It was going to be one of those nights, Lucy could tell. Tristan had finished with his photoshoot at two, and he'd come home early enough for lunch. Bella had finished early too, for the first time in weeks, and the two of them had made dinner together, speaking in hushed, excited tones.
Yes, it was
definitely
going to be one of those nights, when Bella and Tristan locked themselves in the bedroom and fucked for a couple of hours.
Without
her
, of course.
Lucy knew she couldn't be upset. Bella and Tristan weren't deliberately
excluding
her - in fact, they'd tried everything they could to
include
her. It wasn't their fault that - to put it bluntly - her cunt didn't work.
Still, she
was
a little upset. Her inability to have sex was perhaps the only consequence of the accident she hadn't come to terms with. Her ruined senior year was nothing more than a bad memory; not getting into art school didn't matter anymore. Not being able to have sex with the loves of her life
did
.
She couldn't complain, though; at the end of the day, she was
happy
. She had a girlfriend and a boyfriend who loved and supported her, and the three of them lived together in a nice apartment, which they were able to afford by doing work they liked. Lucy couldn't imagine needing more than that.
Besides, nights like this weren't
all
bad. Bella and Tristan always cooked the most delicious food when they had sex planned, and that was something Lucy could
definitely
enjoy.
Just as she was having that thought, there was a knock on her door. "Food's ready!" Bella called out.
Lucy set down her stylus. "Coming!"
~~~~~~~~
Tristan and Bella had made chilli - Lucy's favourite. The three of them ate with a ravenous appetite - the food was excellent, and the wine was just as good. They talked about Tristan's photoshoot, and laughed at a stupid guy from the theatre Bella worked at. Lucy told them about the piece she was working on, though she refused to show it to them.
And just like that, they were finished.
"Welp," Lucy said, grabbing the wheels of her wheelchair, "I'm a little behind schedule on my commissions, so..."
Tristan smiled. "Those can wait," he said. "We have a surprise for you."
Before Lucy could say anything, Bella had scooped her off her wheelchair, in that way that always made Lucy's heart beat like a drum; a little "eep" escaped her lips.
"W-what's the surprise?" she stammered, her cheeks turning rosy red.
