I'd been hearing rumors of this party happening this weekend, first they said it was going to be at the university dorms, a frat house, some guy's parent's house who were going to be out of town for the weekend. Everyone was saying it was going to be Halloween themed since it was Halloween weekend. All week that's all I heard about and finally on Thursday, I finally heard the final plans, one of the guys was going to be hosting it behind his found in the woods at the foot of the mountain. It was going to be a bonfire, that way they didn't have to worry about a noise complaint, and it was far out enough that it'd give everyone time enough to get out before the cops came.
Honestly, I was really interested in going out to that bonfire, but then I thought about it, and I realized I'd been to a few house parties already. This was something different and I'd never been to one before, so I decided to go. I asked a friend if they were going and they said they had a ride, so I asked if I could tag along. They were surprised that I wanted to go since I usually would bail out on these kinds of things.
"Really Lynn? You're going to go?" one of them asked me, masking a laugh as they stared at me confused. Her and another one of our friends looked at each other smiling before each giving me the side eye.
I rolled my eyes, already annoyed that for some reason I had to prove to them that I was going to go. I let out a loud sigh and groan as I nodded my head saying to them, "Yes. I plan on fucking going. God. What the fuck do I have to prove that I'm going to go with you? I just want to tag along and see what this is all about." I stared at them as they stared back at me, they just shrugged and told me they'd text me the details about the party later that night.
Later that night, I finally got a text with all the details about the bonfire Friday night. They told me that if I wanted to dress up in a costume I could, but I didn't have to. Only one of my friends was going and she had a ride from one of the guys who planned it, so he agreed to come pick me up. I told her to not have him pick me up at my house, I didn't want him or his friends to know where I lived, they were already annoying enough to deal with at school, and I didn't want that following me home. She agreed and asked where, so I told her at the park near my house, I'd be there waiting for them. She told me they'd be waiting and then she asked what I'd be wearing.
I told her she'd just have to see for herself with a winking emoticon. After that, I spent the rest of the week trying to plan what I was going to wear. After hours of pulling everything out of my closet, I found a "costume" that I liked.
I wore a black corset that barely contained my breasts, black silk fingerless gloves, a short black skirt, leather belts tied around my thighs, black thigh highs with skulls on them, and a pair of black converse. I, also, bought a cute rosary necklace with black beads and a white cross. I sprinkled a little blood on my tits, added a bite mark on my neck and now I was a vampire bride, a slutty one too.
So, when it was time for the party to start, I let my parents know I was going to be out at an early Halloween party and that I'd be going with my friend, Shyanne. Mom was busy on her laptop, watching something stupid on Facebook while my dad was busy watching T.V. I rolled my eyes at how nonchalant they seemed to care about me coming and going, it was a little bit of a curse to have parents that just let me leave when I wanted because I was hoping they'd throw a fit about this party and make me stay.
When I checked, a notification popped up on my phone, when I checked it was my friend letting me know that they were at the park and ready to go. So, I told my parents not to stay up waiting for me and if I end up spending the night somewhere else, I'll let them know. They both gave a half-hearted farewell, so I just left.
The walk to the park was chilly, but I really did love it. Fall in our area was so nice, we lived in a mountain area, we had a ski resort on our mountain, and the town felt more alive during the holiday season. I walked down the alley to the park, to avoid anyone seeing me, or stopping me. When I got to the park, I noticed there was a truck already in the parking lot, the engine running. I sent my friend a text asking if that was them in the truck, and she replied quickly letting me know that it was.
I walked over to the passenger side of the truck and pulled the door open, the door creaked loudly as it swung open. My friend scooted closer to the guy who was taking us over, his truck had a bench seat, or that's what he called it anyway. I got in and sat down, and we were off to the party. We had to drive out of town first to get near where we had to go, then we pulled off onto a dirt road I'd never noticed before. The drive down that road was not comfortable at all, I bounced up and down, holding on to the seat and the handle above my head, so that I would be tossed inside the truck.
I started to get nervous because of how far into the woods we were going, and I'd seen too many true crime shows to know this is how it starts. Soon though, I noticed a faint orange glow in between the pine trees, it grew brighter and brighter as we drove closer. Soon, I could see the flames of the bonfire rising in the air and shadows of people standing around it. Then, through the rising dust in front of our headlights, I could see a line of trucks all parked together a good walk away from the bonfire. We parked, and those two got out of the truck fast, leaving me by myself as I checked my phone before I got out. My battery wasn't great, sitting below 30% and my signal was nonexistent.
I got out of the truck and walked over towards the bonfire, and I noticed something. Besides my friend who I came with, I was the only other girl at this party. I counted there were at least twenty-five guys and just my friend and myself. I was scanned around, I could see a few familiar faces, one of them being a guy from my class who had asked me out in the past, but I rejected him. I knew that was one reason why he hated me, but the other reason was because we believed in opposing political views. His truck had bunch of right-wing bullshit on it, Trump and Confederate flags, Let's Go Brandon stickers, thin blue line stickers, and just pretty much your stereotypical red pilled incel.
He was sitting on the wooden bench with some of his friends, it looked like they were drinking beers. Then I could feel his eyes lock on me, his demeanor changed, and his eyes followed me as I walked around. I felt super uncomfortable, so I found an area where I could be by myself, under a tree, at the edge of the light of the bonfire. I stood there, pulling out my phone, pretending to be occupied as the others all drank and talked around me.
You could barely even call this a "Halloween" bonfire because I was one of the only ones really dressed up, some of them had cheap Spirit Halloween costumes, others just wore masks, and the rest were just dressed in camouflage jackets and pants. Then, he stood up, Jackson walked over towards me and was talking loud enough for everyone to hear him.
