Chapter 18
As they stare at each other, it dawns on Sam to welcome her into their home. Stepping aside, he says, "Sorry, don't know what came over me, but welcome to our home. Come in. Come in. Did you want me to take your suitcase up to our room?"
Patricia's taken aback by Sam's chivalrous nature and says, "Thanks."
Sam grabs the suitcase and hauls it up to the Master bedroom. As he climbs the steps, he reaches out to his slut and says,
"Perhaps you should introduce your friend to your other lover. She's waiting patiently in the Living room."
Sasha looks up at him and says,
"What a brilliant idea, Master."
Looking over at her friend, Sasha heads to the Living room says, "I have someone else I want you to meet. She's my Master's omega and my lover, Tessa. Tessa, this is my girl friend from university, Patricia. Hope both of you can be good friends." She watches both girls nod their heads at one another as a greeting. Majority of times, women would get up and hug each other, but since they are from different species, it's just a nod for now.
Tessa looks over at Patricia and takes her all in. She's definitely bigger on top compared to big-sister and thicker. Definitely cute in her own way. However, she's wary around other vamps. Yes, she has fallen for big-sister, but knows nothing of Patricia, other than she's big-sister's friend from college. Be that at may, she acts friendly around her. She says, "Come, sit. Welcome to our home. Bet you have questions."
Patricia gleams over Tessa and her hair. Ash blonde, interesting, and it's so long. Trying not to stare at her for too long, she tries to be discrete. She asks, "Sasha says you're an omega. Is that right? What does that pertain to exactly?"
Tessa bows her head with a grin and says, "It means I am an omega werewolf, and that I am Sam's mate. I ran over 900+ miles to meet him and it's been the best decision I have ever made. And with that, I met big-sister. She welcomed me with open arms. Changed my view of vampires in general. She has never lied and continues to offer me love. Our relationship has grown since then, right, baby?"
Sasha smiles and says, "It has, and then some. Can't get enough of you, baby."
Patricia puts the pieces together and looks at Sasha. She says, "That would mean... Sam's a werewolf too. Your dominant is a werewolf?"
Sasha looks over at her friend and says, "Yes and no. He wasn't always a werewolf. Sam's much more to me than that. He's only been the Dire for little over 2 months, but has been my dominant for over 5 years now. He literally changed my life for the better. I owe him everything."
Sam finally returns and walks in. He says, "You don't owe me anything, slut. I was glad to help open your horizons. If it wasn't for you, I would still be looking for work."
Patricia looks from her dear friend to Sam and asks, "So, what do you do for work?"
Sam grins at her and says, "I'm a vampire bounty hunter for one. Two, my pack and I do supernatural jobs here and there from time to time. And last, I am the Dire." Hopefully she knows what that is. But by the look of things, she has no clue what the Dire is. Luckily, his slut steps in and fills in the blanks.
Sasha turns to Patricia and says, "Master is the Dire werewolf." Looking at her friend, she sees she does not know what that pertains. Smiling, she continues, "The Dire is a supernatural being that will stop the war and bring the factions together under one rule. The Firm has hired him to look into some elite vampire murders. We were at The Firm the other day, to learn a group of werewolves, and a vampire murdered Christopher Blake on their property."
Patricia looks over at Sasha and says, "Vampire? That's not what The Firm report said. 'It said werewolves attacked him and his guards', but there was nothing mentioned about another vampire." Sounding agitated, but tries to find some composure to not alert the surrounding werewolves her connection to the case.
Sasha looks over at her Master before saying anything more. Seeing his hand raise, she leans back in her chair to let him speak.
Sam sees that Patricia's shaken up by the news and wonders why that is. Looking over at his slut, he sees that she's not compelling. He knows that she's holding back in telling him something and lets it go. Turning back to Patricia, he says, "The Firm hired us to check the crime scene and find the perpetrators of this murder. We, myself and my omega, smelled the crime scene and figured it out that 7 werewolves attacked the victim and his guards. Two werewolves per guard, and three for the victim, Christopher. The attack, in itself, was sudden and concise. The attackers killed the vampires quickly, as they didn't have time to react. Upon further investigation, we found Christopher was meeting with another vampire in the gardens. The fact that all outside cameras were turned off shocked us. Now, the shocking part. There was a vampire hiding or leaning against the tree while the werewolves mauled their prey. I smelled a distinct cologne on the small tree in the gardens." He lets that sink in before continuing.
Patricia looks at him with shock, but tries to find some rationale for the cologne placed. She suggests, "The cologne could be from the victim himself before he was murdered, from a 'Norm' and/or from the lead werewolf on the scene."
Sam nods his head and says, "I thought that, too. But werewolves wouldn't dare wear cologne, because we're scent hunters. We conceal ourselves from smells. It makes us deadly when hunting our prey. Now before you jump to conclusions saying, it could be a 'Norm', it has to be a vamp. Now Norms have restricted access to the gardens and property. So it had to be a vampire. Yes, it might have been Christopher, but he was killed, what... 10 feet away from the tree and his cologne was different compared to the one on the tree." Seeing the lights turned on in her head. Sam continues, "I smelled the scene and from what I gathered, the vamp left with the werewolves after they murdered the three elite vamps. His cologne and trail ran with the werewolves as they escaped through the woods. I know what you're thinking, but it's true. A vamp hired werewolves to kill this Christopher guy." He stops and lets Patricia process the news. From the look on her face says it all; she knew the victim but what was she to him, he wonders.
