This is a short work of erotic fiction containing furry, or anthropomorphic, characters, which are animals that either demonstrate human intelligence or walk on two legs, for the purposes of these tales. It is a thriving and growing fandom in which creators are prevalent in art and writing especially.

Full Moon Rekindling
Camping was something, at least, that they had always shared between one another and there was nothing like looking up at the stars in the back of beyond together, even though, well, Jake and Evie were not technically together anymore. The owl-type hippogriff cast a look at the wolf out of the corner of his eye, her brown fur shaded so that it matched his feathers, though he was fluffed up a little more against the cold than she was. It was winter, after all, as beautiful as their surroundings were, frost already setting in to further chill the ground.
They would not be out there for long, however, and, well, there were things that they could do to warm each other up, depending on how the night went, a blanket cast over their shoulders for the time being. Evie smiled and snuggled into him, using his feathers to steal warmth from even his body, but Jake was more than happy for her to do it, a little tingle of delight running through him even as his heart pounded.
Could he make the first move? Ah, but things like that were so difficult for him, the hippogriff frozen in place, beak slightly parted, eyes as wide as they ever were. He had to do something, anything, just to make things good again, to right the wrongs that had been done accidentally but, alas, had been done all the same. The hippogriff shook his head, stiff and rigid, and Evie gave him a look out from the corner of her eye, snuffling softly as if something was stuck in her throat, although there were only the unspoken words hanging between them to muffle any muzzle or beak.
Evie's muzzle turned upwards.
"Oh, look..."
And then it seemed that destiny was due to make the decision for him as the moon shone down on them, coming out from behind a bank of dark cloud as if it had merely been waiting for the right moment in which to reveal itself. If the moon held the tales of the ages in her glow, she would only add to them that night as Evie stiffened, quivering with restrained tension, the wolf's jaws hanging open as she whimpered. The white of the moon reflected in her eyes and, spellbound by what he knew of but had not seen before, all Jake could do was hold her tight, keep her steady, root her in reality even when, well...many things were destined to change in the coming moments.
He would not let her go even as her fur ruffled and skin shifted, pulling taut over a new form, the moon changing her. It was not only the moon that triggered the change but he was to be up close as Evie whimpered and twisted into a ragged howl, jaws hanging open in glee, the light of the moon itself seeming to shine from her eyes rather than act as a mirror for the glory above. The wolf growled, though it was more of a playful sound than anything else as she shoved her muzzle, growing larger and blockier, yet still beautiful, up close to Jake's.
Jake... The hippogriff stared back at her with only love and no fear in his eyes and her heart surged for him. He was one of few that had never shunned her and she grabbed him by the shoulders even as her paws became larger and softer, yet with deadly claws. The dark scythes of them caught the eye and she laughed recklessly, though still with a bubbly air, the sound of her mirth seemingly so infectious that not even Jake could help but laugh along with her.
