I fiddled with my wallet as I walked down the street. I knew that I had to show an ID to get into the theater itself, but it made me nervous anyway. Earlier this month, I heard from a friend about an adult theater in town. I was mostly zoned out as they talked about it, but then he mentioned that it was only for gay men. That grabbed my attention.
And here I was, walking toward the theater. I rubbed my arm as I neared the front door. There was a bouncer standing outside. He was a larger man with barrel-like arms. If he wanted to, it seemed like he could lay me out. Luckily, he seemed to be in a good mood as I approached. I wasn't a match for him at all. I only wore shorts, a hoodie, and sneakers.
"You got ID?" the bouncer asked. I nodded, and I showed him my ID. He glanced at it, and he read my age. He looked at me for a moment or so, and he stepped out of the way of the door, letting me step inside.
"Thank you," I said softly before moving by him. I put my hands in my hoodie pockets, and I stepped into the building. The inner part of the cinema reminded me of a normal movie theater. However, there were a few differences.
Walking through the theater itself felt more arousing. It was like my body knew what was going to happen soon. I could already feel the eyes of a few men on me. The concession stand wasn't busy aside from a couple men that were buying drinks. The drinks weren't sodas or ICEEs that you could get at a normal theater. They were buying beer.
I walked up to the concession stand, and I put my hands on the encounter for a moment. The man running the stand glanced at me, and he smiled.
"What can I get you today?" the man asked.
"Just a ticket for a movie. Pick any."
