Liar, Liar
Thanks to Kenji Sato for the edit.
I don't know what you will think of me after reading this story. Life can sometimes put people in situations they do not want be in. In fact, according to my big sister it is a miracle that I have survived with this mentality until this age. She always tells me I'm stupid.
I am Gülten a thirty-four-year-old widow with two children. My husband Celal died last year in a traffic accident while he was working as a driver for a bus company. We had gotten married at a young age loving each other very much. He made me very happy from the moment I said yes to him until the moment I buried him. If he were alive none of these troubles would have happened to me. When he died I was like a fish out of water. Fortunately I had paid off some of our house debt with his compensation. It was very difficult for me to try to balance the instalments every month.
I work at my big sister's hairdresser shop. When my husband died the whole burden of the house fell onto me. I earn money by dealing with strangers' feet fingers and hair all for my children. I must thank my sister as she has supported me a lot in my difficult time.
I am not a very beautiful woman but after my husband's accident I had many suitors. Everyone advised me to remarry and leave all of the difficulties behind. I did not want to get attached to a person again. Since I had become a widow many men from my circle of friends wanted to take me to bed but I did not give them the chance.
I am a woman who is approximately 167 centimeters tall and weighs 55 kilograms. I have a fit body with my white skin and long black hair. My smooth legs without cellulite are perhaps my favorite attribute. Of course after breastfeeding two children my breasts are not the same; though, they are not bad. I did not go to university after high school; I met Celal and got married in a short time. Even if I had worked hard and gotten into university my family did not have the financial means to send me.
My daughter Aylin is eight years old. My son Aygün is twelve years old. It is really hard to be alone with two children especially as Aygün grows up the difficulties increase. I can say that I live for their needs.
After summarizing my life story that hopefully opens your soul I guess I can start telling you what happened to me.
I must admit that living a below-average life with my two children was very tiring for me. I would toss and turn in bed at night thinking about how I would pay the upcoming house instalment and I couldn't sleep. The money I saved every month and put aside to eat when necessary had dried up. I was going to be penniless when I paid the instalment.
On Thursday afternoon I was having coffee and chatting with my sister in front of the shop due to there being no customers. We were talking about my financial problems and the ongoing conflicts between her and her husband. A jeep pulled up and parked in front of the shop. She swore loudly for blocking the front of the shop and while she was about to stand up and warn the driver my uncle got out of the car.
He gave us a wave. He was grinning. He hugged my sister and me.
My sister said, "Welcome uncle. Come sit down and I'll make you some coffee." She went back into the shop.
My uncle used to have a white goods (large home appliances) store. Unlike my father he was in a good financial situation. My poor father could not go beyond being a factory worker. He and my mother settled in the village and were barely making ends meet with his retirement pension.
My uncle would occasionally visit my sister's shop. I didn't like him very much. He was a man who was of no use to anyone around him. He was an attractive man worth seeing with his slight belly stubble and big body. The way he looked at me was always strange. I had the feeling that those black eyes were inspecting my entire body. I didn't know if my sister was doing it out of spite but she kept talking about how I was in a difficult situation. My uncle left saying he had business at the bank.
While I was having dinner with my children at home in the evening the doorbell rang. I wasn't expecting anyone. Aygün opened the door. My uncle had come with shopping bags and packages in his hands. He had come alone. My aunt wasn't with him. I invited him to the table and we had dinner together. He chatted with the children and me. He asked about my bank debt and my instalments. When it was close to ten o'clock Aygün and Aylin went to their rooms to sleep. We went to the kitchen to smoke.
While I was thinking that it was getting late and he would leave soon he continued talking. He even called my father. As I took the empty tea glass from him he pulled me to him and hugged me by holding my waist. His hands then gripped my hips and he kissed me on my lips. I pushed him away. I wanted to slap him but I couldn't. Our bodies were pressing together I could feel his hardened penis. He was hugging me with his arms. I couldn't get away.
"I like you very much. I want you to be mine." he said.
"Are you crazy? Let me go. I'm your niece."
"I can meet all your needs. All you have to do is say yes."
"You are really crazy. Do you realize what you are offering me? Aren't you ashamed of my father or your wife? Stay away from me." I said and got rid of his arms.
I ran to the bathroom and locked the door. I was shaking with anger and feeling dirty. I was relieved by the sound of the front door closing. He kept calling all night long. I wasn't answering his calls or answering his messages. He kept insisting on talking. If my sister hadn't told him that I was in trouble none of this would have happened to me. Maybe she meant well but she couldn't have guessed that my uncle would do this.
The next morning I went straight to the bank. I wanted to get a loan. They said they couldn't help me because I wasn't officially employed. I was in a tight spot financially. There was no one I knew who I could borrow money from. My family was struggling to make ends meet and my sister was trying very hard to run the shop.
The house instalment was coming up. Aygün wanted a mobile phone and Aylin wanted a new bed. I sat on a bench and started crying. When I returned to the shop I didn't show it to my sister but I was devastated.
I was not in my right mind while working at the shop— I almost burned a customer's hair. In the afternoon I got permission from my sister and went home with Aylin. Aygün said that there was going to be a football match in the evening and that if I let him he wanted to stay with his friend after the match. I let him because I knew his friend Arda and his family. There was no school the next day because it was Saturday. It was going to be just my daughter and me for dinner. I cooked something in a hurry.
