Hi. Yes, it's me. I know it's been an extremely long hiatus since I last posted and I feel terrible about it. I said before that I would start consistently posting again and I haven't. As you know, life can... get in the way. So I apologize for that.
However, I am back. Fully. I DO intend on finishing this series. You will get the rest of this, I promise. There are 3 more chapters after this one and I'm working on them right now. You guys deserve a conclusion.
I will tell you, that for years I've been working on more projects while I've been away. I have "My Roommates are Monsters Vol 2" being written and worked on and a couple of other big projects too that I think you all will enjoy. So please bear with me as I finish Vol 1 of this and close out the year.
Thank you so so much for all the comments and appreciation of this story.
As always these characters are all 18 or above and any grammar issues please try to ignore. Enjoy.

My Roommates are Monsters Ch. 7
Chapter 7: A New Pet
Ben drove them into the city and they chatted and flirted the whole way. Tonight, Flori had decided where to go. She told him she missed her fine dining days ever since she moved in with him and he felt guilty. So, he let her choose and they were now pulling up to a valet in front of a fancy looking restaurant bar place. It was called Atlantis and had a mysterious water themed look to it. They eventually got to the front of the valet and got out of the car.
Ben watched as couples and groups walked in and out of the restaurant. Almost all of them walked around like they owned the place, it was their strut and mannerisms. Most of them were in expensive suits and gowns. Ben felt more out of place than ever, and he lived with a vampire, a fairy, an elf, and an alien.
Just as he was beginning to turn around, he felt a cold but familiar hand squeezed his. Flori stood beside him and looked him in the eye. She gave him a knowing look and flashed that killer smile.
"Darling, don't worry about anyone else. It's just you and me. You have me." She reassured him.
That definitely helped. Flori was probably the most beautiful woman in any room she was in. Which also meant all eyes would be on them.
"We may have everyone in the restaurant's attention, but all of mine will be on you." She smiled again. He felt a little better about it and smiled back. They squeezed each other's hand and walked inside.
The restaurant definitely leaned into the water theme it was named after. It wasn't a very big restaurant but it felt spacious. The was a long bar on the other side of the restaurant opposite the door. A multitude of cloth covered stone tables littered the floor between. There were flowers and fancy silverware lined up perfectly on a few of the empty ones. There was a massive aquarium fish tank in he middle of the restaurant. It was ran from ceiling to floor and looked as if someone had craved out a piece of a coral reef and dropped it there. The ocean blue glow illuminated the entire room.
Ben noticed that their presence was already turning heads. He knew it was Flori who was getting the most attention but that made the onlookers gaze at him as well.
A waiter led them to their seats and they sat opposite each other in the booth. The waiter, who was a male teenager by the looks of it, placed a couple menus in front of them.
"Would you like to hear about our specials tonight?" The young waiter asked.
"Absolutely." Flori answered. While the waiter explained what the specials were, Ben just stared at Flori. She looked so beautiful to him tonight. I mean she was beautiful to him everyday, but it had been a minute since he'd been outside the house with her. Seven months had passed since he first met the vampire in front of him. His life had done a complete 180, and he couldn't be happier. Looking at the silver haired beauty, made him feel guilty.
Benjamin could feel himself falling for her. Not only her but Fee and Alfa as well. He loved all his girls. The guilt came from his love of Jocelyn, his late wife. At one point or another, he believed they would be together forever. Then she got sick. Then she died. It wasn't his fault or hers, life just happens. Still, he couldn't shake the feeling of guilt. Could he move on?
"Darling, are you alright?" Flori asked. The waiter had already left and she was looking at Ben concerned.
"Oh sorry. Yeah I'm fine. Just thinking." Ben responded.
Flori reached her hand across the table and grabbed his. "Are you sure? You were really deep in thought."
Ben squeezed her hand in his. "I'm sure. I was just admiring your beauty."
That made Flori smile. "Oh tell me more about that."
Ben put his thoughts behind him and chatted with Flori. Their food, that Flori ordered, came a little later and it was delicious. They shared and talked for a while before Flori was ready to move on. During the dinner she had moved to his side of the booth.
"I just wanna go to the bar." Flori spoke in his ear. With her hand still holding his, she led him to the other side of the restaurant. Flori's dress looked incredible on her and she had the envy eye of many women. Her shapely perfect legs pushed out of the high slits with every step.
They finally made it to the bar and sat in the stools lined in front of it. Even at the bar, eyes were glued to the both of them. Ben even noticed it was a little quieter than when they first walked in. The bartender appeared in front of them. She was an attractive dark haired girl who had clearly been doing this job for a while. She was making a drink when she asked them what they wanted. Flori ordered a couple of drinks for the both of them.
"Mmm I miss this." Flori said, rubbing her hand on Ben's thigh. "The last time we were in a restaurant together, we were meeting for the first time."
Ben smiled. "I remember. You essentially drugged me and compelled me home."
Flori gave Ben a side look and sly smile. "I also remember giving you extra amazing sex... like the day after."
Ben nodded. "Mmhmm, and then you tried to drink my... you know." Ben remembered there were people around. He didn't want them to overhear too much.
Flori rolled her eyes. "Which you stopped and I made up for tenfold by now. Feels like ages ago. It's been an interesting time since then."
The bartender brought over their drinks. Ben took a sip of his old fashioned whiskey. On the other side of Flori was an older couple who reminded him of them. They looked happy and couldn't keep their eyes off each other. He knew the beautiful vampire in front of him was referring to Fee and Alfa... and now Zera. The house was filling up. Ben never intended to have more than one roommate when this all started. Flori was already enough and her added "predicament" gave him the thrill he was missing.
"It has. I didn't intend on having... "special girls" ... when I offered you to stay with me. It was always supposed to be just you."
Flori looked Ben in the eyes and saw the honesty there. She could always tell when someone was lying. They gave off a scent and a look. "I know darling. For the most part I'm okay with it. It is YOUR house. Just don't go forgetting who was first."
Ben put his hand on her thigh. "Never."
She leaned forward and they shared a passionate slow kiss.
"Your kind is quite territorial aren't they?" Ben asked.
"Yes they are. Remember that." Flori squeezed his hand a little harder than usual. It made Ben wince.
"I won't forget." Ben replied through the pain.
They sipped on their drink a little more and did some people watching. A party in the corner of the room had gotten a little out of control and it seemed like the staff were ready for them to go. The bar had filled up with people quickly. Ben noticed a gentleman at the end of the bar behind Flori looking their way. He looked like came from a Calvin Klein commercial. He has medium length salt and pepper hair, a suit with the shirt open a little, an expensive looking watch on, and a piercing gaze. It looked like he was studying them.
Before Ben could say anything, Flori got up.
"I'm going to use the ladies room." She said and walked away.
"Okay." Ben said to her back. He didn't really want to be left alone but figured she would be gone only a couple of minutes. He turned towards his empty glass and flagged the waiter down.
"Can I get a refill please?" Ben asked politely.
"Of course." The bartender answered.
