The third man slammed the door shut, and the van was on its way, leaving no trace of what had just happened on the deserted street.
Mariana's heart raced as the van sped off with her inside. Her mind raced with questions about what was happening to her and why. As the van finally came to a stop, she was pulled out and dragged into a dark, abandoned building. But she couldn't defend herself, her hands were tied tightly behind her back. She struggled against the ropes that bound her to the chair, but they held tight. Fear and panic took hold as she realized the gravity of the situation she was in.
