I woke up the next morning feeling very woozy. I brushed my teeth, took some pain medicine for the headache, and made my way downstairs. Katy was on the couch watching TV. I looked up and saw her face, and the only thing I saw was Veronica in that blonde wig. I shook my head to get the vision out of my head.
"Hey, sleepy head. So how was it last night?"
"Last night....," the image of Veronica in the fishnet came back. Get it together. "It was definitely wild. I think Scott and Trevor forgot that we're not high schoolers anymore. I'm sure they feel worse than I do."
"That sounds like those idiots. What all did you guys do?"
"Well, we went to Jamboree Street and bar-hopped for quite a while. Got tired and sat out by the lake. Trevor brought some... green, grassy, party favors for the occasion," I chuckled.
"Oh my God, you guys didn't!" Katy smiled at me. "Kevin, you haven't done that in forever! ha!"
"Oh, and last night was a reminder of why I haven't lol. I don't think Dave opened his eyes the rest of the night!" I said laughing.
"Dave?? Oh God, Kevin, I can't even picture that," Katy laughed.
"We're meeting up today at Beefy Henry's for lunch before they leave. I'm actually going to get ready here in a bit."
"Oh bring me back a beefy junior with cheese," Katy said.
"Of course."
The door opened and Veronica walked in the door. She kind of froze when she saw me on the couch and looked back and forth between me and Katy. My brain went into overdrive again. Calm down, calm down.
"Um.... Ronica? It's still us, ya know? We haven't aged that much since yesterday," Katy said. Veronica paused and caught her composure.
"Sorry. I just couldn't figure out how such a beautiful creation like me came from you two.... ogres," she said with a look of disgust. She glanced over at me and I could tell she was worried.
"Um, excuse me! You know you're just my copy," Kate said back.
"No, I'm the newer and improved model. You're reaching the age of antique," Veronica said as she flipped Katy the middle finger.
"You little tramp!" Katy laughed and launched at Veronica, who had started running up the stairs laughing.
I started getting hot. I was about to lose it again. I couldn't get the image of Veronica's naked body out of my head. And even worse, just seeing her right now had me rock hard.
"Had to show her I still got it," Katy said laughing.
"Spoiled little shit," I chuckled. "Hey, I'm about to get dressed. I have to meet the guys."
I went upstairs and headed toward my room. The bathroom door came open, and Veronica's eyes met mine.
"Ronica......," that's the only thing I could get to come out of my mouth.
"Dad.... I.... I have to go," she stuttered.
"Ronica, I......," it was too late. She ran back to her room. I stood there for a second and went into my room. I got dressed and grabbed my keys. I walked back downstairs, kissed Katy on the forehead, then walked out the door. I drove to Beefy Henry's to meet up with the guys. Hanging out and enjoying one of our childhood hang-out spots kind of took my mind off things. We ate, laughed, and finally said our goodbyes after a few hours. When I made it home, I realized Katy's car was gone. Must be gone to the store. I walked in and saw Veronica looking in the refrigerator. She looked up when she noticed me walk in.
"Uh.... hey," I said when I looked up. "Where's your mom?"
