As always, thanks to everyone who has chosen to read about Tom and Chrissie. They appreciate it! Lol As always, a huge thanks to Kenjsato for his expertise in helping me make this story readable! Any 'mistakes' are mine, as I don't listen all the time.
Thanks for the continuing support of Paolo. Again, I haven't used all of his suggestions but he plants little seeds so who knows.
I'm posting multiple chapters just to keep ahead! I'm finding that, as time goes on, each chapter either raises new questions or answers some. Any queries will be addressed in forthcoming chapters, sooner rather than later. Hopefully!
Thanks to everyone who has voted and left comments. They do help...
Chapter 15 Wednesday
Work was relaxed, especially after the day we had yesterday.
Arthur brought me up to speed on a few projects and recommended one that would suit my new skillset. I spent the rest of the day ruminating over the new proposal whilst following up on the leads I had from the auction. Around three o'clock I decided to call it a day. It was still early so thought I'd swing by the Art Institute and see Chrissie. And Emily.
The day was beautiful, driving along Lake Shore Drive. I would never tire of the breeze and the smell of the water. I parked up and made my way into the building, remembering the route Chrissie had taken to her office. I peered in and saw Chrissie hunched over photographs with a loupe. I silently pushed the door open and walked in. Chrissie saw me, or perhaps felt me, come in.
She threw down the eyepiece and ran to me, shrieking. She jumped up, her arms surrounding my neck as her mouth found mine. We lovingly kissed, my hands greedily flowing through her hair. We continued our erotic embrace.
"Get a room!" we heard from the back of the room.
Chrissie and I broke apart and looked at Emily. We both laughed at her.
"Go give her a hug, Tom. She's very needy today," she whispered.
I broke away from Chrissie and resolutely walked towards Emily. She was like a deer caught in the headlights of an imminent collision.
"Hi, Emily," I smirked, as I held my arms out. "How's your day going?"
She regained her composure as she tentatively walked towards me. I still had my arms out and saw Emily raise hers slightly. I embraced her and held her. Emily lifted her head and looked at me.
Slowly and softly, her lips touched mine. I don't know what came over me. Truly, I don't. I brought my hands up and, cradling her face, we continued our kiss. I felt an arm around my waist. It was Chrissie, embracing us both.
"Mmmm," she moaned. "My two favourite people in the world," she gushed.
"Chrissie... I'm...so sorry...I didn't mean to..." I stuttered.
"Shhh, Tom. It's okay. Em is feeling a bit fragile right now, aren't you?" she said, turning to Emily.
"I am, sorry, Tom," Em sadly said. "It's your sister. She's such a bad influence!" she smiled.
Chrissie wrapped her arms around us, the perfect triangle.
"Well, I wasn't expecting that!" I sputtered to both of them. I had my arm around Emily's and Chrissie's waists. My fingers dug into both of them.
Emily muttered, "I...I should get back to..." as she hesitantly turned to go.
Chrissie turned to Emily and, stroking her cheek said, "Emily. You don't have to."
"I...I should Chrissie. Thank you, Tom," Emily whispered. "I...I needed that."
"Okay, " Chrissie said, cheerfully. She grabbed my hand and walked me over to her desk. Chrissie coyly sat in her chair with me standing above her.
"Where did...?" I started to say.
"Shhhh. Later? So...what brings you here? This is a wonderful surprise," she said. "Isn't it Emily?" she said playfully and a bit louder.
"I...I finished everything and thought I'd come by and surprise you...both."
"You certainly did that!" Chrissie laughed. "Do you want to hang around with us or take a walk through the galleries?"
"I'd...love to stay here and watch you both. If that's okay?" I asked.
"Em? Should we let Tom stay here and...watch us, or should we kick him out? I can call security!" she giggled.
"Let him stay and...watch. Your brother loves to watch, doesn't he?" Emily asked, with the most deliciously subdued lilt. She had regained her poise, which was adorable.
Chrissie just laughed. I didn't.
"Well, you can sit here or just have a nosy look around, okay? We won't be that long. Maybe an hour, tops?" Chrissie said.
I helped Chrissie up from her chair and kissed her. When we broke away, I looked over at Emily. She was watching us.
I sat down and rummaged through catalogues on the desk and let Chrissie get back to work. I saw them both talking in whispered tones, glancing at me every so often.
What the fuck are those two up to, I thought.
I heard Chrissie's raised voice, "Whatcha thinking about, Tom?" she giggled.
I blushed.
"Ohh, nothing. Just this article I'm reading," I lied.
"Humph..." she smiled.
I tried my best to ignore them both. They had work to do, after all. It was getting close to closing up so I shuffled around a few more periodicals and let them be. I was enthralled watching Chrissie at work. She moved with a purpose and looked so assured.
