Thank you for reading my story.
Waiting for Maurice and Henri to secure the little nest where Elaine remained hidden at the back of the root cellar, Eloise thought back to the week of her oldest's child's conception...Remembering
Eloise had awakened to the man thrusting deep inside of her from behind, for several minutes before feeling him explode within her channel. The extra hard push in her depths and wet heat as he bottomed out somewhere deep within, announced that he was leaving more of his seed inside of her. Eloise loved the feeling of this man within her body. He was a great lover and husband but... he wasn't her Henri!
This man was the stand in, for the main actor. It was this man that had opened her married eighteen year old channel for her, when her husband Henri, had been too drunk, to do little more than fill her crotch with semen. Henri, barely even breaching her woman hood as he had been entirely too intoxicated to do little more than cut the wedding cake. Apparently, just the feel of her opening kissing Henri's tip sent him over the edge before her new husband passed out in an alcoholic fog.
Eloise had been furious! She had dressed in her traveling clothes packed her bags and was standing in the train station waiting for the office to open so that she could trade her ticket to Paris for one back home.
"Eloise my sweetheart, what are you doing up at this hour? You should be in bed with Henri!" said her new mother in law Marguerite as she sat in the corner of the train station reading the newspaper from the day before.
"Mrs. LeGaul, I am going home! Henri left me hot and bothered with a sticky crotch! It was uncomfortable and then he snored loudly in my ear. I can... not, wake, his sorry, drunk ass! I don't want this for the rest of my life. I want a lover not a selfish drunk! My mother told me it would be amazing after it hurt. It didn't get past uncomfortable, and it was over! I am so very disappointed!" Eloise said stomping her foot before she sat down beside her mother in law.
With a sigh Marguerite stated "I understand completely my dear. I am here because I cannot get Maurice or Richarde to stop snoring! I did not hear the midnight train to Leon, they were so loud!" at that both women began to laugh. "Come with me I know a travelers hostel where we can have a bed to ourselves without the growling, hibernating bears we are married to" she stood and offered her hand to Eloise who accepted it and stood smiling at the older woman.
A mile and four francs later both women had stripped to their under pants and were peacefully slumbering, cuddled in each other's arms beneath the white goose down duvet.
The men would wake alone later to read the notes. The women gave them an ultimatum get control of their love for wine or live without the women in their beds!.
The very next day, the Le Gaul family, would be rocked by the news that the French Government had started a draft for the war with the Germans. Henri didn't want to fight with anyone. Especially not someone like Hanz Luther the across the creek German neighbor and friend.
When they were kids Henri and Hanz had spent a lot of time kicking a ball back and forth over the creek. The ball game finally came to an end, when Hanz sent the ball over really well, hitting the local police officer with it by complete accident. Seeing the officer angry at being hit in the face with the ball, both boys ran for their lives! The officer immediately confiscated the ball. A week later Hanz would wave, and Henri would wave back. "Where is ball" asked Hanz in broken French. "Police took away" replied Henri in equally broken German. "Shit!" Said Hanz in French. "Yeah Shit!" agreed Henri in German. It made them both laugh. "I have bad German." Stated Henri with a big grin. "Yes! I have bad French!" laughed Hanz. "Wait" said Hanz "Stay here!" hoping Henri would understand the message, as he retrieved a bottle of homemade Beer from his house, bringing it back to the creek. Seeing this, Henri ran to the back door of the house and stole a small loaf of fresh baked bread from the warming bin on the stove. Both young men upon seeing the other one, began wading into the creek to the big flat rock that had been there since before the Roman Empire. In minutes they were feeling no pain. In fact, Hanz had to help Henri out of the creek because of the strength of the German beverage!
The letter said that Henri had two days to report for duty. "In two days? Shit!" Henri thought It would take him two days just to get to Paris. He had to see Hanz and let him know why he wasn't going to be around for a while. Henri, had just crossed the creek and climbed up the steep bank that Hanz made look so effortless. Henri was winded. "Damn! That's a climb! Must be nice to be that tall! Shit!" he had been saying under his breath bent over from the exertion of it. When he heard someone speaking very angry sounding German. He looked up seeing that it was two men he had never met. They were walking toward him one was carrying a shovel and the other one a pitchfork.
They were only a few yards from him when he heard Hanz say in now flawless French "My friend, why are you here?" Henri said in his best German "Come. Look. See my friend" as Henri held up his draft notice. Hanz strode towards him and gently took the piece of paper from Henri. Though he couldn't really read the French, on it he saw the symbols of the government and the military, rightfully concluding that it was similar to the one he had received that afternoon as well from the German government. The other two German men stood a little distance from Henri. Glaring at him as though he had done something that needed to be revenged. "Wait." Hanz said with a brief, thin smile. On his way to the house Hanz said something in rapid fire German to the two men who then nodded in the affirmative and left.
Henri waited nervously. Not for long though Hanz returned with a draft notice of his own. Yeah it looked like his, thought Henri, only in German instead of French. Hanz had to be in Berlin the same day that he would arrive in Paris.
"Good luck My friend we will see each other again and kick the ball." Said Henri in his best German as he shook the big man's hand.
"Yes we will eat of the bread and drink the wine when we come home" a surprised look came over the sandy haired giants face before Hanz said "Wait I have... wait!" Before he ran toward the house. Several minutes later Hanz emerged with a ball like the one that they had kicked back and forth across the creek. "For you! Henri... You must have, so that we can kick when we get home!" said Hanz with that big bright smile that he always seemed to have for Henri. "Thank you my Brother I have nothing to trade with you or to share."
