"The only way to get rid of temptation is to eliminate it rather than trying not to yield to it," said Mustafa Osman, Imam of the Sal Al Din community center of metropolitan Edmonton, province of Alberta. The six-foot-tall, dark-skinned and silver-haired Somali Canadian Muslim man smiled as he addressed his Muslim brothers and Muslim sisters. The men and women in the vast hall sat on the carpet and listened attentively as the preacher spoke to them. The community has been through a lot lately and the Muslim preacher offered them words of comfort.
After the meeting, the Muslim preacher went around greeting members of the local Muslim community. It was Saturday evening and the local Muslims had gathered to discuss important matters. The City of Edmonton is home to many Somalis, Arabs and Pakistanis, and lately, they've felt out of sorts because some white Edmonton residents had been hostile to them. The local police arrested the culprits, but the victims were on edge. Such is life for Muslims living in western Canada.
Mustafa closed the Muslim community center, and then headed to the parking lot. The older Black Muslim man smiled as he saw who was waiting for him. Bilal Jama was there with his wife Mandeq Ali. The Somali Canadian Muslim couple waved at the preacher. Mustafa greeted them warmly. The lovely townhouse, located in the McCauley sector of Edmonton, has been home to Bilal Jama and his family for years. Once they arrived, Bilal and his wife Mandeq made Mustafa feel really welcome...
"Welcome to our humble abode," Mandeq said with a smile. The tall, curvy young Somali Canadian Muslim woman smiled at Mustafa, her latest houseguest. Bilal Jama, Mandeq's husband, nodded at his wife. The two of them had been staunch supporters of Mustafa for a long time. The tall, handsome Somali Canadian Muslim preacher is something of a loner. Lonely men are often fiending for company, but not always of the sort that Mandeq and Mustafa are willing to provide...
"Thank you so much for inviting me," Mustafa said with a humble nod. Bilal and his wife Mandeq exchanged a smile. Finally, they had him all to themselves. Mustafa's wife Bashira died in a car accident three years ago. Mustafa's adult son Kader is studying at College La Cite in Ottawa, Ontario, and his adult daughter Fatima lives in Calgary, Alberta, with her new husband Mahmoud. To say that the older Black man is lonely would be an understatement. Bilal and Mandeq have a thing for sexually flexible Muslim men, and Mustafa is their latest target...
