"I can't wait until this weekend!" I exclaimed at the lunch table.
My two friends Lars and Nick were sitting across from me. We are all 18 and ready to be done with High School. This week was the last week. Afterwards a nice long weekend and a graduation ceremony next Wednesday.
We are all going to our local So-Cal community college in September. It's something that has been a bitter topic amongst my father, mother and I. My Dad wanted me to attend a university and move off into a dorm. My mom wanted me to stay close at community college. Lars and Nick barely passed High School so they're going to community and I wanted to join them but I also eventually want to transfer from community to a better college because I have the grades.
There were screaming matches between my mother and father over it. I feel so guilty. I just want 2 years with Nick and Lars and I'll transfer. I want 2 good years where you know, we don't have to split up and face the reality of going our separate ways.
My father resigned himself to my decision. He made it clear though that after two years I was moving out no matter if I had a dorm room to move into or not. I guess that's fair.
The reason I was so excited for the weekend was that my Dad promised to take us to the Water Park on Saturday. He said he'd also need to take Drew along with us as a favor to his boss at the Warehouse.
I never met Drew but apparently he goes to our school and is graduating with us. Lars opened up the Yearbook to Drew's picture. He's a member of the football team, defensive line.
"Shit he's huge!" said Nick.
"Yeah no kidding. Eric, how is we got stuck with him?"
"Dad said we have to show him a good time because his promotions on the line."
"Wow, that sucks. Hope he doesn't pick on us the whole time." Replied Nick.
Nick is on the short side, dark skin, bit of a fro and glasses. Lars is my height but skinnier than me and Nick who has some pudge on him. Lars has a Shaggy look to him. Me, I'm skinny as well, but with a bit more muscle from sculpting; my passion. My eyesight sucks so my lens are thick, I'm nearly legally blind.
The three of us have been friends since middle school. We've survived waves of bullies together and now being seniors, the year gave us reprieve from those older than us that found us to be weaklings and low hanging fruit.
Lars and Nick both know my parents and I do theirs as well. They like to make fun of me sometimes because my Mom; Chelsea has big...well big breasts. 32 DD to be precise. With long brown hair, a triangular face, blue eyes and a big bottom atop of long legs, she looks 30 even though she's 48.
While Dad works as a Logistics Director at a big ticket warehouse, Mom is a full-time yoga instructor. She owns a studio in town. I've been to a couple classes and she's really passionate about it. However there are plenty of men there amongst the women I know that have to be there just to flirt with her and the women there.
Dad is like me, average build, but he's going bald and has perfect vision. Some wonder how my Dad landed my Mom. They met in college according to tail and fell in love in English Literature class. Apparently my Dad, despite being a hard-ass mostly, has a soft spot for American Poetry and wooed her with some fancy poems. My mom is a bit more gullible than my friends moms and is a bit of a ditz. I love her, but it's true.

Saturday
I woke up to Dad and Mom yelling in the kitchen.
"Chels, you've got to do this for me!"
"Why can't you take them again!?"
"I told you there's a mandatory meeting at the warehouse. Doug is dropping off Drew soon. Just take them to Water Park today and I'll take you out later tonight, I promise!"
"Fuck, fine just go! Go, but I choose where we're going later on. Now give me a kiss and get on your way before I change my mind."
Dad gave her a long smooch and patted her on the ass before heading to the door.
"Everything alright Dad?"
"It's settled, just take care of your Mom today and make sure she doesn't drink too much."
It's true, Mom does have a slight drinking problem. A couple of martinis in her and she gets flirty. I've noticed it at parties, but to my knowledge she's never been caught doing anything lewd or cheating. I've seen her blackout before though and I've had to stop her more than once from getting a DUI.
Mom had on a pair of cut-off Jean shorts and a black tank top. I was hanging around the kitchen eating a bowl of cereal in my board shorts and nothing else giving the rising temperature.
"So you're taking us Mom?"
"Guess so honey."
"Are you angry at Dad?"
"Honey, Me and your father our fights...we're just getting older and we're cranky. We get on each other all the time but we still love each other. Plus he's taking me out later and I'm picking the fanciest restaurant I can get reservations to and ordering me a nice glass or three of fine wine."
*Ding Dong*
Mom looked at me. I shrugged. We were supposed to pick up Lars and Nick so it couldn't be them. Mom walked to the door and opened it.
"Hello? Chelsea Burns how may I--- ooof!"
Drew entered the house and gave Mom a huge hug, lifting her up off the floor. He gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"You must be Eric's sister!"
"Ooh you're so sweet, no I'm his mother. You must be Drew? Right? You're so big are you a quarterback?"
"Nah, Defense. I'm used to tackling, sorry Mrs. Burns."
"Where's your father; Doug?"
"Mandatory meeting, Mom dropped me off."
"Shame she sped off, I'd of loved to meet her."
Drew was in a tight white t-shirt, blue trunks. Drew is mixed and his eyes are a bright shade of green. He's handsome for sure. Must get all the women. You can tell he's just got this aura of charisma about him. It's a confidence.
"Hey, kid! You must be Eric."
"Yep, that's what they call me. You ready to for the Water Park?"
"Hell yeah I am! All those women in tiny bikinis. You know what I'm talking about?"
I nodded.
"Eric!" Mom said, hands on her hips in mock disappointment.
We both laughed.
Drew seems like a good guy so far. A little handsy, but he's probably used to that stuff being a football player.
"Let me run up stairs, get changed, grab my purse and we can get going." Said Mom.
As Mom walked away I saw Drew staring down her ass as it swayed. He was practically drooling.
"So is it just the three of us?" asked Drew.
"No we're picking up my friends; Lars and Nick on the way."
"Shit those dweebs."
"What?"
"Eric, those two are pussy repellents. I'm gonna look like such a tool around those two. You need to choose friends who are gonna help you get laid. Those two will never help you as long they're around them. They'll drive women away."
"But they've been my friends since middle school."
"So, you did your time. Time to let them go."
"You boys getting to know each other?"
We both looked up to my Mom, now in a red bikini top that showed way too much boob-age. She wore her cutoffs again and had a towel draped over her shoulder.
"I got your shirt from your room. Let's put on our flip flops and get going. I'm sure you're dying to get there Drew."
