paths he's never seen. Hoping to get scenes of the sunlight blazing the grass. He inched his car along.

He should just take the loss today and call it. At least he had one photo he could put up on Instagram. He still couldn't turn around. He tapped his fingers on the steering wheel of his shiny, red, Jeep Grand Cherokee. His street photography could use some work. Just a couple snaps of people walking around. That'd be in the downtown area though. Approximately 10 miles from his current marker. Yeah, he'd have to settle for that.

Jason had a client due for a college graduation shoot but that wasn't until tonight around eight. The client wanted Jason to focus on the lights surrounding him and his family, to make it peaceful and magical, not too loud. Jason could work with that, and with their correspondences so far, he could tell the kid was eager to meet him.

It took an additional twenty minutes to get off the fucking highway, but soon he cruised downtown, looking for a park-n-ride. Brusky Downtown made Jason perk up with creativity. The buildings were tall, and looked majestic with the river separating one section and that black pedestrian bridge just pulled everything together. He made at least twenty separate photos from using that bridge alone, and took on some wedding sessions with the bridge. Everyone wanted water in their magical moments in life. Jason preferred the sparks of light photography himself. Surrounded with strings of moving light, wrapped around - okay. He needed to let go of that thought.

As he went through an intersection, a silver car pulled out in front of him from a driveway. With it being icy out, he couldn't stop in time and nudged the car. "Damnit!" He just got the fucking car last year when a magazine selected him for best wedding photographer of the year. There wasn't really room to pull over anywhere besides a small parking lot, not yet full, owned by a boutique store.

Once he pulled into a parking slot, a shitty one, he got out to inspect the damage. His plates were caved in but that was it. The force always made it seem like the amount of damage was more. Jason walked across the lot and deflated when the silver car did indeed have the bigger dent.

When the driver got out, Jason had to remind himself the kid was cute. Dark, curly hair all bunched up and held in a bun, gorgeous tanned skin and what looked like light grey eyes. And fucking tall, Jesus Christ. He towered over Jason. Shaking himself from his thoughts, he pulled up his insurance cards on his phone. The sun shone directly over the pair.

"Ah, no way!"

Jason looked up.

"Don't tell me the hotshot photographer hit little old me!"

Damn, was he really that popular? "You're the one who backed out without looking."

The kid shrugged, "Would you like to test that out, or would you accept dinner?"

Jason blinked. "I'm sorry?"

"A rate increase," the Kid grinned. "Or a simple dinner with me?"

"Is this a bribe?" Jason wouldn't turn down a night with this cutie, who wasn't trying at all to make him blush. "Listen, I don't- I don't do dates. I do nights." He winked.

He let the kid walk over to him, "And I'm sure your insurance cost you too much as it is."

"I take care of myself."

"Prove it."

Jason froze. Holy shit, how did this kid manage to wind him up so quickly? They weren't even ten minutes in! "I'm pretty sure this was your fault." He didn't wanna end this interesting exchange quite yet.

"Then I'll accept, and buy you,' he pointed. "Dinner."

Jason put his phone away. "You cost me a session."

"I'm sure your client will forgive you." He took a step closer to him.

"It wasn't a client. It was just to practice." He'll stand his ground, no matter how close the kid would get to him. He doesn't back down easily.

"Then practice having dinner with me."

"Why do you want it so badly?"

Another step closer. "For bragging rights. To say I grabbed the city's best cameraman and all it took was persistence."

Jason couldn't help but grin. This kid knew how to play to Jason's strengths. Jason knew how talented he was, and so did his fans. It was the first time someone recognized him on the street however. How far would he take it though? "Technically, you're supposed to yield to other cars already going before backing out." He couldn't imagine having someone so close to him again. To experience that kind of heartache watching the person you love slowly die. And then trying to find a whole different city to live in...

He shrugged. "I'm determined to make it up to you."

"Great." Jason got out his phone again.

"Any restaurant you want."

Jason glanced at the car, "I don't know if you can afford what I want."

He smirked. "And I don't know if you can afford me."

Jason arched an eyebrow. "You're really a brat, aren't ya?"

"And you think you're untouchable." He grabbed his arm, and jolted Jason towards him. With his other hand, he fished out a marker, drawing numbers and letters. When he was done, he winked and walked away, getting into the silver car.

Jason looked at his arm. "Zack." His eyes followed the car out of the parking lot. "What the hell just happened?" He almost never had anyone reject a night he offered. He almost never had someone wrap him around their finger quite so fast either. This was dangerous.
