Chapter 3
(Parts 6 – 9)
I'd like to thank all the readers for their inspiring feedback, I really appreciate it. This is the continuation of Under Her Thumb. For the new readers, it would make much more sense to read chapters 1 and 2 first.
I also wanted to reiterate, this is a multi-chapter love story and a bit of a long tease, not a quick whack N splash, if that's what you're looking for, you may want to look elsewhere.
This chapter is a little longer than the first two, I really hope you enjoy. Please keep voting and I love the feedback, it helps me grow as a writer.

It was past ten in the morning before Steve got up to brave the cold cabin. He'd left his beautiful Ginny cuddled up to Beata after she'd calmed down enough to let go of him. He got the fires burning and ran to the bathroom to finally relieve himself, he'd been busting to pee for more than a half hour. Steve's mind was whirling from the insane events of the morning.
'I swear, I must be mentally challenged... What the fuck is Bea gonna say when she finds out? She'll probably freak and demand to go home... Good job dumbass, way to do all your thinking with the little head.'
He tried to push it from his mind and get onto the chores that needed doing. He checked the battery back-up system and found that it was up to full voltage. Steve then went outside with a long handled brush and cleaned the snow off of the solar panels. While scouting around the perimeter of the cabin area, he found a meandering line of fresh, good sized, bear tracks in the snow. They hugged the perimeter of the tree line about fifty yards from the cabin.
'That's unusual for this time of the year... you'd think the dumb bastard would be hibernating by now.'
Steve knew that they'd have to be careful; a starving, winter bear was a dangerous, desperate bear. He'd have to keep an eye out and he'd have to warn the girls not to go out unsupervised. Steve shoveled snow into the large metal warming hopper protruding out of the wall until it was full. He grabbed one more armload of wood and headed inside. By the time he'd stacked it in the bin by the fireplace, it was filled to capacity.
"Good morning Daddy," he heard behind him. Beata was just coming out of the washroom; her hair was damp and her makeup-free face was as bright and radiant as her white-blond hair.
"Good morning Baby, how's my beautiful girl this morning?
She walked into her father's open arms and stood there hugging him for a long time before she said, "I'm fine Daddy, other than I felt like I could've slept for a week. I had to go pee so bad though that I couldn't put it off any longer."
Steve laughed, "I know the feeling... BabyBea, can I ask you a question?" he asked as he leaned down to kiss the top of her head.
"Sure Daddy," was her muffled response from his broad chest.
"Do you happen to know why I woke up with not one, but two pretty, young women in my bed this morning?" he asked in a serious tone.
She looked up quickly to gauge if he was mad or not. "I'm so sorry, really Daddy, I didn't mean any disrespect," she babbled rapidly, "it's just that, at some point, Ginny and I must have rolled apart in the night. At about five this morning, it was so cold and we were both shivering to death and couldn't get warm... It was my fault Daddy, it was my idea to get into to bed with you, Gin just followed me... Please, I hope you understand Daddy, we were sooo cold and it was sooo warm next to you in your bed, you're like a big, burly furnace." She smiled, and then she looked down sheepishly.
"It's ok BabyBea, I'm not mad, I was just a little surprised when I woke up being spooned by Ginny and spooning you," he chuckled, "some might say that was a little inappropriate."
Bea hugged him harder, "I don't care what others think Daddy, I felt so good inside to be held by you that way, and I felt so loved and protected... I'll never be ashamed of loving how it feels in your big, strong arms. Ginny says she feels the exact same way. She said that last night and this morning were the greatest times of her whole life... She really loves you Daddy, I think, almost as much as I do... Please don't push her away now, not when she's finally feeling loved for the first time in her life... Please Daddy, I'm begging you."
The anguished, imploring look on her face broke Steve's heart. His little girl was so selfless, so concerned for her new little sister. He hugged Beata to him roughly, lifting her feet off the floor, causing a little squeak as he squeezed the air out of her. "I'll never push either of you away Bea. I meant what I said last night, I love you both so much, I would do anything to keep you happy and safe. You're both my little girls now, and I couldn't be happier. Are
you
ok with having an honorary sister?"
Beata looked up at him again with those hypnotic eyes, unabashed by the tears sliding down her face. "I love Gin so much, she's always been my sister, but even more, she's my best friend. You know what she's like Daddy, she's just so... adorable... If I had my way, she'd live with us all the time."
She reached up and pulled his head down to her and said, "I love you Daddy, thank you... thank you for being sooo good to us." She then reached up and tenderly kissed him on the lips for what seemed to him, a very long time. She held him transfixed with her soft mouth, sucking on his lower lip for just a second before releasing. Bea pulled back as though in a trance, her eyes blinking rapidly for a second. "Wow," she said. Just then, Ginny came barreling down the ladder and across the room. With a sob, she burrowed herself into their warm hug, shaking silently. She must have overheard their conversation and her gratitude poured out of her with her tears. Steve and Beata tucked Gin into their hug protectively and kissed each side of her wet face.
"Thank you Daddy, thank you Bea... you guys are too good to me, I love you," she choked up and went silent and just rested her cheek on Steve's chest contentedly. The trio stayed that way for a comfortable minute. Steve had never felt so loved, nor such a huge welling of devotion for anybody before this. He vowed to himself right then that he'd try to be a good man for them, no matter what it took.
Finally, Steve backed away a little. He looked them in the eyes and said, "BabyBea, Ginnygirl, I'm going to go make us a huge breakfast of French toast and maybe some bacon, sound good to you?"
They both lit up the room with their smiles and Bea said, "Yes Daddy...that sounds awesome."
"Mmmmm, French toast," Gin said grinning. They all laughed at her 'Simpsons' impersonation. Steve had turned to go into the kitchen, but spun back with a worried look on his face.
"Oh, I need to ask, and please be honest. Does it bother either of you ladies that I call you 'BabyBea and Ginnygirl? It may seem a little childish and silly, but it makes me feel good inside to think of you both that way," he said bashfully.
Ginny bounced over to him and pulled his face down to her height and kissed him deeply for a second, her tongue just grazing against his lips before saying, "I don't know about Bea, but I love that you think of me that way, it makes me feel so warm and loved inside." She hugged him again and said, "I love you Daddy." Steve hugged her back returning her sentiment and kissing her on the top of her head. Beata agreed with Gin, she adored the pet name he'd given her for very similar reasons. Steve grinned at them happily.
With the girls help making coffee and setting the table, the trio had a filling breakfast and readied to head out into the snow. Before they left, Steve sat them down and made sure they knew he had something serious to say.
"Girls, when I was out scouting this morning, I found fresh black bear tracks out along the tree line. By the size of the prints, I'd estimate it to be a large adolescent, between two and four years old. I need you to understand that because he's not hibernated, there's a good chance he's hungry and desperate. Please girls, you need to listen to me on this one... Do not go outside on your own, not without me there... Okay?" His tone left no room for debate.
"Yes Daddy," both the teens said solemnly.
"Good," he smiled. "Now, with that out of the way, let's go get that Christmas tree!

It was Beata's turn in the sled, and she was laughing like mad as Steve and Ginny pulled her around with the skidoo. Steve was gunning it a little and taking big, sweeping turns through the powder, blanketing the large clearing out in front of the cabin. After a couple more circuits, he stopped so Bea could climb on with them to get warm. She elected to sit in front of her father and lean back into him for warmth as he drove. Ginny held tight to him from behind and it made Steve's mind wander back to the bed this morning.
He chuckled to himself as the snow machine churned and swooshed through the deep powder.
