Cutie Pie and Double Trouble
Every year Rose and I get invited to her sister's house for her sister's husband's birthday. Of all the sisters she's the most normal, so I don't have to put up with the same craziness that comes from the other sisters.
This year Rose said we should sleep over, even though it's only a ten minute drive:
"But Rose, why do we have to go to the trouble to pack all this stuff when we can just come home?"
"Oh Charles, it'll be nice. And I want to spend some quality time with Violet. It's been too long since she and I have connected. Since we were kids."
"What are you talking about? We see them all the time."
"Yes, but, well, now I'm going to share something with you that I haven't told you yet. When we lived in my fathers house the other girls all had boyfriends, but Violet and I were left alone a lot. We found comfort together - sexual comfort."
When I heard this I burnt my tongue on my coffee.
She went on.
I'm so glad she has Ted. He's got the insatiability of a bull and no woman can say 'no' once he turns on the charm. So he keeps her pretty busy.
"And now that you went and got yourself cut off you haven't been the only one getting punished. I have needs and until you fulfill your debt I'm gonna re-connect with Violet."
At these words I spit out my next sip all over the table. "We can end this little punishment of yours today. I'll take you in the bedroom right now, then I won't have to serve the other couples again."
I thought about Lily sitting on my face. Facesitting is my favorite activity, but she's so rough, I didn't know how many more times I can take it. Then there was Rod - he was almost as rough, but a cock isn't appealing like a pussy.
"You know, Lily tricked me into having sex with her that first time: I thought it was you."
Rose countered, "I'm not upset that you had sex with them. What was wrong was that you didn't talk to me about it first. Until you pay your debt you can't have sex with me again - and that's not fair to me. And no, we can't just call it off. They wouldn't respect me if I let you off."
"So your solution is to rekindle a secret affair you had with Violet sixteen years ago?"
"Aw, it was never a secret. Everyone knew. And now you do too. Charles, I have needs and this is happening."
"Needs! What about me? I need you and I'm waiting three more weeks. Don't you have any will power?"
"Will power? The only reasons you can wait is because, one, you get relief each time you're with one of the couples, and, two, because you have no choice. Charles, I love you but you're a complete pushover."
"I'm no pushover. I'm just kind and giving."
"It's not a bad thing that you're so generous. It's what I love about you most. But you wouldn't be in this spot if you could tell people 'No'.
I looked at her skeptically, shaking my head. She made an offer, "I'll tell you what. Let's make a deal." I asked what she meant with my eyes.
"Here's the deal, Chuck. Every year we have a birthday dinner with Violet and Ted. Every year Violet asks you and Ted to take down the outside holiday lights. Every year Ted says he has a bad back and he ends up holding the ladder with a beer in his hands while you take down the lights."
"Rose, that's what family does. They help each other out."
"I know. But that's not my point. They're still taking advantage of you. So this year...if you don't end up taking down the lights, then we'll go home afterwards. I'll even call the other couples and tell them your debt is paid.
But if you end up taking the lights down, then we sleepover, I spend the night with Violet, and for the rest of the weekend I loan you out to them to check one more couple off the list. That's the deal!"
I only had to think about it for a second, "You're on!"
We packed our overnight bags, 'just in case'. Violet warned me to bring light clothes as they always kept their house so hot. She giggled while she said it, keeping some secret reserved to herself.
When we got there Violet was cooking and Ted met us at the door wearing a back brace. It didn't matter, I would stay strong.
We had a lovely brunch with nothing said about the lights, until... Violet put her hand on my arm, "Charles, every year you end up taking down our lights. I'm sorry if we've imposed. I want you to know how much we appreciate what you do. It means a lot to know we have family." Here she hugged me tight. In my mind her apology proved they weren't taking advantage of me.
Now, a little about Violet: Violet doesn't have the best ass of the five sisters, Dahlia does. And she doesn't have the prettiest face, Rose does. And she's not the smartest, Calla is. She doesn't even have the most charisma, that would be Lily.
What she does have is the warmest, most endearing personality. She exudes receptivity. It's as if she smells of the embodiment of welcoming sensuality.
When she hugged me a butterfly leaped in my stomach, and my knees weakened imperceptibly.
When her soft cheek touched mine, my heart melted. And when her unique scent, that combination of natural body odors and perfumes, that surrounds every woman touched my soul, I understood how men sacrifice everything for a woman.
I inhaled a final whiff of her shampoo: chamomile and mint? Rose's is lavender.
But she wasnt mine. She had a man whose job was to sacrifice for her. I reminded myself not to be a pushover.
When we disengaged I started to speak. But then noticed thankful and helpless tears in her eyes, "Charlie, do you think, with Ted's back being completely blown out this year, could you help us one last time?"
