Alexander looked down at his desk, tapping his fingers to it. He was sitting in his office at him, books surrounding him. Cyrus and Greg were sitting in their usually seats at the office. Cyrus on the couch on the side of the room, Greg by the window, looking outside at the beautiful view of New York.
"What's up Alex?" Cyrus asked, tiered of the silence. Actually, he knew damn well what was wrong. That girl that they saw tonight stood up for herself, and Alex didn't like that.
"Where's Mya?" Alex asked, completely off topic. Apparently he didn't want to talk about it. "Shouldn't she beβ"
"I'm here," Mya announced, opening the door with a dramatic look to her face. In her hand she held this month's profits, and obviously she was quite proud of her work.
Alex looked at Mya expectantly. He usually hated when people were late, and sometimes people lost fingers because of that. But with Mya it was different. She was his best friend. The two had known each other since grade school, and had even played hide and seek together. They were both loners, Alex because his father told him not to get closed to anyone in his life, and Mya because her father said friends are stupid distractions. They'd broken down barriers back then, when they stood up to their strict fathers and demanded that they let them be friends. Since that moment, they'd been the closest a man and woman could ever be. They were each other's first everything, from kiss to consultant.
When they broke up when they were in high school, they'd even had taken that coolly. The both knew they weren't right for each other for love, but more for a friendship.
But that didn't exactly mean that she was getting out of this. Oh no, he was going to make sure she felt it, and he knew just how to do it too. "You do know that keeping me waiting takes off a thousand."
Mya's eyes narrowed. She hated when Alex decided to punish her, because she was supposed to be 'like everyone else'. Fuck that. She wasn't everyone else. She was Mya fucking Lee, and he wasn't going to forget that shit. "Hmm I wonder who wants to see his numbers...you know, before I 'accidently' burn them." Mya held back a smile while she watched Alex tense. But when she looked in his eyes it was obvious he wasn't in a playful mood this evening. His gray eyes seemed lost tonight, and Mya wondered why.
Alex looked at Mya, or more past her, and thought about how fucking reckless Mya was. Mya was a pretty girl. She had long brown hair, pale, and brown eyes. She was Asian, but she was far from the stereotypes of Asian's. She was quick to get hot, she was attracted to females, she was beyond competitive, and she was more street smart then book, aside from numbers. She was a genius when it came to accounting, and she was scary about it. It was like she was obsessed. But even though she has all those great qualities, that fucking attitude, that kind of shit could get her killed.
Now that he thought about it, she and that other girl from tonight were really alike, with a 'You WILL respect me' attitude. Not that he didn't admire that. Because that's what he demanded, but no matter what, he'd win. It was automatically programmed in him to win. That's why Mya was going to find out who that little bitch from tonight was, and bring her to him. As soon as fucking possible.

"Shiiiitteee!" Nikki screeched, gripping her aching toes. "Fucking assHOLE!" she'd just bang her toe against the living on table, and it hurt like a bitch. She threw herself on the dingy couch she and let out more cries of pain.
"What the fuck sis?" Penny asked, walking past Nikki to go to the kitchen.
"MY FUCKING FOOT!" Nikki shouted, even though the pain was slowly going away.
Penny grabbed a soda and replied, "Oh. Well anyway, Jerry is coming over tonight."
Nikki glared at her sister. "Are you serious? That's like the third time this week!"
Penny glared at her sister and opened the bottle and complained, "First you yell at me for not being in a relationship, then when I decide to settle down, you hate it."
"I don't hate it," Nikki said softly, looking into her sister's greenish-blue eyes. "I just hate that he doesn't have his own place so he comes over here twenty four seven. He's a fucking alcoholic and you know I have to deal with that at work. I don't want that shit at home too."
"So we'll go to his place tonight." Penny replied, sitting down on the floor next to her sister's legs, crossing her own.
"Are you sure that's even safe?" Nikki considered. "I mean, he lives with a bunch of 'runners' for a large mob boss. Isn't it like, one strike and you're out?"
Penny shrugged. "I don't really ask Jerry about that kind of stuff."
Nikki shook her head at her sister's irresponsibility. She didn't know about that stuff either, but regardless she wasn't going to throw herself under the bus. Especially not for a guy. "Ok...well I'm gonna take a shower." Nikki moved toward their shower, and muttered. "I need this night off of me. Fucking asshole." She cursed, recalling the bold man she'd encountered that night. As she turned the shower on, she couldn't help but remember his eyes, they'd been something that stuck in her mind. They were grey, but appeared to be silver, and when he turned to look at her angrily, she couldn't help but get a little tingle in between her thighs. God, that guy was fucking sexy.
Nikki shook her head. "What's wrong with me?"
