Chapter 4 - A Little Guidance
*****
The guys were filtering out of the locker rooms after a training session when Coach Frank asked to see Dan in his office.
'I'll see you guys later,' Dan called to the others as he turned back and headed to the coach's office. He stepped inside and closed the door behind him, shutting out the sound of the hustle and bustle of his teammates as they left.
'Everything ok, coach?' Dan asked, holding his gym bag over one shoulder. He was feeling energised after the training session
'Why don't you have a seat, Dan,' Frank said from his seat behind his desk. He had changed out of his coaching gear and was dressed smartly in a light blue shirt, dark trousers and black shoes. The clothes fitted tightly to his strong muscles. Dan couldn't help but ogle. Coach usually wore loose clothing during the sessions so it was rare to see him so sharply dressed and showing off his attractive figure.
'Sure, what's up?' Dan sat across from the coach, dropping his bag and settling in, wondering what this was about. Had he not performed well during training? Was he off the team? His mind raced at what the conversation could be about.
'So, how is everything going, Dan?' Frank smiled at Dan.
'Uhh ... yeah all good, training is going well,' Dan didn't know if the coach had meant rugby in particular so just jumped on that topic for ease of conversation.
'Good good, and how are you getting on with all the lads?'
Dan didn't know where this was going. Why was Frank asking him about his teammates all of a sudden? He wasn't new to the club so had integrated with his teammates a long time ago - he was part of the team. 'Amm ... the lads are all great, no complaints here,' Dan shrugged, sincere in his answer.
