This is my first story on Literotica, and it is a True story, in that the people existed and the general idea of what occurs did happen. To me. I have taken some artistic license with events and changed names for obvious reasons. All characters are over 18 and portrayed as close as my memory allows to the events that actually took place, apart from embellishments here and there. The time frame for this story is in the late 90's, and both characters are in the military.

"The Court will consider your proposal. In the meantime, take rest in our city and recoup from your journey. A runner will be sent when your presence is required," Eli intoned, in the voice he'd come up with for the character.
Wrapping up their tabletop play session, Sean handed out experience points and the players talked about their plans for their characters and what they'd be doing until the next session and munched on the remaining snacks together.
"So what do you think?" Sean whispered to Eli.
Eli scooted closer, "about the game so far? I think they're loving it, look at them conspiring about what they're gonna buy and stuff."
"Yeah, I hope they stay as interested as they are now. Your voice acting was hilarious by the way. I'm glad you didn't feel weird just sitting in and playing some NPCs for me."
"Dude, I had a blast! The profiles we came up with were the perfect starting point. Knowing how they fit into the local culture and political ecosystem was exactly the prod I needed to make them interesting."
"They were, too!" Sean exclaimed, wide eyed. "I loved the way you croaked that street beggar's voice," he imitated, "the guys all seemed to respond to it as well!" He could see Eli starting to blush as he looked away.
"Aw, I'm glad you liked it. I always used to do voices for my siblings back home. I always wondered if I could maybe do it professionally, like for cartoons and stuff. But that seems really hard to break into."
Sean nudged Eli with his shoulder, "you totally could. I'd definitely watch whatever you were in."
"What about the setting and story seeds you planted in that setting?" Eli asked, turning to look at Sean, "I mean, the world feels alive. There's all sorts of story hooks being dragged in front of them, from the criminal syndicates' operations they spotted to the Emperor's entourage rushing past. They don't know the details yet, but it's like we've got an entire world waiting for them to explore. It's wicked cool! Like being in a fully-fledged novel!"
"Well, I mean, I've been working on it a long time, and you helped!" Sean pouted. "I just wanted to make sure that any way they turned, we had a good set of characters and life-like cultures and ecosystems waiting to react to whatever the guys decided to do. And those characters largely came to life because of YOU!"
"Nah, man, all I did was add a voice and a teensy bit of personality to the amazing profiles you wrote." Eli said, "Your character sheets, backgrounds and even the whole backdrop of who these people work for, where they live, what they eat and such, all of it gives depth and flavor. All I did was breathe them out."
"Are you two done fawning over each other, or can we get to shopping and approving our character changes?" said one of the others, speaking up finally. The other three guys were looking at Sean and Eli strangely.
"Oh.. uh, yeah!" stammered Sean. Eli just blushed.
The others gathered around and started playing out the next moves for their characters as Sean mediated, giving them lists of what was available at each shop they visited. Eli sat back and watched with a smile on his face, enjoying everyone else's excitement. Sean looked back at him and grinned, and Eli winked encouragement.

Eli slumped into his desk chair as Sean flopped sideways on the couch. "Dude, I never figured they'd have gone with that option, did you?" Sean moaned.
"Hah, you presented it to them. But, yeah, I think they may have an over-inflated sense of the party's abilities if they're chasing that particular lead," said Eli, pulling up their shared notes on Google Drive.
"I know, right? How am I gonna keep the Big Bad Evil Guy away from them long enough for either them to figure out that 'this way there be dragons' or for them to get strong enough to have a chance at survival?" Sean opined.
"Well, every evil bad guy has minions and lieutenants and layers of Big Bad Evil Deeds happening. Maybe show them one of those operations and have them chase it instead of the big guy directly?" Eli suggested as he turned and flicked on the TV and threw a movie into the DVD player for some background noise and perhaps inspiration.
"I guess. Maybe in following the lead they already saw, they stumble across a drug delivery to a local dealer or distributor?" Sean said, sitting up.
"Ehh... I dunno, it seems like an overused trope, and the whole war-on-drugs thing is tired anyway."
"I guess. What about prostitution?"
"Ha! They'd be more likely to enthusiastically take part!" Eli barked, sitting back down at the computer.
