Waiting for the Light
Chapter Five
The Fourth Kind
By ten that night, we were all wondering if the blue UAP was going to return. The small talk between us had died down. It was Ben, after a lengthy silent period, who spoke first, "Well, that's how these things go, here one minute and gone the next."
"Maybe... but I have a feeling," I replied, scanning the night sky.
It was at that point, I suggested we have a glass of wine and wait for a bit longer.
"Damn, sounds good to me," Gloria chimed in, and quickly added, "One glass won't hurt, whether it comes back or not, right?"
Rachael got up and took Gloria with her.
"Well, Ben, it's been interesting. I mean you do have quite a lot to report on," I said, noting his dismayed look.
"I... I mean
we,
we do have quite a bit, yes. I had hopes that tonight would be something special, if you get my drift," he sighed out, joining me in a sky search.
"I do." My reply came with the ladies return, setting our wine glasses on the table.
"So, anything?" Gloria asked.
Ben's answer came with sudden, nighttime, silence, but this time, it was different. The silence was followed by a low, humming, sound that seemed to grow in volume, and that wasn't all. Without a sound between us, we waited, expecting to see what we'd seen before. Instead, the house lights flickered once, twice, and finally went out altogether, along with all of Ben and Gloria's equipment. The humming grew louder, seemingly coming from everywhere.
"Jesus, what the hell?" Ben said, reaching to see what the problem might be with his laptop. I tapped him on the shoulder.
"Ah... Ben, you might want to look at this," I mumbled out.
Just then, Rachael dropped her wine glass, shattering it on the porch deck. Unlike before, no blue orb, UAP, or whatever was visible. What it was, was a blue-glowing light that seemed to emanate from behind and over top of us.
"Holy shi..." Ben never finished, as the blue light intensified, with an orb finally, slowly, appearing, and descending in the field...

My next conscious moment was waking up on the back deck, feeling the warmth of the sunlight. Opening my eyes to the blinding light, it took several moments to regain my sight. When I did, I found the four of us, naked. Slowly, the others came to, as I did, no less surprised at our nudity.
"What the fuck," Ben muttered out, rushing to cover his manhood.
"Too late for that Ben... what the hell happened?" Rachael asked, rubbing her eyes, as Gloria slowly sat up.
Gloria's eyes went to each of us, getting wider as she did so.
"Okay... okay, let's think this thing through," Gloria commented, sounding far too calm over the event unfolding. "We all heard the humming, right?"
Everyone nodded.
"We all saw the blue light, and the orb, right?"
Again, a unified nod.
"Okay... so we aren't crazy, number one. Secondly, at some point, we all ended up naked. Does anyone recall how
that
happened?"
An uneasy silence ensued.
"Yes or no, for Christ's sake!" Her elevated voice resulted in a collective shrug of naked shoulders. "All right then... I don't recall either, so whatever happened to us, was it the direct result of what we saw?"
No one had an answer.
"Are you saying we were abducted?" Ben asked, interrupting.
"Maybe... maybe that's exactly what happened. Not knowing who or what isn't so much an issue, as much, as why is. Don't you think?" Rachael offered.
"Christ, do you think they performed experiments on us!?" Gloria sounded off, seemingly unnerved for the first time.
A silence ensued again, as we slowly looked at one another. Gloria was the first to reach between her legs. A gasp escaped her lips when she held up fingers covered in cum. Rachael, quickly followed suit, with the same results.
"We were treated like zoo animals! They were watching us fuck!" Gloria blurted out.
"Give me a break... that's all bullshit. We weren't abducted, like Rachael suggested. We all got drunk and probably had group sex, and that's it."
"Shut up, Ben, you have no idea, any more than any of us have, about what went on," Rachael commented.
"So, what now? Anyone... any ideas?" I asked, not really expecting an answer. Oddly, Gloria tentatively raised her hand, as if she were in grade school. "Gloria?"
"I don't know about the rest of you, but I feel... I don't know how to say it. I mean we're all naked and it just feels good, you know."
Gloria had a point. None of us seemed embarrassed. Except for Ben initially, none of us had even bothered to cover up. After clearing my throat, I was about to go on, when Ben entered the conversation.
"Look, if we
were
abducted, there may be signs."
"What? Seriously, Ben?" Rachael asked.
"Yeah, there have been all kinds of reports where people have found things inserted in their bodies, or odd markings, after an abduction or loss of time."
"Holy shit," Rachael muttered out.
Ben nodded his head and went on. "Exactly, no one has an answer to what the things are, but I can tell you it's weird."
Rachael looked my way and whistled out the X-Files theme song again, making Gloria and Ben laugh.
"God, don't encourage her," I remarked. "So, what do you suggest, Ben?"
"Well, these things have been found all over, like in the neck, ears, arms, legs, hands, and feet. Guess we better all start checking," he replied.
So, we did. Well, after thirty minutes had passed, Gloria started to chuckle, and then broke out into a fit of laughter.
"What the hell has gotten into you, Gloria?" Rachael questioned.
It took a minute or two for her to calm down and answer.
"It just hit me," she replied, looking at each of us.
I looked at Ben and shrugged my shoulders.
"Are you okay, babe?" Ben asked.
