(This story is posted on the Literotica website. Do not repost anywhere else without the author's consent. For fans of my stories, they know what kinds of things to expect. This story deals with similar themes as the stories by wannabeboytoy, seducedHylas, and Dark Betrayal, namely cheating, betrayal, and heartbreak. If stuff like that isn't your cup of tea, then you probably shouldn't bother reading it. I do not condone any of these actions in real life. This is just a story. Enjoy.)
(An additional note. We're at the epilogue, which means that these stories aren't so self-contained anymore. I will be giving endings for the characters that appeared throughout this tale across four epilogues. In this first epilogue, I'm covering the characters from Chapters 0, 1, 6, and 3, in that order. So, if you're a fan of Kevin Burkhouse, or Liam and Hannah, or Sylvia and Jon, or Lacey and Bruce, proceed onwards to learn their fates...)

(Chapter 11)
(Epilogue 1)
(One Year Later)
*****************
Christmas had changed. The spirit of Christmas had been corrupted at its core by the forces of greed, lust, and sin. And people were quickly following along in its example. The seed of this corruption was laid under the guise of the holiday, and as time passed beyond it, the seed took root and began spreading. You could see it anywhere you look, but if you want an example, look at the people of Fourth Street.
All of them had different experiences on Christmas, some more substantial than others, but in the year beyond, they all showed the affects which that fateful time of the year had had on them.
Take Kevin Burkhouse, for instance. He'd gotten into a car accident on the slippery roads as a girl slid through the intersection. Stressed out, tired, and frustrated, he had found himself vulnerable to the wiles of the young woman who'd run into him. And in a moment of weakness, he'd given in to her charms, drilling her roughly in the back seat of his minivan, taking out all his frustration on her hot body.
In the days afterwards, he'd felt regret and shame. He didn't tell his wife about any of it, obviously. He wasn't about to rip apart his own life because of a simple mistake. And that's what it was. A mistake. In a weakened state, angry and tired and absolutely fried, he'd cheated on his wife. He vowed to himself that it was a mistake he'd never make again. On top of that, he pulled back at work, not wanting to put himself in such a tired, worn out state where he'd make another blunder like this again. Luckily for him, work slowed down on its own, which made it easier. Plus, the kids had calmed down a bit, not wearing him and his wife so thin. Life was good.
He got to the summer without incident. Work was good. Life was good. His family was good. The blustery winter night where he'd made the dumbest mistake of his life was long forgotten. Even though it was a moment of shame, he was at least proud that he'd learned such a valuable lesson. A lesson to value his family and himself. To cherish these moments together and not blow it all on some momentary pleasure. And so far, he had taken that lesson to heart.
And then a familiar face began interning at his company over the summer.
Jamie. The college girl whose car ran into his and started all this mess. The girl who caught him in a moment of weakness and made him put his marriage at risk. That Jamie. She showed up among the new college interns at his company, and when he saw her, he recognized her immediately. He couldn't forget that face. He tried to keep his head down as she passed by, but as she glanced around and let her eyes drift across his face, her eyes went wide as she recognized him too. But unlike the nerves that coursed through him, she simply grinned girlishly and waved. He looked away, shaking his head. Was she stupid? Was she trying to blow his spot? Did she want people asking questions?
Luckily for him, he didn't really have to work alongside her on any projects. But, he did have to see her pretty little ass shaking as she did her work. He did have to notice her big boobs jiggling in her professional business tops. And he wasn't the only one to notice. The women in the office clearly were jealous of the young hottie, calling her a ditz. And honestly, she kinda was. He barely knew the girl, and while she wasn't stupid, she certainly lived up to the ditzy image she'd developed.
And the men of the office noticed her too, but in a far different way. Kevin listened to other guys talking about the young, hot intern. Or speak under their breath when she passed by, staring at her hot body. He even heard a few guys make vaguely racist comments about the young Asian woman. Kevin stayed above it all, giving no outwards sign of their history. If any of these other guys knew that he and Jamie had had sex before... he would never hear the end of it.
They'd barely interacted in the short time they'd worked together. She would smile and say hi when she passed by, and he would nod and smile politely, but that was it. She, to her credit, kept things professional, and he did the same. But he wasn't invulnerable to her charms, as every time he saw her, he remembered their encounter, the time they'd had hot sweaty sex in the back of his family van. He'd seen that hot body of hers in the buff. He'd had gotten his hands on the juicy, pert ass. He'd squeezed her huge tits. He fucking came inside of her! He couldn't just forget all that, and having her flouncing around the office wasn't helping.
And on top of that, one of the complaints he always heard about her through the grapevine was that she was always talking to her fellow interns about boy problems, about whatever boyfriend she had at the moment, and Kevin couldn't hide the small bit of jealousy that would go through him. Was their encounter forgettable to her? Did he leave such little of a mark with her that it was so easy to move on? He knew it shouldn't matter, but his manly pride was hurt a bit. Luckily for him, he was able to shake these feelings away quickly and remember all the problems she had caused for him. He knew how good she was, but he also knew it wasn't worth the conflict it caused.
It was awkward having her around, but for a while, things went okay. No issues, no problems, no slipups. Things were kept totally professional. After a couple months, he finally felt like he could breathe easily having her around.
