Jill Cumbest sat back and rubbed her eyes. It was after ten, well past quiting time, but the market research she and her team had been slaving on for weeks was finally done. She had just finished getting it all compiled and presentable. Giving the final chart one last glance, she rolled her tired shoulders. A sigh escaped her lips before she saved the document and shut her computer down.
She was the only one left in the building, except for the single security guard in the lobby, but that was nothing new. The last two weeks had been consumed with the market research for the new lingerie line. Before that it was a location search for a new outlet; before that research on color preferences for their target market. It was all good use of her degree in marketing, but the constant long hours were putting a strain on her team and on her marriage. Tomorrow morning at nine she would present to Lorraine Sapho, the owner of "For Women Only." She really wanted to impress her boss. As Vice President of Marketing, she was the logical choice to replace the already retired Chief Marketing Officer, Sarah Sapho, Lorraine' aunt, but nothing had been said yet. Maybe all of her hard work would pay off. She certainly hoped so.
Lorraine was a good boss. She cared deeply for her people and she worked very hard to grow the business, which was good for everyone. She paid well, gave out compliments, and rewarded good work. But she was also a control freak and a huge micro-manager. Sometimes Jill thought Lorraine was trying to run her life outside of work as completely as she was now controlling the marketing division. Jill had heard stories of Lorraine telling employees how to dress, how to look, even who to date or not date. Fortunately she seemed to approve of Jill's fashion sense and life choices; especially Jill's husband, Martin.
As she waited for her laptop to shut down, she thought about her husband. A smile crept onto her tired face. Martin was the kindest, gentlest man she'd ever met. She often thought of him as her gentle giant. She'd played basketball in college and had been among the taller women on her team, but Martin towered over her. She loved being held in his arms, snuggling into his muscled chest. He was handsome; golden blond hair, fair skinned, crystal blue eyes, so tall, and God those muscles. She needed to get more time with him. Maybe after the presentation tomorrow she could.
Heaving a sign, she tucked her laptop into it's case. With her purse on one shoulder and her laptop on the other, she left her office, waving goodbye to the lone security guard, a stout woman with a perpetually stern face, before riding the elevator down to the parking level. Traffic was light this time of night so forty-five minutes later she pulled into her garage and shut the overhead door before heading into the house.
Their garage led straight to the kitchen, but eleven-thirty was too late for her to want to eat so she tiptoed through the house to their master bedroom. Ten minutes later, teeth brushed and changed into her nightgown, Jill climbed into bed beside her husband. He stirred just enough to pull her close to him and she fell asleep in his arms.
The next morning, Jill woke up early and spent thirty minutes on her elliptical while Martin jogged on his treadmill beside her. After a quick shower she dressed in a smart business suit, a mid thigh black skirt that showed off her long legs with a white blouse that showed a couple of inches of cleavage, grabbed her computer and, after giving her husband a quick kiss on the cheek, she hurried out the door.
Wednesday. Three more days until the weekend. She wasn't going to work this weekend, she vowed. She needed the time to reconnect with Martin. Their intimacy had suffered to the point that they had only made love five times in the last two weeks. She needed more and she knew Martin did too. Just three days and she'd make it up to him; two full days of time to themselves, no distractions. The thought made her smile.
She walked into her office at seven-fifty-five; had her coffee cup filled before eight and was in the conference room with her laptop hooked up to the projector and ready for her presentation by eight-forty. She went over her presentation in her head, and took a deep breath. She was ready.
Lorraine walked into the room at eight-fifty-five and smiled at Jill. Giving her a nod of approval for being ready ahead of time, Lorraine sat at the head of the large oval conference table. She wore a simple, but flattering peach business suit, obviously tailored to fit her perfectly. Her pleated white blouse didn't hide her figure, actually accenting her large breasts and showing a good amount of cleavage. Her mid-thigh pencil skirt was tight enough to show off her well rounded bottom. Her jet black hair was cut in a short bob that curled in just a little at the ends. Her makeup was perfect; red lips, deep blue eye shadow that highlighted her hazel eyes and just enough rouge to color her cheeks.
Jill took a deep breath; Lorraine's heady perfume catching her attention. It wasn't overbearing, but was enough to entice. The perfume stirred something inside of Jill and she felt her heart beat faster. Lorraine often had this effect on Jill, but she'd always attributed it to the control Lorraine had over Jill's life. Even though Lorraine was nearly a foot shorter than Jill, her confidence and general demeanor always cowed Jill a little. Lorraine was beautiful, commanding, smiling.
Suddenly Jill realized she'd been staring and she quickly averted her eyes, forcing herself to look back to her opening slide on the screen. Just then the door opened and Alva Sapho entered. Alva was Lorraine's wife and the companies Chief Financial Officer. Supremely intelligent, and very detailed oriented, Alva kept a tight rein on the company's finances. Alva was followed closely by Nicey Janau, the Vice President of operations, and Lisa Quinn, the Vice President of Human Resources. Jill was a little puzzled by Lisa's presence since marketing wasn't a human resources issue but gave each of them a warm smile.
Alva was a short Hispanic woman with perfect golden brown skin, big gorgeous eyes, and a body that any man would drool over. Her luxurious coal black hair surrounded her head and flowed down her back, almost reaching her incredible ass. Her large round breasts strained against the light fabric of her white button up top with the top three buttons undone and Jill's eyes were drawn to the long cleavage displayed. Looking at Alva was enough to make Jill question her sexual orientation, although, thinking of Martin always renewed her conviction of her hetrosexuality. Still, if she were to ever experiment... Jill let the thought go with a smile.
Nicey's presence wasn't a surprise. She and Jill had worked closely on this project, both teams involved in determining what they could really produce and what it would cost. Those numbers, combined with demand predictions had allowed Jill to build pricing and revenue models. Jill genuinely liked Nicey and her husband Carlton. In fact, Jill and Martin both liked the Janaus. The four of them had dinner frequently and attended parties and other functions together. Everything was always more fun with Nicey around, although Carlton did tend to flirt with Jill some. Martin had never become upset, and truthfully she'd caught Martin flirting with Nicey as well. Just good fun and nothing serious though.
"It looks like we are all here," Lorraine said, "You may begin."
Jill smiled at at the group and then started her presentation. For the next hour Jill went over all of the numbers, demographics, break-even points, and sales projections her and Nicey's teams had worked so hard to compile, all the while Lorraine sat there with a passive look on her face, never once giving away her thoughts. Jill frequently gave Nicey and her team credit for the work they had done along with praise for her own team members. Jill felt it was important to give credit and praise where it was due. As the presentation went on, she could feel a trickle of sweat in the middle of her back, but she somehow managed to keep her smile on her face and enthusiasm in her voice. She believed in this new line and she really wanted to sell it. As she wrapped up the last slide, Lorraine turned to Alva.
"What do you think, love?"
"I think we have found our girls, although there is one last test." Alva hadn't hesitated in her response and her eyes hadn't left Jill.
"Yes, there is one last matter." Lorraine turned back to Jill. "Alva and I are having a little get together this weekend, it will be small. We'd like you and Nicey to bring your spouses. Oh, and plan on spending the weekend." Turning to Lisa, Lorraine continued, "Lisa, you may proceed as planned."
"So, are we going to go forward with the new line?" Jill asked, shaking her head.
"Of course we are. You're presentation was very convincing. Oh, and I need you and Nicey to come by my office Friday at ten. We'll talk about this weekend then. Now, you both need to go spend some quality time with your husbands. But don't wear them all out before this weekend." Lorraine and Alva exited the conference room, leaving Jill standing there with a silly grin on her face.
She couldn't wait to tell Martin how well it had gone. Nicey came up to her and gave her a firm hug.
"Way to go, girl. Any idea of what this weekend is about?"
Nicey was a beautiful woman with dark chocolate skin. Her raven black hair was styled in a cute pixie cut that left her ears exposed and didn't quite cover her collar. She always wore purple lipstick that accented her dark complexion beautifully.
"I really don't," Jill giggled.
"You've heard the stories, right?" Nicey asked conspiratorially.
Jill glanced over at Lisa, who seemed to be engrossed in some paperwork.
"I don't believe everything I hear. Martin and I aren't swingers."
"Have you talked about it before? Carlton and I have. We've never done it, but I know he would jump at a chance with you."
"What are you talking about? He has his Nubian Princess. He loves you too much to cheat." Jill was shocked at Nicey's cavalier assumption.
