Quick Recap: My name is Ares Carmichael (Age 21). Moments ago, my father, Charles (Age 48), barged in on a group I was with, including my fiancé Nicole (Age 22), my sister Polina (Age 22), and a friend of hers, Caitlyn Bridger (Age 22). He gave me an ultimatum while his goons, Damon (Age 40) held me in a vice grip, and Henry (Age 38) had a gun pulled on the girls.
After a back and forth, things got heated and I got beaten up, Nicole acted in self-defense against Henry, Damon got shot in the neck, and dad got shot in the small of his back.
Caitlyn had grabbed a dish towel and was stopping the blood flow from Henry's wound, while I surveyed the room.
I looked at the group at large, "Somebody call 9-1-1!" I screamed, "NOW!"

The ambulance arrived around quickly, and paramedics took dad and Henry to the hospital. I got taken in another vehicle and Damon in a third. The girls all took their car and met us there within minutes of each other.
I was examined by a handful of nurses and an orderly while my dad and Henry were rushed into the trauma rooms. Apparently, Damon was pronounced "dead on arrival" and sent to the morgue. A couple of cops also entered and split up. One of them, a tan guy with brass-colored hair that looked around his mid-thirties went to speak to Henry, while the other, a young red-haired man who looked no older than 20, approached me.
"Good evening, I'm officer Mckay." he said to me, "Can you describe what happened?"
I hesitated, knowing how it would look if I told the whole truth. Taking a deep breath and wincing in pain, I said, "There was an altercation in my apartment and my fiance felt threatened. There was a scuffle and one of our assailants' guns got out of his hand.
"My fiance took it and tried to get them to back down, but one of them charged her and she shot him in self-defense. I think my dad tried to reach for the man's gun and she shot on instinct."
Office Mckay nodded, "Did you know your attackers?" he asked.
I shook my head, "Not personally." I said, "I saw them a few nights ago when my dad barged in one night and demanded to know where my sister was. The blonde guy in there," I gestured to the trauma room, "Walked in on my Fiancé while she was masturbating. He got an earful and I think he thought he could intimidate her tonight."
"Did he try to force himself on her?" asked the cop.
I shook my head, "yes, he groped her breasts and reached into her pants. He also forcefully kissed her. In the altercation that followed, he ended up getting stabbed. I don't remember who did it."
The cop nodded and wrote in his notes, "Thank you for your time. Can I get your name, sir?"
"Ares Carmichael," I said.
"And your faincé's name?" he added.
"Nicole Ericson," I said.
"Thank you again. I hope you feel better," he said, before walking away.
A minute later, the other cop walked out of the trauma room and approached me, "Good evening, sir, I'm officer Hogan. Do you mind answering some questions to corroborate the information I received?" he said.
I shrugged, "I suppose."
"Good," he said, "According to the gentleman in there, your fiancé assaulted him with a knife and fired a few rounds into his partner and the victim currently heading into surgery. Is that correct?"
I shook my head, "The guy with the stab wound had his gun pointed at my fiancé, and had groped her in several places, as well as forcefully kissed her without her consent. There was a scuffle and he lost his gun. My fiancé picked it up to feel safer since I was knocked to the ground at the time."
"Who assaulted you?" asked the officer.
"The guy's partner," I said, "He was sent to the morgue, I think."
The officer wrote down in his notepad, "So, basically what you're saying is that you were attacked and everything that happened was in self-defense?" he asked.
I nodded, "Yes, and after it was over, we tried to help stop the man's wound from killing him." I said, "Regardless of what went down, I wasn't about to let someone bleed to death in my apartment!"
The officer nodded, "Thank you for your time. If I have any further questions, I'll be back."
With that, he walked back to his partner. Seconds later, the doors to the ER opened and Nicole, Polina, and Caitlyn burst through, swarming around me!
I hugged Nicole and whispered in her ear, "I told the cops it was self-defense, so no matter what happens, we're sticking with that!"
She nodded and kissed me, "Because it's the truth. I reacted because I was assaulted and threatened!" she said, and I knew she was sincere from her gaze.
Just then, one of the doctors came out of the trauma room and approached me, "Mr. Carmichael, I'm doctor Jeffries." he said, "Your father sustained some injuries to his spine, so we've taken him up to surgery. Is there anyone I can call to let them know what happened?"
I hesitated, before saying, "My mother's probably at home, but she's probably asleep so you'll likely get her answering machine."
The doctor nodded, "Regardless, we'll need next of kin consent and, despite you being a blood relative, I don't think you can make those kinds of decisions lightly. May I have her phone number?"
