Chapter 32

Adam wakes to two sets of lips on his cock again. He moans and stretches, then says, "I love being 'the Man.' Good morning ladies. You're doing a fantastic job."

Adam hears giggling from under the covers, and then he flips them off to have both women staring up at their Man. They never stop servicing Adam. The Ericksons all smile, knowing that's exactly what will happen, and Adam takes his wives to bed and does the same thing. In the next few weeks, Caitlyn filled out an application for Alices' bank and was hired to fill that open position. Her ability to help others understand the concepts just like her brother/husband Adam does at his job is highly appreciated. Her instructors are just as pleased as Adam's were, and Brad is now. Her summer classes finish a couple of weeks before the Fall classes, and she gets a little respite and time to spend with her extended family. Alice has continued to lead her institution to better morale and efficiency as she also continues to see things and the best way to correct them.

Over the course of the next several weeks, a lot of things happen to the Ericksons, plus Bull and Caitlyn. Caitlyn accidentally lets the cat out of the bag on Alice's pregnancy. The whole bank is surprised but very happy for Alice. The 'official' cover story is that Alice had decided to go speed dating and connected with a guy from there. After a few dates and a few times in the sack, the dude ghosted Alice. She didn't realize her pills had become ineffective until she found she was pregnant. She decided not to tell the Bio-dad as he didn't want her and surely wouldn't want a child. So she decided Adam would be the child's father and the Ericksons, as a family, would raise the child together. All the staff understood her reasoning as they had all seen his love for Alice and his wife Allie and knew the child would indeed be loved.

Alice and Adam also go to the OB for their first ultrasound. The child is healthy and beautiful. Alice and Adam receive the first 'picture' of the growing life inside. The love and huge grins they share say it all. Both loving parents-to-be take the pictures to their respective jobs and share the miracle. Everyone is very supportive and happy for the family. Ironically, Brad notes that Adam's happiness is above what would be expected of one man raising another man's child.

Brad pulls Adam aside to his office and asks, "Adam, is this child actually yours and not some 'Speed date dude'? I can understand if that is the case. Alice is a beautiful woman, and I can plainly see the love you share."

Adam sits, shocked for a minute. As carefully as they had been, it seems someone else has figured out that his relationship with Alice isn't just his 'Mother-in-law.' Seeing no negative expression on Brad's face, he says, "Yes, Brad. It is my child but there is more, much more. If I tell you, it can't go ANY further than you and me. Understand?"

Brad smiles at the earnest fear and a little excitement on Adam's face. "Yes, Adam, I understand. Please go on."

Adam leaves out most of the details but tells Brad about the truth about his family. Alice is both his and Allie's biological mother, and Allie is his sister and his 'legal' wife, as is Alice in a less 'official' way. The love they share is so beyond the beginning relationship they didn't fight it and embrace it wholeheartedly. "Now Alice and Allie and I are having a baby. I'm so excited, Brad, I can hardly contain myself."

Brad, while surprised, isn't disgusted by the revelations and smiles at Adam. "I knew something was different about your relationship and about you by the way you look outside the box for solutions. It doesn't surprise me. Don't worry, Adam, I will keep your secret. Enjoy the life you have built both within our company and your family. It may be unique, but maybe that's what this world needs. Brian's mom and I divorced and are happier that way, but we have stayed close for Brian's sake, which works for us."

Adam's relief is painted on his face. He grins at Brad and says, "Brad, I'm going to be a Father. I can't wait." Brad just smiles a knowing smile and shakes Adam's hand. The men further bond over Adam's revelation and the knowledge of becoming a father. Adam adds the adoption of Bull and Caitlyn to his family. The additional excitement Brad feels coming off Adam flows off him in waves, and he grins broadly.

"That reminds me, Bull is the man I referred to on that first bridge project. What are the chances of bringing him on as a consultant for those kinds of projects? He is unhappy at his current job now that he and Caitlyn are married. I think he is ready for a more fulfilling life."

Brad's face lights up at the idea, and says so. "I will approach the partners and let you know. There is that thinking outside the box again, Adam. Keep those ideas coming." The men shake again and return to their day.

Chapter 33

As Alice begins to show, she starts looking at her wardrobe. She decides to go shopping for maternity clothes. She takes Allie, of course. They will need professional attire for Alice's work and will need even more for their days off.

Allie notes, "Since we are essentially the same size, we should find stuff that looks cute on both of us. That way, I will already have cute clothes when I get pregnant."

Alice smiles at the fore planning for her own pregnancy. "That sounds great, Allie. With that thought, maybe you can keep me from getting a bunch of 'Old lady' clothes." The girls giggle and hug with a quick smooch. Adam, of course, is dragged along to approve of the clothes and be a 'pack mule' as his ladies shop away. Many people witness the fun they have along the way. It makes most other people smile at the love they see. Adam is nearly constantly rubbing Alice's belly when she is in range of his loving touch.

At the second OB ultrasound, they are offered to know the baby's sex. They decide to wait. After this appointment, though, Adam and Bull begin to switch the Study into a nursery for the baby. They go with many neutral colors: greens, yellows, and light blues. They go as far as painting the ceiling like a beautiful summer blue sky with little white puffy clouds. The extra surprise comes when the lights are off, and the scene becomes sparkling stars. All the ladies are blown away at the extra thoughtful gesture. During this time, Alice has a big Baby shower at the apartment hosted by Allie and Caitlyn.

When the nursery is completed, it is just in time. The following week, Alice goes into labor, and a daughter is born to Alice and Adam, who are just missing out on having her for Valentine's Day. They named her Ashley Jean Erickson, and Adam was listed as the father. When the news hits the college and all three job sites everyone sends along their congratulations to the happy family. Adam couldn't be happier and showed it to everyone he met.

The ladies are just astounded at the love Adam has for them and their new child. He fantastically dotes on his new daughter, 'Nothing like his father,' Alice notes. Any doubts she had about a child with Adam are gone in an instant. Allie, for her part, is so happy to see Adam that way with her sister/daughter that she starts thinking about her own pregnancy and having Adam's next child. In the following few weeks, the new routine is set. Spring is just arriving after another month, and the whole family celebrates with a first-season BBQ on the roof.

Over the last summer and through this last year of college, Allie has excelled in her studies and her job at the pediatrician's office. Everyone, her doctor and her instructors, are more than pleased. Allie is offered a full-time position as an RN when she has her RN degree and license, which she gladly accepts. She is also upfront with her doctor on her plans to get pregnant and have a child with Adam within the next year, God willing. The doctor sees her excitement and has no problem with her plan.

Alice takes a short Maternity leave and returns to work early, but only for half-days. She works remotely some days, especially those days that include pediatrician appointments for Ashley. Of course, they use Allie's office and doctor for her care. She is happy and healthy from the moment she enters this world, to Alice's relief. Since she is an older mother, the possibility of health problems was a concern she kept to herself, not wanting to worry Adam. The new addition somewhat changes the family's routine, but not as much as she could. They all pitch in and help with the baby, even Bull and Caitlyn.

Soon, Caitlyn looks at Bull and says, "I'm ready to start our own family too, Dwight Honey. Will you make me a mother, too?"

Bull just looks at her, astounded that she would want to have his child even with all the love they share. He begins crying unashamedly and replies, "Yes, Dear. I would be happy to have a child or children with you." They leave shortly after to begin having that baby. Caitlyn takes Bull back to their apartment, leads him first to their bathroom, and shows him throwing away her birth control pills.

"We will need to wait a few weeks before really trying, but when the time comes, I want your baby inside me soon, Bull. I want to have a child with you to experience the love and family the Ericksons have. If we're lucky, Allie and I can have babies together and really send our family into orbit." Caitlyn says with a happy smile. Bull just takes his wife in his arms and gently shows her how he feels. They make love long into the night.

Allie talks to Alice and then to Adam about getting pregnant. Adam couldn't be happier to add to his family. The thought of Allie being pregnant reminds him of the image he had conjured when they discussed it at the beginning. He can't stop smiling at the thought of becoming a father again with Allie as the mother. Alice is also excited for Allie to become pregnant and experience the joy of being a mother. As the family they are, everyone works towards that end, starting with Allie doing the same thing Caitlyn did. She takes both Adam and their mother into the bath and throws her birth control pills in the toilet.

In short order, both 'sisters' are pregnant by their respective husbands. Adam receives even more surprising news the week after they find the girls pregnant. Adam has been running bigger and bigger projects for the firm and even had Bull consulting on two of them, as the firm loved Adam's idea. Having brought Bull on Full-time as the consultant he suggested, the increased pay for Bull eased his mind as his pending fatherhood became a reality.

Brad has Adam report to the big conference room one day before lunch to find the partners and Brad waiting. They ask him to sit at the end of the table opposite Lead Engineer and Senior Partner Tom Anderson. Tom nods to Brad with a smile. Brad smiles back, then turns that smile on Adam.

"Adam, the partners want to offer you an opportunity we all agree you deserve." Brad pauses, watching Adam look from him to Tom and the other partners before returning his gaze to Brad.

"The partners want to offer you the position to join them as a full Partner in this firm. Adam, we all see your increasing potential as an Engineer and a man. Please accept this offer." Brad finishes.

Adam is floored, but his natural humility kicks in first. "I would love to accept, but I can't take this without Brad. As my friend and Mentor, he has shown me everything I know about being a 'Working' Engineer, not just a paper tiger like many in our field. I wouldn't feel right to accept it if he wasn't a partner before me."

Tom smiles, and Brad says, "See what I mean, Tom. This young man is what we need here."

Tom nods and replies. "Adam, Brad was made partner earlier today as well. That's when he suggested we make this offer to you. Everything Brad said was accurate. You are, without a doubt, a good man and an even better Engineer. We really would like you to join us. Please consider it a firm, honest offer." Adam is further astounded by the usually reticent Tom Anderson. His previous interactions have typically been all business but in a charming way.

Adam then looks back at Brad, askance on his face. "This is real, Adam. They asked me to be a partner at this morning's status meeting. I accepted, and we want you to join us as well. Please seriously consider this offer. Talk it over with your family if you need to." Brad says earnestly, and with a bit of pride and emotion for this young man, he has grown to consider both a friend and a little bit the younger brother he never had.

Adam looks around the table and sees all the men looking at him, waiting for his answer, most with a bit of hope on their faces. Adam thinks about how this offer could help his growing family. He doesn't need to talk to Alice and Allie. He knows in his heart that they would love to see him excel like this.
