"My Father would be so very disappointed in me right now. He never gave Alpha Raven even one single reason for her to ever doubt him, and yet here I am giving Alpha Torie every reason to doubt me and she is right." Jaxon said slowly.
"You're right and you should feel ashamed. But self pitying is not good." Candice said quietly in answer.
"Alpha Torie is right, Male Wolves tend to be not quite the thinkers when thinking in terms of the long road. They think in the moment and react just the same. Now I have never met any male cats so I can't say if they are like that or not. All I know of cats is Alpha Torie and the stories I heard about Alpha Raven, both are forward thinkers, they think about action, but more importantly about the consequences of those actions." she explained and Jaxon looked at her.
"Think of it in terms as this.. if you find out that a group of people are stealing from your store, do you A: Take down the one you caught or B: Follow the one to the rest?" she asked as she tilted her head a bit. Jaxon smiled and nodded, it was thinking Big Picture and not just in one small scene.
"The real question Jax, what does your heart tell you that you should do. Stay here or go back to Alpha Carter. For me, I am a wolf and I am happy either way as long as I am with you." she reminded him. Sometimes it was hard to remember that Candice was a wolf and not a cat like Alpha Torie and Clare as the three seemed to think so much alike on so many things.

Torie stepped onto the path leading to the pack house, and gently held Clare to her side as they walked. The air was clear and the stars easily lit up the night sky with no lights to diffuse them as they did in most towns and Cities.
"What do you think he will do?" Clare asked her and Torie just smiled at her.
"He'll do what he feels is right for him." Torie answered.
"That's not what I meant." Clare said and rolled her eyes.
"Oh I know what you meant, but you see I can't read the future and I don't do or say anything based on guess work." Torie replied and winked playfully. Both stopped and listened as they heard raised voices coming from the detention area.
"Luna will this day ever end?" Torie asked in an exasperated sigh. Clare tried not to giggle but wasn't entirely successful. They walked up to find a handful of Alpha's and their Beta's huffing and puffing at her Warriors, more then a dozen Warriors stationed to keep the prisoners safe.
"We just want the Commander, do not force us to show you the error of your ways, Son." one of the larger Alpha's was saying. Normally in a full battle the Warriors would have lost easily as even Beta's were normally stronger then the standard Warrior. Torie cleared her throat with a low rumble.
She saw her Warrior's smile in both pleasure at seeing their Alpha and Luna out for a walk, and also knowing that their hides would not be getting a beat down this evening. At seeing the Warrior's smile and hearing the low rumble the Alpha's froze.
"She's behind us, isn't she?" one of the smaller ones asked and the Warrior's all nodded in the affirmative.
"Damn.." another Alpha muttered under his breath. Torie noted another figure was standing under a tree and the scent told her exactly who it was as he stepped onto the path.
"You could say that.." the First Chair Council Member stated as he neared them. "Gentlemen I believe it is getting late and I am sure your mates must be getting worried by now. Unless you'd of course like to explain this to the Alpha behind you?" Torie had never seen a mass exodus before, usually you get one or two moving and the others hesitate, not this time, They all move in an instant. The Old Alpha just chuckled as he also watched the group move off.
"Thank you men, continue your duties, but next time, let me or your Luna know there is trouble. No need to get your hides stripped if you don't have to, besides your mates would never let me hear the end of it." Torie called to the Warriors who just chuckled and waved as they past by.
"Lovely night out First Chair Council Member." Torie said in greeting.
"Marcus, the name is Marcus Sun." he corrected and she looked at him a moment and grinned.
"One of the top best Assassins in the World, word was you died, some sort of assignment gone wrong." Torie said slowly. Marcus shook his head and laughed softly.
"I am surprised you didn't figure out the set up." He said with a grin. Torie thought about it a bit longer while he waited to see if she would see it.
"Geezus, you knew there was a mole all along, and made sure they passed on the information." she said and he nodded.
"I wanted out of the game, but I knew no one would just let it go if I tried to walk away. Too many knew who I was and had finger prints, photo's and by then even DNA on me. Someone would always be looking to either cash in on the Bounties they had on me or just to make a name for themselves by killing me. So I had to die." he explained as they walked.
"Found a body about my height and weight, same features too, then pumped about five liters of blood into his bones. When the job went down the whole place blew in a fiery explosion. All they had left to ID was the DNA and I was listed as Officially dead to the Human World. Once that is done your file is eradicated. About six years later I landed on the Alpha Council and been there ever sense." he told them while Torie nodded while listening.
"Well I am glad they didn't get you, your Pride and your leadership abilities have helped to keep the cat community going for many years when they were all but extinct." Torie said and he smiled at her.
"I have to admit, I did follow the exploits of Shiva from beginning to end and with a little more then professional admiration, hell I thought you were a man, you would not believe the many fantasies I had about Shiva, damn near embarrassing now." Marcus admitted while Torie burst out laughing.
"Say whatever did happen to all the money you got from those jobs anyways?" he asked curiously.
"Most got changed from bills to gold, lets face it Gold and Silver tend to hold their value much better then the dollar bill. The Jewelry and Art, stored in a safe house that is off any books. Along with every dirty secret that the Black Ops Director does not want publicly disclosed." Torie answered.
"You actually stole from those people?" Clare asked with wide eyes.
"Damn right I did, besides they didn't have any use for it anymore." Torie answered which had Marcus laughing now.
"She does have a point." he told Clare who could only shrug.
"What did you end up with?" he asked.
