First, this story has been placed under the Incest/Taboo category because that is where it most closely fits. However, the story is about a step-brother and sister, so technically is it NOT incest. I wrote this story as part of a friendly contest between Literotica members, and one of the requirements was that it involve step-siblings. If you continue to read after this disclaimer, I hope you enjoy this short story!
Second, many thanks to my editor, Chargergirl, who also helped me with parts of the story! I truly appreciate it Cgirl!

Julian kicked his dusty boots off outside the back door and stepped inside the cool house. The early August heat had been fierce today! He dropped a small Igloo ice chest on kitchen counter and headed straight for the refrigerator in search of something cold to drink. He reached for a bottle of beer, twisting the cap off and taking a few large gulps before pausing to let out a loud belch. Ah, that hit the spot! Since turning twenty-one the previous March, he didn't have to sneak beers when he was home, but his mom still busted his chops if she noticed him drinking more than two beers on a work night.
Home from college for the summer, Julian had been working full-time to earn enough money for the next school year. The father of one of his friends had a construction company, and hired Julian for the summer as an "unskilled laborer." Since the only prior construction experience he had was putting together an Ikea bookshelf, he counted himself lucky to have the job.
The first two weeks had been brutal. Julian's days consisted of getting up at the crack of dawn, downing a hasty breakfast before heading to that day's work site, where he spent the day climbing up and down ladders, hefting lumber, hammering nails, and hauling construction debris to the dumpster. By the end of the day, every muscle in his body was crying out in protest. Julian didn't know what hurt more, the sunburn on the back of his neck, the burning muscles in his arms and back, or the popped blisters that covered his hands. Over time, the blisters healed, his skin and his muscles toughened up, and he took a strange pride in his working man's tan: face, neck and lower arms burned dark by the sun, while his chest, back and legs remained pasty white.
A movement caught his eye and he looked up as his step-sister, Chelsea, walked into the kitchen. Mid-drink, he accidentally banged the bottle against his teeth. Grimacing, Julian nodded to Chelsea. "Hey."
"Hey yourself." Chelsea gave him a shy smile and then turned her attention to a messy stack of papers next to the telephone. Her long brown hair flowed loosely around her shoulders and down her back. It shone like satin and Julian wanted to reach out and run his fingers through those silky strands. Chelsea stood at about 5'5", with a petite frame, boyish hips and surprisingly generous breasts. Today she was dressed in a bright pink tank top that showed off her chest, and a pair of white capri pants that hung low on her hips. Every inch of exposed skin was toned and looked incredibly soft and smooth. Julian felt his cock stir and quickly looked away, reminding himself that this was technically his sister!
"Where's everyone else?" he asked, tipping the beer bottle to drain it.
She looked up at him from under her dark lashes. "My dad's in his study, and your mom called, to say she'd be about a half hour late tonight, and to go ahead and start dinner without her."
That's the way they still talked about their parents - "her" dad and "his" mom, even though their parents' wedding had been three years ago. At the time, Chelsea had been one year behind him in high school and they knew each other in the way that everyone seemed to know, or at least recognize by sight, everyone else in a small community like a high school. Being in different grades and social circles, their paths hadn't crossed much.
All that changed when Gina Carlucci was fixed up on a blind date with Bill Turner. They hit it off right away, and less than a year after they met, Bill proposed to Julian's mother. After the wedding, the four of them, his mom, new step-dad, Julian and Chelsea, settled into a large home in a middle class suburb, complete with brick-lined front walkway, double-wide garage, and backyard patio with Weber barbeque. Just like the Brady Bunch. Except with only two children, both young adults, and no Alice.
Julian dropped his empty bottle in the recycling bin under the sink and mentally shook himself.
Might as well get this over with
, he thought,
and if I'm lucky, she'll already have plans for this week-end.

Every year, hundreds of people made the trek to the opening week-end of Silver Lake State Park. Julian and his two best friends from high school had rode the dunes at Silver Lake opening week-end every year since they turned eighteen, and were looking forward to their fourth annual opening week-end.
He had been vaguely aware that Chelsea and her boyfriend broke up not too long ago, but he didn't think it concerned him until his mom cornered him one night after work.
"I want you to take Chelsea to Silver Lake with you next week-end."
"Huh?" Julian was watching a rerun of The Simpsons and he didn't quite hear what she said.
His mom's voice took on a tone he knew well. It was her
This is what I want, and you're gonna make it happen
tone. "Julian, I'm asking you to invite Chelsea to go to Silver Lake with you and your friends next week-end. She's been mooning around here for weeks, ever since she and Jason broke up."
What?!
Now she had his full attention. Julian groaned. "Mom, she wouldn't have any fun with us. It's just me, Tom and Elliot. A bunch of guys, riding around all day on ATV's, in the hot sun."
But his mom had gotten her way in the end, as she usually did. Julian reluctantly agreed to ask Chelsea to spend the week-end at Silver Lake, to help cheer her up. It wasn't that he didn't like Chelsea; she was fine and they got along okay. But he'd been planning (well, hoping) to get some action of his own. Tons of hot babes came to party at Silver Lake every summer, and the first week-end was always extra crowded. Being a single guy at the moment, Julian had high hopes for getting laid that week-end.
