Hey there everyone. I would like to apologize for the long delay in posting this chapter. School sucks right now, and so does life pretty much. But I would like to send a massive thank you to everyone who emailed me curious about when I'm gonna update, it feels waayyy too good. I know what it feels like to find that an author has walked away from a story for a while, and again I am so sorry. I hope this can satisfy your curiosity. I still haven't gotten an editor, so I apologize for any mistakes but this was a little bit rushed. THANK YOU ALL SOOO MUCH =) I really hope you enjoy this.

Christian paced the length of his room so many times, he lost count.
I shouldn't have let her go so easily, I basically told her to leave, Christian thought to himself angrily.
Running his hands through his hair, he stopped pacing and looked out his window into the dark and cloudy night.
What I wouldn't give to be in Odette's mind right this minute. . .

Shock, that's the only thing Odette's mind was registering. Only then did she realize the loud scream that had pierced the air, was from her.
When Rita had flung the knife at Odette, Rita hadn't put enough force into the throw to have done serious damage, but that didn't stop Odette from using her mind to stop it before it made it's way to her.
Odette had stopped the knife just in time and it now stayed just inches form her upper body. She started to shake and then let the knife fall to the ground. The remaining people in the dining room just stared at Odette, jaws wide open. She looked down at the now ruined dinner, and sighed.
"Well that was interesting." She said
"Odette I am so incredibly sorry for that outburst. Are you alright? ." He asked. His voice was full of concern and anger. He strode towards her and reached for her arm, but she jerked it back.
"I think I've overstayed my welcome, and extremely so by the looks of it. If you'll call Jeffery I'll be out of your way in no time." She said. What a great way to start off, she thought bitterly. She was a bit shocked at the behaviour targeted at her; she knew she wouldn't be accepted into the pack right away, which was obvious. But this was an extreme, she couldn't believe what had just happened.
"Odette, you don't have to leave. I truly am sorry for Rita's behaviour, but that is no excuse. Stay with me and maybe we can salvage what's left of this evening. Charles," Andrew raised his left hand and a gorgeous dark haired man stepped forward, "Get me a glass of fresh water for Odette." The man nodded, and then walked out the door.
"Andrew, nothing can save this night. I've cause quite an uproar, and managed to draw quite a bit of attention." As she said this she looked around and the 15 or so pack members who were full out staring at either her, or Andrew. Finally noticing her discomfort Andrew turned around and said,
"Everyone leave us. Now." With one wave of his hand, everyone filed out the door and shut it behind them. "There, is that better?" He asked, smirking.
"Thank you, but that doesn't change what's happened here tonight Andrew, one of YOUR pack members came barging in here and tried to kill me." She said raising both her hands in the air. Andrew took hold of them and looked into her eyes.
"I cannot apologize enough for that, it is totally unacceptable. There should not be any other issue that will arise in the near future. Something like this has never happened before, and it never will again. " He finished quickly desperately trying to get her to change his mind. He rubbed her fingers in between his, then his face broke out into a smile. She couldn't help but to smile back.
"Fine, but I think I've lost my appetite. How about that walk?" she asked.
There was a knock at the door, it was Charles. Andrew went to him and thanked him for retrieving the the glass. He brought it over and handed it to Odette. She took a large gulp and place the glass down on the table.
"I think the walk is a perfect idea. It's nice this time of night." He replied. He wrapped the wound carefully after fully cleaning it, even though in a short while it will be healed completely. He finished quickly and stood up in front of Odette, holding out his hand. She accepted it and they both strode out the door hand in hand.
They made their way into the backyard, although it was too big to be called just a yard. It must've stretched out at least a couple acres in every direction, great for running.
During their walk that evening, Odette learned quite a bit about Andrew and his life. She learned that his parents live over in Europe, and enjoy coming down to visit their son once a year. Andrew has 2 other siblings, his sister Hannah and a brother Thomas. Hannah lives in Canada and has been for the last 10 years or so. His brother Thomas just became a pack Alphas second in command not too long ago, and he resides in Canada as well. Each at different ends, as to not get in each other's ways. From the sounds of things Andrew had a happy childhood, and grew up to be a good man. There was no significant tragedy in his life, and he seemed to be a generally normal and outgoing man. Not too bad, thought Odette.
Nearing the end of the night, Odette walked back to the front of the house with Andrew, hands still intertwined. Odette couldn't help but feel there was still something a little bit strange about this set up, and she wasn't completely sure what to think of Andrew yet, but that could still definitely change.
They said their good-bye's, and Odette managed to peck him on the cheek before she got into the car. The ride home was quiet, too quiet, and it only left Odette to her thoughts. Why do I feel so comfortable with Andrew already? She thought. Odette realized then that she was comfortable with Andrew enough to joke, and talk, but there was no physical attraction. Yes, Andrew was one gorgeous man, but Odette just felt odd thinking about being mated with him, it was too awkward. He was a great friend, but could Odette mate with him and make it more than that? Is it possible? She would have to wait and see, but Odette still had a doubt in her mind.
