Chapter 5: Lady Daphne
When Khauther, Jake and I got to House Achilles, I decided to stay over in Khauther's room. We didn't have sex, we just talked some more and got to know one each other more. When it was time for shut eye, we just slept together in the same bed. He wasn't bothered by it.
The next morning, the sun was trying to break into the room through the small spaces between the blinds. I was lying on my back as I turned to see Khauther asleep, but on his side with his back to me. He only had on his briefs, which was the only thing I had on as well. Gently, I slipped out of bed so I wouldn't disturb him and stretched. When I was done, I grabbed a random pair of shorts that were on the ground and put them on. I figured he wouldn't mind. I left the room and made my way down stairs.
I hadn't heard anyone else in the house so I figured it was just Khauther and I. I made my way to the kitchen and when I entered I found this mysterious woman standing at the kitchen isle. She wore a dark purple dress suit. She was tall, almost my height. She looked to be in great shape as well. Her long red hair hung on her right shoulder. The woman turned to me with a puzzled look on her face and an orange in her right hand.
I cleared my throat and spoke, "Who are you? And how did you get in here?"
She smiled at me and said in her soft voice, "I have a key, because it's my house."
"Your house?" I said in shock.
She peeled an orange slice and put in her mouth in almost a seductive way. Her eyes were glued on me like if she was wondering how she was going to torture me. She was pretty attractive, but I was more confused by what she had said, "her house."
She finished chewing the fruit then swallowed and said, "My husband may let his boy toys stay here, but it's my name on the house."
Husband? I thought to myself. Is she referring to Alkibiades? I didn't know he was married. I had never even seen a ring on him.
I entered the kitchen and stood next to her at the kitchen isle, "Alkibiades is your husband?"
At this range, I could see how big her breasts were. They weren't massive but they were definitely bigger than most girls I had seen. She ate the last slice of orange and walked over to the sink to wash her hands, then she began to talk, "Yes, Alkibiades is my husband. My name is Daphne."
"Is Daphne your real name or a nickname like his?"
The faucet turned off and she shook her hands to get any excess water off. Next she grabbed a paper towel and began to dry her hands off. She leaned against the sink and said, "Daphne is my real name. I know Alkibiades likes to have his nicknames."
"So you don't mind him having these guys arounds?"
She looked me up and down then turned to the window in the kitchen that looked out to the back porch, "Come sit me outside. It's a nice day."
Daphne tossed the paper towel in the trash can and went for the door. I had just remembered that I had no shirt on, but it didn't seem to bother her. So I followed her out to the porch. She sat down at the table and she patted the chair next to her, inviting me to sit with her.
I took her offer and sat down, she then turned to me and said, "Is it okay if I smoke?"
"Yeah, that's fine. It is your house after all."
She opened the flap of her jacket and pulled out a pack of Marlboro Reds, "I know but it's always nice to ask. You want one?"
I shook my head as she pulled out a cigarette and put it in her mouth. She lit it up and took a few puffs before she turned to me once again, "So, you must be Jason right? The new guy?"
"Yeah, the one and only," I said nervously. I wasn't sure why I was nervous. Maybe it was the fact that she was so beautiful and that she was Alkibiades's wife. Also the owner of this house, the last thing I wanted was to disrespect her.
Daphne looked me up and down once more and said, "I see why my husband likes you."
"So you don't mind him having a bunch of attractive guys in the house to have sex with?"
She laughed and said, "Well, at first, when we first got married, I wasn't too keen about his pansexuality. But after the first couple of years, I began to understand him more. I began to understand his needs. So I began to allow him to sleep with men. At first, it was difficult but I came around," she hit the cigarette to drop the excess ash into the ashtray, "he loves me and I love him back. No man will come between us. Our love is undying, it's survived nearly 15 years. Ten of those is our marriage."
"I never noticed a ring on his finger."
"We are married spiritually, but also legally. Obviously," she giggled, "We do not require jewelry to define our love."
"A happy couple. I'm surprised you two do not have any kids yet."
She made a disturbed facial expression as if I just insulted her or something. She readjusted herself and smiled, "We're not there yet," she put out the cigarette and changed the conversation, "So how do you like being here?"
Clearly I had hit a nerve, and she didn't want to talk about it. So I didn't press the topic and answered her question, "Well, I haven't moved in yet but the guys who live here are great."
"You had sex with them yet?" she said with a slight grin.
