Adam glanced from the highway to the long, slim legs and petite feet that were presently stuck out his passenger side window, the bright glint of the sun as it flashed off a silver toe ring and black, glossy nail polish a constant distraction. Adam's eyes traveled up those slim legs all the way to where a much to large dark green tee shirt had hiked up to reveal the frilly edge of a pair of cream colored panties.
Adam found that there were even more distracting things than a pair of beautiful long legs and cute feet stuck out his window.
Adam thought back to how this trip had started a little over three hours before when he finally managed to get out of his apartment in Butte Montana and start driving for interstate 90. Adam had planned to take 90 all the way to Coeur d' Alene Idaho before heading north to Priest Lake for two weeks of hiking, camping, and trout fishing. The trip used to be an annual event with Adam's father until he had passed and it was just something he still did every year in August.
This year had had started just like every other year with the last minute packing, double checking of gear and supplies and the fretting over what he'd managed to miss this time anyway once his Eagle had been stuffed to near bursting. The drive to interstate 90 had gone quick enough since Adam had got on the road at a mind numbing 5am to beat the traffic rush, but the trip had taken a decidedly odd twist when he'd reached the interstate and pulled into the Flying J five miles west of Butte.
The Flying J was as much a part of the annual trip to Priest Lake as the camping itself and Adam had pulled into the truck stop with a familiar sense of déjà vu. He'd quickly topped off the tank of his old 81 Jeep Eagle and headed for the combination tourist trap, fast food restaurant, and truckers rest stop to pay for his gas and pick up the required accessories of a large soda, skittles, and beef jerky for the long drive ahead. Adam had glanced at a young woman leaning beside the door as he walked in and couldn't help but do a double take. The woman was about his own age in her mid 20's and had an oval face, green almond shaped eyes with short, jet black hair that had to be a bad dye job cut in a boyish pageboy style with sandy blond eyebrows that had made him smile. A diamond stud glittered in one of her eyebrows as well as another small diamond in her nose. Her cloths were a mismatched ensemble of a huge, baggy green tee shirt, black sweat pants and white canvas deck shoes without any laces. The woman smiled back when she saw Adam's glance and he had felt himself blush as he nodded to her and headed inside.
As Adam grabbed a soda and wandered up and down the aisles looking for his snacks for some reason he couldn't stop thinking about the woman. The odd, pierced, almost Goth look really wasn't a look he was into, but there was just something there that he couldn't forget. Adam got in line for the register and found himself looking out the windows of the gift shop in the hope of seeing the woman again and was disappointed when he couldn't find her anywhere. Finally it was Adam's turn at the register and he quickly paid, still scanning the cars out in the parking lot in the hopes of at least catching a finally glimpse of the woman.
Adam stepped outside and paused, looking slowly around the fuel island and parking lot before finally shaking his head at his own foolishness and heading for his Eagle with a grin. Halfway to his car Adam stopped in the middle of the parking lot as he caught sight of someone sitting in the passenger seat of his car.
"Move!" a driver shouted and honked, causing Adam to jump and start walking towards his car again.
Adam angled for the hood, watching whoever was in his car closely until he was finally able to get a clear view inside. Adam nearly tripped and fell as the woman he had seen earlier turned her head and gave him the same, enigmatic smile she had given him earlier from where she sat in the passenger seat of his car.
"Uh, hi?" Adam managed to say when he finally reached the driver side of his Eagle, leaning down and peering inside as if the car belonged to someone else.
"Mind if I get a lift?" the woman asked with a grin.
The woman's voice was a soft contralto that literally sent a shiver up Adam's back as he simply stared at her.
"Umm, you ok?" the woman finally asked after several seconds.
Adam shook his head, feeling like an idiot and tried to think about what the woman had said.
"But... you don't know where I'm heading," Adam was finally able to reply.
"It ain't here, which is good enough," the woman said.
Adam opened his door, wondering if this was really happening as he slid behind the wheel of his car. The old Eagle was definitely beat up, with a mismatched front right body panel and a hood a shade off color from the rest of the car, but the interior was clean and Adam had even had it reupholstered last year when he'd rebuilt the engine and transmission. Now as he slid in beside the woman with nothing between them on the wide bench style seat he was very glad he'd never bothered to look for the bucket seats he'd seen in other Eagles.
"I'm Adam," Adam said as he started the engine, glancing over at the woman who was staring back at the truck stop.
"Nice to meet you Adam, I'm Beth," the woman said without even looking in Adam's direction.
Adam dropped the gear selector of the Eagle into drive and began to slowly pull out of the parking lot while trying to ignore the distraction that Beth was causing just by sitting beside him. He pulled out onto the feeder road and then made a right and began to accelerate down the onramp before he realized that Beth didn't have any idea where he was heading.
"I'm heading as far as Coeur d' Alene then getting off the interstate to head up north," Adam said as he merged onto the interstate.
"Cool," Beth replied, staring out her window at the high desert along the highway.
Adam glanced at Beth in surprise before turning back to the road.
"Hey, listen," Beth suddenly said, "I've been going pretty much nonstop without any sleep for two days, do you mind if I take a nap for a while?"
"No, go ahead," Adam replied, amazed that a woman would feel comfortable getting into a car with a complete stranger and then just taking a nap with barely an introduction or any idea where they were headed.
Without another word Beth kicked her deck shoes off and then lifted her hips up enough to slide the sweat pants she was wearing off. Adam had just a glimpse of her inner thigh before Beth tugged her over sized tee shirt down and shoved her balled up sweatpants into a tattered leather backpack that Adam hadn't noticed on the floorboard.
"I like this car," Beth said with a grin as she stretched out across the seat and put her head in Adam's lap, "These funky seats are perfect for sleeping!"
With that Beth had propped her feet out the passenger side window and closed her eyes.
The next three hours had been the quickest Adam had ever driven on interstate 90 as Adam stared in turn at Beth's face with t her head nestled in his lap to her long, amazing legs and feet. Even the oversized tee shirt had added to the mood of surreal sexuality as it had first slipped off her shoulder to reveal the swell of a breast before slowly hiking up her hips when she shifted to reveal her inner thigh and soft swell of her mound covered by her panties. Adam had had a semi for the entire three hours and now that Beth's tee shirt had pulled up and he could actually see the crease of her sex in the satiny fabric of her panties he had a full blown erection and couldn't do a thing about it with Beth's head in his lap. Adam smiled as he just hoped that she wouldn't notice just how lumpy her pillow gotten.
Beth shifted, rolling onto her side as her stomach let out a loud growl.
"Ummm, where are we?" Beth asked, her head still in Adam's lap.
"About thirty miles outside of Coeur d' Alene," Adam replied.
Beth shifted her head and Adam had to stifle a moan as Beth pressed against his erection through his jeans.
"What, are you trying to poke my eye out?" Beth asked with a grin, pulling her legs inside the window and sitting up.
"Wha...," Adam chocked out before starting over, "What?"
