I tried to recover quickly because he was leaving and I felt I had to follow, but there was the awkward issue of my cum.
The one thing that could give me away was external mess on my skin. Some sweat seemed fine, but I'd been building up that load for a while and it had painted my chest white. I looked around and saw one of the sweaters left behind in the change room. It felt wrong, and I hated to leave a mess for the staff, but desperate times.
I slipped the sweater up to the brick and quickly wiped the mess off my stomach and hands. It was easy to see what still needed to be wiped up since the rest of me was still invisible.
In the distance I saw the blonde at the cash lineup with no one ahead of him. I tossed the sweater aside and licked my fingers clean. I had to follow him.
A minute later, as he picked up his bags and receipt and headed for the hall, I was behind him.
He smelled fresh, with a hint of sweat and salt. It was the smell of someone who had been away from home and came back to have their laundry done by a loving mother who used too much fabric softener. I imagined what his home could be like, what sort of things he would be doing over the break.
Before I knew it I'd followed him into the parking garage. I could see my mom's car in the distance as I continued following the blonde to a blue minivan. Clearly I wasn't the only one borrowing his parent's vehicle. But I knew this was goodbye. Even if I got the license plate, what chance did I have of tracking him down?
He opened the side sliding door and tossed his bag inside. The van was mostly empty, the middle seats folded down to clear space. Lots of room. It was a tempting thought.
Then a miracle happened.
"Hey, Lex!" called a female voice. The blonde turned.
His name was Lex? Like Lex Luthor?
I didn't have time to think about it. The voice had distracted him. Lex turned and took a step away from the van to approach the girl who seemed to be from his old high school class and wanted to ask banal questions about what he'd been doing at college.
The door to the van was still open. There was plenty of room. All I had to do was step inside and I could follow him home to find out where he lived. Maybe I could coordinate a real encounter, when I was visible, and strike up a conversation? I knew he was gay, and I'd like to think that when I'm not invisible I'm a decent-looking guy. I may not be the Helix model he was just jerking off to, but I bet I could satisfy him in a few ways. I'd probably be too nervous to be forward, but maybe I'd get lucky and he'd take the lead.
It was clear Lex wanted to get away from the girl. He was wrapping up their chat as quickly as he could.
There was no time left to make a decision.
I jumped in the van.
I crouched beside his shopping bag, heart pounding, my knees shaking with adrenaline.
"Ok, see you around!" he said, and he slammed the door shut.
A few minutes later we were on the highway and he was listening to Shania Twain. It wasn't exactly my taste, but there was something very cute and endearing about his off-tune sing-a-long.
I had no idea how I was going to get back to mom's car, or my clothes. I'd have to steal something temporarily and maybe get lucky with flagging down a cab. Or if I could steal a phone I could order an uber? Everything about this decision was feeling like a mistake, but I was locked in.
He surprised me by driving back towards where I lived. He even turned down a few of the same streets. When we finally stopped in front of a tall brown brick home with a naked oak tree in the front yard I estimated we were only a ten or fifteen minute walk to my home. If I could steal a proper coat and boots I might be ok to make it.
Lex stopped in the driveway, hit the button, and waited for the garage door to go up. Then he drove inside until the tennis ball on the string tapped the windshield.
I buried myself at the back of the empty seats and waited. Lex finished the song and then turned off the car. He jumped out, still humming, and opened the back door again to grab his shopping. This time there were no distracting girls and he shut the door, leaving me inside. I saw him through the windshield as he opened the door to the house and entered.
I waited. There was no way to do this silently.
I clicked the handle and slid the door ajar enough to step out. The floor of the garage was heated, so I felt incredibly comfortable physically. Emotionally, I was starting to panic. There was no way this was going to turn out ok.
The door to the house could well have been locked, but I lucked out when I tried the handle. As quietly as I could, I opened the door and peeked inside to find a dark hallway. I went in.
There were some sounds of life upstairs, rustling plastic bags and muffled voices. I crept out to a front hall that had an open door leading to some sort of rec room, and carpeted stairs that went up and around a corner.
I crept up the stairs one at a time, delicately testing for creaking floorboards before trusting it with my weight.
At the middle landing I could clearly hear the conversation ahead in the kitchen.
"I only got these two. I don't have that much closet space in the dorm," Lex said.
"They're very nice," said a woman's voice, probably his mother, "But what about the rest of the money I gave you?"
"This was all of it."
"All of it! For two sweaters? How's anyone supposed to afford anything in this day and age?"
"Right? That's what I've been saying!"
Near the top of the stairs I could see Lex standing in the kitchen with his mother as she tidied pots and pans around the counter.
Lex hugged his mother's shoulders and kissed her cheek. "I'm going to my room for a bit," he said, and then he walked past me with the bag of clothes.
This was why I came here, so no chickening out now.
I followed him as close as I could without bumping into him and just slipped inside the door of his bedroom as he turned to close it. I thought I may have felt the brush of his hand, but he didn't seem to notice anything.
